So much fun! The Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay KOA is the perfect place for a family vacation. This is definitely a happy place for our grandchildren! their favorite activities here are riding bikes around the campground, swimming in the beautiful pool, riding the train, and jumping on the jumpy pillow. Always puts a smile on their faces. And so close to the beach for playing in the sand and sunsets!

We had a great time at the Santa Cruz KOA! The staff was all very friendly and helpful, and the park was beautiful and clean. We especially love the fun train and the playground!

We were impressed by the changes that have been made. Love the security at night. Park was clean and well maintained as compared to our last stay there in 2021. Plenty of activities for the kids.

Facilities and amenities were fantastic, but you've changed your policies so that guests cannot come visit for the day. The entire reason we booked with your KOA was that it had fun activities for the kids and large enough sites where the family can come visit for a few hours here and there. Very disappointed my family was turned away.

We love this KOA. We had just one issue which was the cleanliness of our cabins. There was dog hair and silver hair in one cabin with dirt under the beds like it was never swept. Then one of our other cabins had someone’s dirty socks underneath. But all in all staff was amazing and we had fun so I won’t lessen the stars I give.

The location was good. The pool area was nice and it was kept warm. The KOA was near the beach and multiple other sites we were planning on visiting. The cabin cleanliness was lacking. We had to request sheets for one of the beds due to staining. The beds were not very comfortable. For the price we expected more when the hotel down the street was only $50 more per night.

We had a great time, loved all the amenities and closeness to the beach! Only recommendation is to get lights over the playground. When it gets dark at 5 pm kids still want to play and it’s unsafe to be playing in the dark.

The park was too geared toward children having fun and not around old time camping where people would set aside the noise and electronics and enjoy nature. if you are a family that wants your children to be entertained the whole time, then it would be a great place for them, but otherwise it’s too loud and busy for someone who wants to rest and relax in the outdoors. I appreciate the kind staff.

Your early check-in policy is very customer unfriendly. My family has camped with KOA for many years, but I don’t expect to ever visit a KOA again.

All was good. The small dog parks through were a hit. Heated pool and jacuzzi were definitely a treat and well maintained. There was some load work performed before 10am. Hopefully, it was a one off. And why the wrist bands? Overall we love it and will be back. Keep the good work and see you soon.

I enjoy this campground, the facilities are lovely. We enjoyed the pool/hot tub, the playground, and the bounce pillow, along with the laundry room. Our cabin cleanliness was disappointing, however when I told the staff they were apologetic and fixed the problem, which is all you can ask for when mistakes happen.

We had a great time, but I feel like the wristbands and requiring the name of every person on the reservation is a bit much for a camping experience. Telling people they can’t be on the property even a few minutes before check-in is ridiculous. Also telling people to leave immediately following check-out time is odd. Felt overly strict and regulated, which was stressful for an off-season visi

We really love and enjoy your facility. Everything is kept clean and well maintained. We were in site 222 this last time and it's the first time we completely were not happy at all with the site. It was narrow, next to a path, and way too close to a cabin that had extremely noisy guests(especially those that came in Monday with a camper van). Hopefully we never get that site again.

We go there alot because we love it but it seems to be going down hill. We rented the loft cabin and had a 11 month old baby and the inside front doors grids were broken and sharp and the baby almost got cut on them. Then we told the front desk that we couldn't get iur fire started the night before cause the wood was wet and they assumed we didn't know how to light a fire and we have been camping

The hot tub and pool are clean and hot, the jump pillow area and playground and outside games provide entertainment space. Beach walkable. Lots of food choices and cool stuff in store

Arrived at 12:15PM. Was told that I had to pay $25 for early check-in. WAS NEVER TOLD THIS IN ADVANCE. Felt ripped off for this from the start. I understand that it is kid friendly, but with numerous kids SCREAMING at the top of the lungs until 10:00PM is out of hand. WORST KOA that I have ever stayed in. Will never come back and will NOT recommend to anyone.

Had an awesome time. The kids had a blast on the pillow, the playground and at the pool. The facilities are always clean. People were very respectful of the quiet hours. I'll be back!

The cabin was very clean and it has both a heater and air conditioning. I thought the bed was very comfy. We were not able to get it as close to the RV's in our group as we would have liked. The price was pretty hefty so I would really have to consider another place if I'm the only one staying in the cabin. The steps were a little difficult to navigate for me but I managed.

Fun activities but the accommodation was disappointing. $250 for a room with no bathroom and the bar from the bed obstructed the TV. Also, I wanted a cup of ice and the cost was $7.00. Too expensive.

We loved this property! Many things to do for kids...heated pool/jacuzzi, bounces pads, playgrounds, dog park & enjoyed a movie (Batman) at the pool area. (we stayed in Oct, Tues-Fri). The only thing I would improve was the showers. Need about 5-6 "hooks" to hang items so they don't touch the dirty ground, a chair to undress.(&updating-see RedBluff KOA) Didn't have small KOA Watsonville stickers.

They have really locked down this place. Quiet hours start at 10PM and that’s very appropriate. But it doesn’t seem right for the security to drive by your camp site while your talking and laughing with friends after 10PM to keep it down or they’ll call the local law enforcement seems a little much. Enjoyed our stay like always ! We’ve been coming for years ! But do to the high fee to stay we will not be returning . It breaks my heart . A lot if our family and friends are planning on going to wine country Rv next year in Paso Robles !These people have been regulars for years !

Nice place to camp. Lots of kids focused activities. The showers were not cleaned often enough and was missing some shelves in some. Close to 2 state beaches if you want to leave the campground and explore. Monterey and Santa Cruz are short drives.

Always a great place to celebrate our annual Memorial Day weekend with grandkids. There are plenty of activities for kids. If you just want to get away for a weekend or a week its a campground I will continue to go to.

Rooms? They have cabins here. And campgrounds for RVs and tents. Everything is clean and well- maintained. Service? They didn't wait on me, but they sure know how to provide a great family environment! Train rides for kids, activities, heated swimming pool, playgrounds, jumping pillows!! They do specials on the weekends for meals, but we didn't take advantage of that. Location? Closer to Santa Cruz than Monterey, but it's the bike riding accessibility that mattered most to me. Nice country road by the campground, leads into towns either direction. Took the Pacific Coast bike trail in two directions on two different days. Very nice!( I had to get used to California drivers and designated bike paths, though.) Lots of places to ride a bike from this KOA!! I'd come back to California from Pennsylvania just to stay here again. 😊
