Everything was great, only issue was that our patio at the cabin had bad red ant activity. Tried to eat outside but they were crawling all over and scared the kids.

It was the best. If I could have one request, please improve your dog park. Everything else offered was WOW!!! we loved all the services offered. The campground was well cared for and the people who worked there very nice and helpful. The prices are a little steep but you get what you pay for they say.

Very disappointed with the food options. The fried chicken was cold in the middle, and other sandwiches were either over cooked or was not fresh. The camp was clean and close to everything, so if you want to eat out, eat in town.

Absolutely amazing experience at your KOA. From the initial man who greeted us as we pulled in to the woman who checked us in. The person we spoke to on the phone that helped move us to a different site. Each and every staff member we came in contact with was wonderful. The amenities were more than we could have imagined. Our experience was so great we didn’t want to leave. We will stay again.

This resort is fantastic. Our stay here was perfect. The staff was outstanding, location couldn’t be more convenient, facilities were top notch. We will definitely be returning. The Palmer Gulch KOA can serve as a basecamp or as its own destination. Especially for kids.

Highly recommended! The grounds, bathroom and laundry were spotless. Our site was perfectly level and came with lush grass and a picnic table & fire pit. LOTS of activities - pools, UTV rentals, horseback riding. Beautiful enourmous resort.

The camp area was clean, very helpful staff, lots of activities at the KOA. The cabin was great it had everythingthe porch, BBQ and fire pit were wonderful extras! It was great to have coffee as soon as we wake up to enjoy on the quiet porch. The music in the evenings was wonderful, coffee was great. The pizza was not even eaten by our grandson but the convince store had a great variety. Loved it!

The bathrooms are poor and in need of renovation and better cleaning. No shower benches, broken tiles, mold, one toilet had no seat. Expect better when paying KOA prices.

We were very pleased with our campsite, the location near restrooms and showers and the pool. My husband left his e-book in the restroom when we left and it was mailed back to us. Thank you so much for that and the people that found it we appreciate you. We also want to say kiddos to the car rental people. We had a lovely day and he could not have been nicer giving us a map telling us where to go.

Excellent stay with a lot of things to do at the camp and nearby. Very professional staff. We’ll bring back our grand kids in the future for sure. My only tip is food on site was very basic. Load nachos in The Peak were not loaded and very basic as was food as other locations. We preferred meals in town but would certainly stay here again

Lovely place, but the speed bumps should be reduced by 80%; we had more crashing in the rv crossing those bumps at dead slow than we had on 2 trips on the Alcan! Also, placing some Exit signs around the roads would have helped us more easily find our way out. The pancakes were great!

Fantastic amenities and facilities. We really enjoyed our site in the back (quiet) section. For the size of the park and quality of all the other amenities the dog park was disappointing. We ate at the taphouse and Grapes & Grinds and enjoyed both, as well as the pancake breakfast.

The reason for our stay was to spend funds raised for camping with a girl scout troop. We absolutely had the time of our lives! All staff we encountered was polite and accommodating. We could not believe all there was to do at the campground - and no one wanted to leave at the end of the stay. It so far exceeded our expectations. We are local, but I personally will be making a point to return.

Amazing property! We were there for two weeks. Really enjoyed the Chuck wagon dinner and our horseback ride with Claire. Only issue was since we had no cell service we relied on internet and the wifi kept dropping.

Perfect location if you’re planning to visit Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, Wind Cave National Park, to name a few. This KOA has so much to offer including swimming pool, water slide, mini golf, trail rides, on site restaurants, ice cream, coffee shops, camp store, and much more - truly a campground resort. The grounds and multiple bath houses were clean. Great stay!

Next time I’ll request sites in the back, more space not as cramped as the front of the park. Park is very nice with lots of things to do.

The campground and staff were great. It was clean and well maintained. The reason for the 8 and 4 star is due to the peak. I would be embarrased to operate that bad of food at a camp that is so good in everything else. My wife and I both left our dinner without eating it and went to get ice cream.

While a very nice camp location. We would definitely pick another site. Despite a deluxe site, the staff traffic to the facility building was very bothersome late into the night and early in the morning. The constant dust ups and road noise took away from the beautiful surroundings. Bathrooms and showers need attention.

We had a fabulous time viewingMt. Rushmore during the day and evening. My request would be for you to put one ways and how to exit with your camper. We figured it out but had a hard time finding our camper after dark with no signage. Everyone was very friendly but navigating the campground is poor! Thank you for our say!

The first cabin we were placed in wasn’t ideal for having two kids who wanted to be near the “Fun Zone”. Staff, especially Lenny, went above and beyond to immediately get us a different cabin in the perfect location. We appreciated the flexibility which made for a wonderful, fun week!

Our stay was wonderful! We were camping with 3 other families and it was the perfect family meet up. We stayed in the camping cabin which was perfect. The kiddos loved all the activities, swimming, hikes, horse trail rides and more! Also loved the daily event scheduled in the fun zone!

We enjoyed our stay except for the side by side that should have had stock exhaust as it was too loud and very irritating. They came into the campground one night at 10:11 and woke us up. If you want to call my husband he can explain it to you. Otherwise our stay was awesome!

Overall, the stay was great. Lots of amenities and things to do. Views were fantastic! The staff was really nice and helpful. The only complaint I had was that our cabin was infested with ants and spiders. We found three spiders in our shower alone. Between 6-8 that we found in a very small area. My kids, and frankly, all of us had a very hard time sleeping.

This jam packed KOA has it all. 2 pools. Waterslide. Playgrounds. Restaurants on the property. Horseback riding. Rodeo. UTV rentals. Lots of activities for the kids. Bounce pillow. It's right down the road from Mount Rushmore. Bathrooms were cleaned regularly. Cell phone reception is pretty poor, but you can't blame KOA. WiFi is pretty good if you are near their hotspots. There was always KOA employees ripping around, which they should slow down a little bit. We did experience the bees as mentioned by other reviewers. Everyone had a great time and we enjoyed our stay.

Great first experience with KOA! The reservation process was easy, and changing our dates was very convenient. Communication with Dee Dee before arrival was excellent, and check-in was quick and easy. The campground was clean, especially the bathrooms, and all the guests were very respectful. The sites are a little close together, so I would probably avoid the busy summer season. Overall, we were very impressed and would definitely stay here again!
