Employee were knocking to get in while we were in the shower at 8am. Then another employee started spraying bathroom counter top and a family member had to stand far away to wash her hands after using the toilet. The office staff were friendly and helpful. The manager made it right after a mishap with our the reserved site. I would stay here again

It was what summer dreams are made of for all kids. Mine range from 3-16 years old and each one had a blast with lots of things to do. The campgrounds are clean and enjoyable. The staff was amazing.

Enjoyed our stay and the chuck wagon dinner show. A recommendation would be more dump stations for those without sewer hookup. All Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall great stay.

This is a nice campground -- the space between the RV's is adequate and the grill and chairs were great. We did go on the churck wagon dinner event and it was fantastic - overall the stay rates a 9/10 ---We would stay here again.

Wonderful resort. My family had a time. We made reservations to be back next year for Fourth of July.

We stay at KOA campgrounds 90% of the time. This campground is now our favorite of all time. There is so much to do. Although we're retired, we enjoyed all the kids playing together, actually communicating, with no cell phones. Great place for families. They have every rentals you can think of, from bikes to cars.

Amenities were good. Restaurant food and service as well as food court areas were bad. Great facilities for young families but too big and busy for couples

It's a fun place for everyone. There's so much to do. We loved our stay and told everyone about how fun it was there. We've highly recommend it here. I loved the slushy wine drink. We'll definitely be back. Great staff, very polite, friendly, and helpful. Thank you

I was placed in a campsite that was tiny. I couldn't even open the awning on my camper. While there was larger sites unoccupied, im very disappointed

Crowded small spaces. Way too much activity for traveling seniors

I expected better wifi at a KOA this size. Other members of our group who were staying near the back of the campground had better connection. Other than that it was a good experience and the kids enjoyed all the amenities.

The staff were great. Very friendly. Well maintained grounds.

Perfect location, kind & helpful staff , exceptionally clean, and soooo much to do! We did the chuck wagon dinner & loved it!

Awesome property and amenities. But for us too many yelling kids and their bikes almost running into us without a car. And constant OHRV passing even late into the evening. So not our ideal environment.

This resort was amazing. There were so many amenities and options for kids. The prices were surprisingly reasonable. I would definitely return.

The whole experience was a 10. Everything that was offered to do was awesome. Chuck wagon , breakfast at the tent, pizza and ice cream shop was a great choice. The pub and tap room was a great place to get a bite to eat and relax. There was nothing that was not great. Julia and miles especially were a great help and keeping my reservations rolling for my stay. Tbe whole staff was great and friendl

Wonderful time with my family. The grandkids said their favorite part of the trip was panning for the rocks. I loved the trail ride and my husband loved the proximity to lots of places to fish. Best KOA ever!!!!

The week was full of activities and the staff was so very helpful. We look forward to our return.

Great campground! Has every amenity. Only gave 4 stars because I paid extra for a patio site, which was very nice, but on the busiest road in the park. There was a constant parade of loud KOA vehicles going by, all day and into the evening. Bad placement of the premium patio sites.

Staff was so friendly! Lots to do for kids and families. We enjoyed watching all of it. Only suggestion would be the showers. Need some updating with shower curtains and need a bench or chair in the shower area before you step in the shower. Great location to all the attractions.

It was our 2nd time here. Everything was wonderful, with one exception, very disappointed that the hot tub was not working. With the amount of money this KOA brings in, I don't think there is an excuse for this.

My family experience was wonderful, from check-in and escort to the campsite to overall staff friendliness. I want to recognize Kindra from guest services and Jorita from the coffee shop for going above and beyond their work duties to make sure my family was taken care of. I believe both of their welcoming attitude, smiles, jokes, and personalities set my family up for a great camping experience

Has many activities for families with children of all ages. However, it is getting very expensive to keep coming here every summer with our family.

Overall, decent stay. A lot of fun things to do- horses were our favorite. Unfortunately, the pool near the lodge was always full and we could never get on the pickleball court, like we wanted. We stayed in one of the rooms for 3 nights and not once was our room cleaned up- I did not know until the last day that they don't come in the rooms without a request- this needs to be communicated at check-in (a family of four- there were towels piling up on the floor and would've been nice to have our trash taken out, plus we had to go to the desk to ask for toiletries and fresh towels). The lodge has very limited breakfast items (just cereals, muffins, yogurt, etc); would've been nice to have a free hot meal. TV didn't work for 3-4 days (offered very low compensation for this). While the front desk was overall helpful, there were times they could get snarky/short. Would've loved a fitness center/gym offered. Beds were comfortable. Water pressure in shower was good. Room on arrival was clean. Would come again.

We planned our vacation to the Mount Rushmore KOA Resort based on a recommendation from a friend. Since we aren't campers, we opted for a camping cabin, thinking it would be a comfortable alternative to traditional camping. Unfortunately, we were wrong. The website notes that the cabins do not have air conditioning, but it also suggests that it's not needed because temperatures cool off significantly at night. While that may be true under normal circumstances, it wasn't our experience. We visited during a stretch of upper-90-degree temperatures, and our cabin received direct sunlight for most of the day. Because of the cabin's location and window configuration, there was very little airflow. We ran three fans 24 hours a day and kept the front door open whenever we were at the site, yet the cabin didn't reach a reasonably comfortable temperature until after 1:00 a.m. each night. In addition to the heat, the beds were extremely uncomfortable. The mattresses were so firm that we may as well have been sleeping on the ground in a tent. The bottom bunk was especially difficult to use. There was very little clearance, making it hard to crawl in, roll over, or get out. I hit my head multiple times throughout the night. While the camping cabin was not a good fit for us, the resort itself was nice. The property is very large, but they also pack a lot of campsites into the available space. Our cabin site included a picnic table and fire ring, but there wasn't much additional room. We're used to having space to spread out, set up a grill, toss a ball around, and relax, and that wasn't really possible at our site. The bathrooms appeared to be recently renovated. The shower stalls were somewhat small and the water pressure could have been better, but everything was very clean and well maintained. The pools were decent and provided a welcome way to cool off, when they weren't temporarily closed for hygiene-related issues. I do wish there had been more shade around the pool area, such as umbrellas or covered seating. Because one of the pools was closed multiple times during our stay, everyone crowded into the remaining pool. It became too crowded for us to want to get in, and there wasn't enough shaded seating for parents who simply wanted to watch their kids swim. Ultimately, after two nights of miserable sleeping conditions, we decided to cut our stay short and move to a hotel. The staff were very understanding and apologetic about our experience. They refunded the unused nights without hesitation, and I was genuinely grateful for that level of customer service. Overall, if you're an avid camper who doesn't mind dealing with the elements, or if you're traveling in an RV, this is likely a great campground. As for us, we learned an important lesson the hard way: we're just not campers.
