After getting our camp spot we discovered we didn’t have cell service or WiFi. The staff were very helpful in helping us move to a location that worked for us.

What a beautiful campground! The staff was friendly and helpful. The sites were spacious and level. Very convenient to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer StatePark, Custer City, and Hill City. The showers and laundry rooms were very clean. The store was well stocked. The only (slightly) complaint is that the dog park is very small and far from our site. This is the best KOA we have ever stayed

When we were there not much was open in the park and the workers were always driving by so it was a little loud and lots of dogs barking

It’s crowded, but you can’t beat the location. Nice amenities (even after Labor Day). The hot tub is HOT - thank you! Nice gift store, great staff.

Way too expensive charge $100 each site to have my family camp next site. Never will return with family.

We have stayed at several KOA’s this trip and Mount Rushmore has to be the nicest. A very helpful staff member at the check in counter helped us with our sick dog and literally saved our trip. My only complaint is that some of the maintenance staff drive well over 10 mph and kick up a lot of dust not to mention setting a bad example for the campers.

This is such a beautiful location!!! Nestled in the mountains, the area is not only serene and majestic, but considerably more peaceful than any of the KOA’s we spent time at across Canada and the US!

The only disappointment was needing propane in my 2023 Winnebago class a And was told you don’t have the attachment for the tank? Not for lack of trying because they definitely tried

While Ioved the location and the friendliness of the staff there were a couple of things I didn't care for. 1. The dirt pad my Rpod was on. I expect a "resort" to have at least a thick pad of crushed rock and a nice picnic table. Our area was dirt and neglected grass and the picnic table was beat up. 2. The "extras" like on-site restaurants were closed for the season.

Nice campground - BUT, our site was located on a busy intersection at the kids play area. Lots of traffic. The desk person should have tried to situate us away from all the activity, we’re an older couple and we love kids but wanted quieter location. Maybe that could be added to your determination for how sites are selected. Thank you.

One of our favorite places to stay. We are full time RV’ers and bring our Grand Daughter every year. While Mt Rushmore is a little pricey, the amenities truly make this a Resort. From the pools to the activities and especially the Horseback Riding staffed by knowledgeable and personable Wranglers led by Maddie.

Closing down 90% of the amenities wipes out any good attributes. This camp reeks with corporate indifference and poor management decisions. There was eight staff in yellow when I was in the office but still took 1/2 hour to find some one to take me to my site . One pool open and not one restaurant open. KOA really sucked on this one. My last two KOA s this trip got 10 out of 10.

Great place. Quiet, but ramped up for weekend. Most stuff had closed or was being close as we hit late in the season. Everyone was nice, clean sites and friendly people working there. Would use again

Very good KOA. CLEAN rest rooms and grounds. Friendly and attentive staff changed my stay dates with no problems. Would most definitely stay again and recommend.

Everything was closed on site. Coming in, we knew the pool would be closed but we had no idea everything else would be as well. Very disappointing. Wifi was terrible. The firewood price on site is ridiculous. $10.99/ bundle; you can get it for less nearby. The "large" site wasn't. I won't recommend to anyone and we won't be back. It was a rug pull. The only positive was the location.

Enjoyed our stay - great proximity to all the sights around. Verizon coverage is horrible. We stayed after Labor Day so all things at the front of camp were closed. Campsites were long enough, we stayed in 148, no shade so it wasn’t enjoyable in the heat of the day. Gravel and daily level - sites are close - typically what you find in a KOA. This is a large CG and in a very beautiful area.

We stayed 7 days, it was fantastic. Everyone, employees and fellow campers were amazing. The 2026 Octoberpalooza was something else! One complaint is the air chuck is worn out.

It was a great place and was close to places we wanted to see. Peaceful place for sure. 2nd week of September so a lot of things were shut down already. Need to stay in August so we can enjoy more things.

Loads of amenities IN SEASON. Nothing after Labor Day. Be careful booking “pull through” sites if towing vehicle in a 40 foot class A. Very few sites where you won’t have to unhook.

This jam packed KOA has it all. 2 pools. Waterslide. Playgrounds. Restaurants on the property. Horseback riding. Rodeo. UTV rentals. Lots of activities for the kids. Bounce pillow. It's right down the road from Mount Rushmore. Bathrooms were cleaned regularly. Cell phone reception is pretty poor, but you can't blame KOA. WiFi is pretty good if you are near their hotspots. There was always KOA employees ripping around, which they should slow down a little bit. We did experience the bees as mentioned by other reviewers. Everyone had a great time and we enjoyed our stay.

Great first experience with KOA! The reservation process was easy, and changing our dates was very convenient. Communication with Dee Dee before arrival was excellent, and check-in was quick and easy. The campground was clean, especially the bathrooms, and all the guests were very respectful. The sites are a little close together, so I would probably avoid the busy summer season. Overall, we were very impressed and would definitely stay here again!
