With a large pavilion, meeting spaces, group catering options, and a wide variety of lodging and camping choices, your group will have everything needed to relax, reconnect, and explore.

Groups can choose from accommodations that fit every style. Pull-thru and back-in RV Sites with 30- or 50-amp service keep big rigs comfortable, while KOA Patio® Sites add extra space to gather outdoors. Deluxe Cabins offer full bathrooms, kitchens, and patios for added convenience, and Camping Cabins provide a rustic retreat close to campground amenities. Tent campers and unique lodging options—like the Executive Lodge, Mountain Cabins, and the Mount Rushmore Lodge —let everyone find their perfect way to stay.

Things to Do with Your Group
With endless recreation on-site and the Black Hills right outside your door, your group will never run out of things to do together:

  • On-Site Recreation – Spend the day at the swimming pools, ride the waterslide, play mini golf, or challenge each other to pickleball, basketball, volleyball, or gaga ball. Younger campers will love the jumping pillow, wagon rides, and playgrounds.
  • Palmer Gulch Activities – Join in crafts, evening movies, or themed weekends, or head to the stables for guided horseback rides through the Black Hills. Rentals for kids bikes in the fun zone, or ATVs, and UTVs for adults are also available.
  • Black Hills Adventures – Take a short drive to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, or Custer State Park for hiking, wildlife viewing, and unforgettable scenery.
  • Group Dining and Events – We have a fantastic staff who will work with you on every detail of your event. Gather at our pavilion for a meal, enjoy ice cream from the Turtle Town, or the staff can help make reservations for rooms at the Mount Rushmore Lodge, KOA cabins, executive lodges, or even provide support on how and where to book catering for your event.

Book Your KOA Group Camping Stay
Bring your group to Mount Rushmore KOA Resort at Palmer Gulch for a stay that combines the spirit of the Black Hills with the comfort of a full-service resort. Our team will help coordinate lodging, sites, and gathering spaces so you can focus on making memories. Once your dates are confirmed, we’ll create a reservation block under your group name and provide a full accommodations list.
  • Booking: Each group will be assigned a unique code. Group members may call our reservation staff to book from the block, or use the code to reserve online.
  • Release Date: A release date will be set based on your reservation date.
  • Deposits: A deposit equal to the first night’s rent for each accommodation is required before the release date, unless an alternate arrangement is specified.
  • Cancellations: Reservations without a deposit after the release date will be canceled without further notice.
  • Payment: Final payment is due upon arrival.
  • Rates: Rates do not include sales tax.
