Lovely! Very understanding! My one complaint would be the showers specifically having water pressure issues/some yucky curtains but otherwise, all bathrooms and all accommodations were very clean otherwise!

We were unaware the pool, hot tub, and stables would be closed for the winter when we booked. Because the office closed at 6 we couldn’t get firewood for our first night and unfortunately had someone steel our firewood so no fire for the 3rd night. Bathroom door didn’t lock so after a couple uncomfortable incidents we used the guest bathrooms. Not the happy stay we had 11 years ago.

No cell service or wifi so I was unable to connect with friends staying in the same location. Young adults at the neighboring cabin were yelling across the campground at their friends due to the same reason. Firewood wasn't delivered as requested. No one answered the after hours phone number, or they dont have cell service. Good thing was I didn't have to plug the shower with quarters.

Have camped here for several years with RVs & staying in your big park model cabins, but wanted to try your camping cabins out. Along with the nice outdoor kitchen pavilion, it was easy to prepare meals & cleanup. The cabins were great, very rustic. Everyone that works there is real nice and pleasant, upper pool and hot tub are great and well taken care of, the comfort stations and showers are clean, however the cabin I stayed in had chipmunk inside running around and had to to be chased out, mice ran around the cabin every night and traps were promptly sent over where 4 mice and 1 chipmunk were caught inside cabin at night while we slept.

The KOA resort was beautiful. The only suggestion I have is to put a small bench in the showers to sit your stuff on. Currently there is 2 small hooks on the backdoor and that's not enough to hang a bag, towel and clothes without putting something in the wet floor.

Everything was great amenities were wonderful It would be great to have just a small fan in the cabin and update the mattresses in the cabins. Also would be nice to have a bathroom area closer to your cabins that don’t have any running water.

We had a wonderful Labor day weekend !!!! Plenty of things to do for the whole family. Swimming, horseback riding, movie in the Pavilion, an my granddaughters favorite...Dance party at the Pavilion. We will definitely be back next year.

The cabin was just what we needed. The only concern and not the staffs fault was the T.V. access was cut off and they where waiting for a technician to come . The staff where very friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay if in the area again.

The camp area was clean, very helpful staff, lots of activities at the KOA. The cabin was great it had everythingthe porch, BBQ and fire pit were wonderful extras! It was great to have coffee as soon as we wake up to enjoy on the quiet porch. The music in the evenings was wonderful, coffee was great. The pizza was not even eaten by our grandson but the convince store had a great variety. Loved it!

The first cabin we were placed in wasn’t ideal for having two kids who wanted to be near the “Fun Zone”. Staff, especially Lenny, went above and beyond to immediately get us a different cabin in the perfect location. We appreciated the flexibility which made for a wonderful, fun week!

Our stay was wonderful! We were camping with 3 other families and it was the perfect family meet up. We stayed in the camping cabin which was perfect. The kiddos loved all the activities, swimming, hikes, horse trail rides and more! Also loved the daily event scheduled in the fun zone!

Overall, the stay was great. Lots of amenities and things to do. Views were fantastic! The staff was really nice and helpful. The only complaint I had was that our cabin was infested with ants and spiders. We found three spiders in our shower alone. Between 6-8 that we found in a very small area. My kids, and frankly, all of us had a very hard time sleeping.

We have been staying at Palmer Gulch since the early 80s and this was the first time we were able to notice lack of attention to the camp ground. now we know it is the end of the season however the things we noticed we items yat could have been worked on during the season ( the picnic tables needed to refinished old rotten boards etc the swings on the cabins the same the rail around the cabins nee

Everything was fantastic the amenities are great and it’s wonderful to see that you improve and expand since our last stay many years ago. Some constructive advice….cabins are dirty. And putting in a little nicer mattress wouldn’t cost that much. Would make a world of difference.

I really enjoyed our stay at Palmer Gulch! It was a great central location, and we loved all the kid-friendly amenities and how well-maintained the pool and playgrounds were. My only cons were that the TVs advertised in the deluxe cabin didn’t work, which felt like part of what we paid for. The electricity in one bedroom was also out for half our stay, and the hair dryer didn’t work.

We stayed in a camping cabin. The doors wouldn’t open all all the way because the floors are warped. The screens are full of holes and patched with duct tape. The mattresses are ancient and horrible. This is too bad because the rest of the campground is fun. The people are nice. The bathrooms have heavy traffic and could be cleaned more often.

Cabins, showers, and bathrooms were very clean. We rode the horses and they were wonderful. Can’t beat being in such close proximity to Mount Rushmore. Kid areas where great and the campgrounds where very clean.

Stayed in Deluxe Cabin 203, noted many maint. issues needing work: bird nest above door (birds dive-bombed us the whole time); stove top burners didn't work; light under microwave didn't work; grease filters above oven were filthy; no rods to close window blinds; no entry mat to wipe feet; bathroom hot water took forever; AND everything at this KOA was TERRIBLY EXPENSIVE! Will not recommend!

This jam packed KOA has it all. 2 pools. Waterslide. Playgrounds. Restaurants on the property. Horseback riding. Rodeo. UTV rentals. Lots of activities for the kids. Bounce pillow. It's right down the road from Mount Rushmore. Bathrooms were cleaned regularly. Cell phone reception is pretty poor, but you can't blame KOA. WiFi is pretty good if you are near their hotspots. There was always KOA employees ripping around, which they should slow down a little bit. We did experience the bees as mentioned by other reviewers. Everyone had a great time and we enjoyed our stay.

Great first experience with KOA! The reservation process was easy, and changing our dates was very convenient. Communication with Dee Dee before arrival was excellent, and check-in was quick and easy. The campground was clean, especially the bathrooms, and all the guests were very respectful. The sites are a little close together, so I would probably avoid the busy summer season. Overall, we were very impressed and would definitely stay here again!
