Welcome to Ogallala/I-80 KOA Journey. We look forward to having you as our guest. Upgrade to a KOA PATIO or KOA PAW PEN PATIO today. YOU DESERVE IT!!

Check-in is at 1 pm Mountain Time. Make sure you note that we are in Mountain Time Zone. If you are traveling from the EAST, you will change time about 20 miles before you arrive at our location. There are 2 KOAs in Ogallala. We are I-80 KOA, so make sure you follow directions when traveling here to 221 Road East 85 Ogallala, NE.

We are conveniently located just off I-80 in Ogallala. Our property runs right along I-80, which makes it very easy to get on and off the interstate. Two truck stops are within walking distance for quick and easy fueling. We do not have propane on-site, but a local company (SAPP Brothers on Highway 30) offers propane during normal business hours. We are just nine miles from Lake McConaughy, which offers fishing, boating, swimming, and lots of sandy beaches. Ogallala has a lot of history and was the end of the Great Western Trail. Ogallala is known as Nebraska's Cowboy Capital. There are many things to do within a 200-mile radius. Come and stay with us - we look forward to having you as our guest!

Ways to Stay for Every Kind of Camper
If you are looking for Tent Sites, we do offer a few sites that come complete with water and electricity and a fire pit, as well as access to our restroom and shower facilities. A kitchen sink is available at Town Square for you to do your dishes (please do not use the restrooms for dishwashing). If you have an RV of any size, we have a spot for you. We offer a few back-in or pull-in sites that have a picnic table, and you can request a fire pit if you would like one. We have brand new KOA Paw Pen Sites, where your pet will have its own on-site fenced K9 area to enjoy and be let loose (please do not leave pets unattended) while you enjoy your own private patio with a BBQ and fire pit area. We also have KOA Patio Sites with your own private patio area, which includes a BBQ grill and your own fire pit seating area. We also have long pull-through sites with full hooks ups that will allow you to stay connected if you choose. All sites have a picnic table for your use, and you can request a portable fire pit if you would like to use one. Are you traveling with friends or family? Reserve one of our full hook-up pull-through BUDDY sites that will allow your doors to open to each other, and you can gather between each other's sites (fire pits available on request). These sites do have size restrictions.

On-Site Amenities
Our amenities are the little extras that ensure your stay is as comfortable and pleasant as it can be. We do NOT have cable TV. We are in a very rural area and have no local channels, but you can pull in about 4 PBS channels if you point your antenna to the EAST. We do offer WIFI that allows streaming capabilities. We offer two KampK9s for your four-legged friends to be able to get out and run after being couped up from a long day on the road. We offer gaga ball, corn-hole, horseshoes, and a playground for your use. We do not have a pool, but Lake McConaughy is just 9 miles north of us and they have great places to swim. We also have a Town Square area with charcoal grills, a built-in fire pit, a kitchen sink, and a seating area to gather and make new friends. We have a laundry room that is open 24 hours a day for your use. There is no change machine, but we can give you quarters at the front desk during business hours. The laundry room does have cable TV for your use. We take pride in our clean restroom and shower facilities that are open to ALL guests and are open 24 hours a day for your convenience. Our store is open during business hours for any of your needs - we have food, RV supplies, and gifts. We have firewood and ice for sale and we can deliver them to your site. Do you have mail you need to send? We offer stamps for sale in the office and we can mail letters for you daily; just bring them to the office or drop them in the mailbox next to the night registration. We mail these items daily. We have a friendly staff that is here to serve you and help in any way to make your stay the best one yet. We are close to I-80, which makes it very convenient. There is also a train track about a mile away, so you will hear trains as well. If you are worried about noise from the interstate and/or trains keeping you awake, please ask for free earplugs at the front desk upon check-in.

Off-Site Amenities
There is lots to do within a 200-mile radius. We are just 9 miles south of the beautiful Lake McConaughy. Here you can boat, fish, swim, and hike around the lake. In town, we have the Petrified Wood Gallery, Boot Hill, and Mansion on the Hill
