This was our first time here at Richmond/North, and we were very happy. Excellent level site, bathrooms very big and very clean, roads were nice to drive through. Beautiful, big store, and very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be returning here!!

We have stayed here several times. We were in site 203 this time. The attempted expansion of the sites with crush and run is terrible. I would think someone would attempt to compact the material rather than have it tracked all over the site and RV.

It was a nice overnight stay. The camp was very clean and well looked after. I look forward to coming back and staying in one of the luxury spots for a weekend.

Very clean and well kept campground, Our site was very close to camper in the next site, not a big deal because we only stayed one night, might be an issue for a longer stay. Very clean and up to date bathrooms.

Nice, clear campsite. We were in 200. The next camper was within 5 feet of our camper. Some campsites are too close for slideouts. It didn't upset me, but the guy who pulled in beside me was pissed.

Beautiful level pad lot. Nice barbecue and fire pit. The spacing between campers was very tight where you hook up at.

Second year in a row that we've stayed in the cabins for our kids archery tournament, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We plan on trying to make it back for a weekend in the summer with our camper.

Warmly greeted and our cabin was very clean and very well supplied. We stayed with you for an archery tournament. Other teammates stayed in some nearby chain hotels. The next morning we heard how their rooms were not clean, things didn't work, weren't any towels or too few towels. We told them readily of our excellent experience at KOA. The team will be staying at KOA exclusively next year.

Good stopping place. Amusement park is closed so the park was quiet. I’m sure it’s a happening place in season. Is a nice campground. Only inconvenience was that the laundry uses quarters. Change machine out of order. Big sign that office doesn’t give change. Honestly someone couldn’t have run to the bank for several rolls of quarters for guests til the change machine is fixed?

Great campground with amazing location. The negative: your checkin/out times are not the same everywhere. When booking there’s no mention of closed bathrooms or sections of campground.

We loved the clean and picturesque park as well as the friendly staff. The office/store was a very warm and welcoming large log cabin. And the rates are very affordable! The only negative was that we initially could not locate the waste pipe at our site and recent heavy rains buried it under 4” of soil. No biggie but staff should check that sites are ready for guests.

The workers are very friendly and the campsite is neat and clean but the pads are definitely not wide enough for large motorhomes.

The staff was great! I know the weather cannot be controlled, but maybe with some leveling and site maintenance the flooding would not be so bad. It looked like maybe about a third of the sites flooded including ours.

We just spent the weekend here and overall had a nice experience. This review is based on our stay in the 30 amp back in sites at the front of the campground. PROS: Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, trash pick up at site Nice woodsy feel in parts of the campground Pool and playground looked nice Fenced in dog area and "dog bath" at shower house Close proximity to I95 and Kings Dominion (with free shuttle) CONS: Some gravel RV sites very uneven, we were fortunate to have a decent site although hard to back in due to all the trees, narrow drive, other sites around us were not as good. Super bright lights are turned on at night toward front of campground which takes away from the "camping" feel. Lack of hot water in shower! Another unusual thing is that there was a huge event going on at the campground over the weekend with LOUD music blaring until 11 PM - I doubt this is a regular thing but would have been nice to know about ahead of time. In a nutshell - if you want a convenient place to stop overnight off 95 or want a family friendly place to stay to enjoy Kings Dominion, this is the place for you. I would stay here again if I was in the area for something specific.

If you get a chance rent KOA cabin was very pleased. Went to Rodeo. This is a camp 🏕 ground.

We stayed in a cabin for two nights and would 100% recommend!! We had seven people between two families and the accommodations were PERFECT. I cannot stress how clean it was…even when I pulled one of the futons out from the wall to make it into a bed, the floor under and behind it was spotless! Amazing! The public bathrooms were also immaculate. We stayed here for two nights with the express purpose of going to King's Dominion and greatly appreciated the shuttle. The kids enjoyed the playground and ball rentals a few times. Overall, 10/10!
