Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum - 0.5 Mile

WELCOME = The Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum opened in 2002 with a vision to bring recognition to Kentuckians who have made a significant contribution to the music industry. With that vision in mind, a collection of artifacts and memorabilia highlighting the careers of the over 50 inductees fill the museum.  You can also learn the history of music dating back to the 1800's.  A common misconception is that the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame focuses mainly on country and bluegrass related artist, however there are inductees from all genres of music as including…..The Backstreet Boys, Loretta Lynn, Florence Henderson, Rosemary Clooney, Keith Whitley, Boots Randolph, and so many more. The entrance to the building is unique to any other museum and is historical as it was once the sight of the original riding stables of Renfro Valley founder, John Lair. That portion of the building now houses the visitor center and a must-see gift shop with new products and souvenirs.  Most of the original structure of the stable is still intact and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Cumberland Falls State Resort Park

Cumberland Falls State Resort Park is located deep within the beautiful Daniel Boone National Forest. Known as the "Niagara of the South," the waterfall forms a 125-foot wide curtain that plunges 60 feet into the boulder-strewn gorge below. The mist of Cumberland Falls creates the magic of the Moonbow, only visible on a clear night during a full moon. This unique phenomenon appears nowhere else in the Western Hemisphere. Cumberland Falls is a hiker's paradise with 17 miles of hiking trails that wind through the park to waterfalls, fire towers, a beach, forest, and other scenic area. The Moonbow trail connects with many backpacking trails in the Daniel Boone National Forest. Guided horseback rides, guided white water rafting, swimming, and fishing are also other options for great family funtimes.
