My family had the greatest stay at Santa Cruz/Monterrey KOA. The Staff was great and the accommodation are awesome. We really enjoyed our time and all the activities.

We absolutely loved our stay. Having four young kids it was nice to stay somewhere that had a LOT of different activities for kids to do. If that wasn't enough you're less than an hour drive north to the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk and less than an hour drive south to the Monterey Bay aquarium. We have determined we will stay here every Spring Break going forward. It'll be a new family tradition.

Monterey Santa Cruz KOA exceeded every expectation. The front desk was incredibly welcoming, grounds were spotless, housekeeping kept everything fresh, and security made it feel safe at all hours. Every staff member goes above and beyond—this isn’t just a stay, it’s an experience. We’ll 100% be back.

I really appreciated working with Kate. She was so responsive and made our stay so straightforward and fun. Leading a group of just under 450 people could have been a lot, but she and the staff helped make sure the whole weekend went smoothly. Looking forward to working together again next year for our annual school camping trip.

One of the nicest KOAs we've been to with lots of activities for kids and adults, daily updates about things to do, decent snack bar, large camp store/market, helpful and friendly staff, and fairly close to area attractions.

This was our first visit back to this KOA in almost 2 years. The property is much cleaner and better maintained than before. Lots of upgrades have occurred and are ongoing. The staff was amazing. They were eager to assist in any way possible. They were all so joyful and it was apparent that they are happy to be working at this campground, which only added to our positive experience.

Loved every aspect, especially how clean everything was. I do wish that we were allowed to swim after our checkout time but we were told we had to request a late checkout to swim in the pool after 11am even if we had vacated our site by 11. I've never run into that before and we travel a lot. Great stay overall. Thanks!

All of the KOA team members were so friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure we all had a great time. Our cabin was clean inside and out. My kids loved the blob, bounce pad, playground and pool. My only complaint was the e-bikes and e-scooters not respecting the 5 mile per hour speed limit- we were almost run over by them on more than one occasion.

We just purchased our first MotorHome. This was the first time I had driven it or my wife and I had used it. Everyone of the KOA employees were very friendly and extremely helpful. The campgrounds were clean neat. Just a little worried about the many children (as young as ten years old) and adults zipping around the grounds at way more than the posted speed of 5mph riding electric vehicles. Scary!

We had the BEST time!! The campgrounds were well maintained and the staff was friendly and welcoming! It was VERY obvious that each member of the staff LOVE what they do!! We cannot wait to book our next stay!!

We absolutely love our local KOA. The staff are all very friendly, especially the manager Andy. There are so many fun activities that our toddler is never bored. We will be back soon!

THIS is how you do family camping! Five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stayed at the Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay KOA during our family trip down the California coast, and what a wonderful experience! Traveling with kids and a large RV can be an adventure all on its own, so finding a campground that genuinely makes families feel welcome is worth its weight in gold. From the friendly communication to the fun, family-oriented atmosphere, this KOA reminded us exactly why we love traveling this way. The Halloween activities were such a fun addition to our trip, and we appreciated the thoughtful text communication that helped us feel informed and welcome. What really makes a campground special isn't just the location or amenities. It's the people, the atmosphere, and those little details that turn an ordinary overnight stay into a family memory. We travel because we want our kids to experience new places, have adventures, and make memories together. This is exactly the kind of campground that makes those experiences enjoyable for everyone—including the parents! A big thank-you to the team for creating such a welcoming environment. Your efforts do not go unnoticed. We would happily return and recommend this KOA to other families!
