Ocean Beach Park is fun in the sun! This beautiful sugar sand beach has it all - a long boardwalk, waterslide, outdoor pool, playground, arcade, nature walk and a very wide beach to play on. Plus there are restaurants and live entertainment for you to enjoy. There are lifeguards on duty and a fee to access the beach. Ocean Beach Park is located in New London, 20 miles west of North Stonington.

Owned by the Mohegan Tribe, they made history in January 2003 becoming the first Native American tribe to own a professional sports team with its purchase of the Orlando Miracle, a Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) franchise founded in 1988. Renamed the Connecticut Sun, the team was relocated to Uncasville, Connecticut, where they are managed by Mohegan Sun and play home games inside the Mohegan Sun Arena.
