The resort is nice. But it’s not allowed to use anything after you checked out. You need to pay extra to use it! Any other resorts i used allowed you to use their amenities after you checked out - that day, but not this one! Very disappointing! You have to pay extra to use it. Not like it at all, not professional

We had a trailer tire go flat during our 3 day stay. The staff helped us inflate the tire. When we found it had a nail in it, they called an RV tech for us. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Great location for visiting Mount Rushmore Memorial and Crazy Horse Memorial. KOA is massive and lots of kids everywhere. Very busy place!!! Lots of amenities for families. Site uses well water and we had lots of sediment in our water system.

Lots to do within the campground. Very good location being in the middle of the Black Hills near Mountain Rushmore. Great service and facilities.

The busiest, loudest campground. Kids running around everywhere and in the streets. There are no crosswalks, pathways or bike trails for them nor any safety measures. Kids will end up getting hit. Golf carts speeding up and down constantly, the noise continues until 11-12 every night. Wouid never go again.

Great campground! LOTS of activities for kids! Great all you can eat pancakes for $3.50. They had a water slide, which was great and the kids loved, but the water seemed a bit dirty. But overall, our family of 8 loved it and we will return!

Staff were terrific. Everything was clean/well maintained. Rv sites are level narrow but long. Really nice treed sites by rodeo arena. Trail horse ride was amazing. Neighbors septic dump is right at your front door/campsite area. Very busy during day but quiet at night. Has everything. Kids paradise. Very close to Mt R.

This campground hands down the best we've ever been at. Activities galore. The staff was fantastic and management spared no expense to make sure there was staff to accommodate guests. Very clean bathrooms and ground s. This place is fantastic. We can't say enough. Thanks for a great stay. Don't pass this campground by. The staff was helpful courteous and friendly. Truly a nice KOA. Beautiful property and great family vacation place. Bathrooms were clean and well kept. Wish the sites were wider as spaces were narrow. The lack of cable or easy cell signal or even ability to get tv antenna signal was less than satisfactory. The registration area was great and front desk personnel were very nice.

The water was turned off at least twice, and then the hot tubs were both unusable apparently as when they turned the water back on it blew the filtration system. I’m sure the brown water that was in the hot tubs before they shut the water off was the reason

Beautiful resort! We loved all the amenities. Stores and food close by and the horseback riding was nice to have on site. Great place for children. Lots for them to do. One disappointment was that our water was turned off a couple of times, due to discolored water. But thankfully we had our own filters. We would definitely return again.

Pretty noisy at night, the BBQ wasn’t clear so when we tried to BBQ our dinner the BBQ caught fire. Our dinner was ruined.

The staff were very nice and always helpful. The camp site across from us had 5 dogs left outside in a kennel barking. That was a lot of barking. The rodeo was fun and the amenities were great. The trail ride we paid for we did not go on because of our concern for the severe weather that was happening. We did not get a refund which was disappointing.

Water is very poor should be cleaner whey need to but in a better water tretement plant to remove the high mineral content. Dryers need to dry better

This was our second stay at Palmer Gulch KOA. Our patio site was spacious, and the location offered a multitude of activities for adults and kids. It's a short drive to see Custer State Park, The Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, the Presidential Wax Museum, Rush Mountain Adventure Park, and Tramway Adventure Park. There is no shortage of on-site or nearby shops & restaurants to explore.

The check-in process was great and staff was wonderful….gave a real resort feel, but besides that it was “meh” at best. So many 5th wheels were parked into the roadway (even with KOA staff help) which made it tough to get in our spot. Plus we were packed in like sardines. The big slide and hot tubs in the “fun zone” are FILTHY! Very disappointed and not worth the resort price. We won’t

Probably the best KOA i've stayed in up to date, my only issue is the lack of internet. i couldn't use my laptop at all for ten days, ugh but you have horse back riding, UTV fun, you had a rodeo!! You should have a separate hot tub for adults only ;) but the pool was fantastic!! The people at the front desk for cheerful, our horse guide an irishman was awesome! we'll be back :)

Your campground is amazing--literally the nicest campground that either my wife and I had stayed at. We have 4 kids between 12 and 4 yrs old. They loved the water slide, pool/hot-tub, mini-golf, and playgrounds. The bathrooms and showers were immaculate. We did a trip out of the Stables, which was so much fun and worth it. Can't say enough good things!

One night only here and we wished for longer! Beautiful resort but the pools need major upgrades; the liner tiles were orange looking and made the pools look not very clean. But the horses and other amenities were a plus and the location was just perfect; we hope to go back soon!

The prices are way too high! Camper spots are very very small! Not the cleanest campground I’ve ever been in! At this price, we would never stay there again. The price was just way too much for what we received. We weren’t even there we simply parked our camper there the price is outrageous!

Our family absolutely loved this KOA. Between the amenities and daily activities for kids/families thus was beyond what we expected. The playgrounds were great and 1 was even designed more for smaller kids which was a bonus for our 2 year old. The pools were refreshing and the hot tub was warm! The rodeo was an unexpected surprise. We loved that too. Definitely will be back

Disappointing compared to prior multiple stays. The grill was not cleaned from prior visitors. Greeted very rudely that has never happened before. Dog in camper next to us barked constantly really ruined our stay

Lots of activities. Should reevaluate where they put bigger rigs. Some of the spots for longer rigs are long enough but not easy to maneuver to get rigs into.

Its a huge campground, lots of staff. Clean given the amount of campers. A fair bit expensive..ie 10$ for 6 small pieces of pine firewood. But there are tons of ameneties.

We spent a week here in the summer, and had a really great experience. We loved the stable and we enjoyed the pool. The best part was that our 9-year-old, an only child, was able to go and play with other kids every day. He played chess, basketball, miniature golf, and Gaga ball, and had a wonderful time. We also appreciated the proximity to Jewel Cave and Mount Rushmore. I want to express my great appreciation for Jeff from Guest Services. One night some older kids showed up to play Gaga ball and my son got hurt and was scared of the big kids who were playing rough. Jeff showed up to help, tracked down the big kids (they actually ran away at first and he had to RUN after them to track them down!), counseled my son more than once to help him not be scared about talking to them, got the big kids to apologize and talked to their parents without being punitive or mean in any way, and overall just did a really great job. The staff here in general is great but Jeff super impressed my entire family.
