Everything was great amenities were wonderful It would be great to have just a small fan in the cabin and update the mattresses in the cabins. Also would be nice to have a bathroom area closer to your cabins that don’t have any running water.

I truly loved the Mount Rushmore KOA but never realized after September 7th everything basically shuts down which is disappointing, the coffee shop, one of the pools and laundry area. I thought I could do laundry and lay by the pool but the pool near the laundry was shut down. I believe you should wait to close everything after labor day, not on labor day.The employees were very kind and helped

We were put in #386, at the upper end of the campground. Although we had premium amenities, the view was lacking in that we faced the maintenance buildings. Plus, it got very dusty from constant traffic of KOA vehicles going to and from those buildings. I can see why families stay here with all the things for kids to do, but not so great for couples liking quiet. But everyone was very friendly.

We loved the entire thing! You won’t be sorry, make the reservation!! Even though the place was packed it never felt crowded. Pancakes, friendly people, a great central location for the places and drives. Thanks

Fantastic stay! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great amenities and lots to do. Only one negative…kids were going way faster than the speed limit on their E bikes. Very dangerous.

Excellent visit. Close to many attractions and all needed amenities are present on site and it has a places for children to have fun.

Best koa that i have stayed at. Spots were clean the bathrooms were nice. Lots of activities for the kids. I do wish there was a hot tub at the lower pool for the evenings. Great job by the staff and crew

Just wanted to say Bob, who is one of the host that leads in the RVs to their camp spa was awesome. Everybody actually was very very good. Bob stood out to me because it was very kind to us the whole time checking on us and making sure everything‘s fine horseback riding was fantastic and yes, I will recommend anybody to go there and we loved it there. it was a wonderful experience for the Espino

This is our 3rd time staying at Palmer Gulch and we love it. Have always had a great experience however, there was 1 staff member that was extremely upset that my kids (8 &10) were riding their dirt bikes through camp to get to the trails. After reading the rules it is okay as long as they aren't speeding through camp. I hope someone explains this to him so he doesn't block off the road again.

Two adults in our 50’s. No kids with us. We had not stayed at such a crowded campsite before and was not able to put patio down on toy hauler. That was my fault for not adding patio length to reservation. Very fun place for families. All staff the was amazing and always ready to help. Well maintained and clean property. Love the location near plenty of outdoor activities. Thank you.

There’s plenty of activities for the children to do. It’s close but to the scenic activities that we do. The bathrooms could have been maintained better for the amount of people that were there. Overall its nice place to stay at

We absolutely loved our Labor Day weekend stay at Palmer Gulch! From the easy registration process to our campsite and all of the amazing amenities, everything was wonderful. Being able to rent a car right on-site was such a huge bonus and made getting around so convenient. We enjoyed playing basketball, swimming, going down the water slides, and of course checking out the gift shop.

We had a wonderful Labor day weekend !!!! Plenty of things to do for the whole family. Swimming, horseback riding, movie in the Pavilion, an my granddaughters favorite...Dance party at the Pavilion. We will definitely be back next year.

Everything was top notch with 2 exceptions: 1) The showers in Comfort Station #3 were (probably) clean, but they didn't have a stool outside and needed updating, as they looked black and dingy. Too bad, as we had planned to use them, but didn't. 2) The all you can eat pancakes and bacon were good. The scrambled eggs were very poor. Compressed and flavorless. We actually couldn't finish them.

Second time, well run facility and enjoyed our stay. The after traveling it is nice having someone waiting to welcome us and take us to the site. Shout out to Bob who answered all my questions and was wonderful to visit with during our stay. Thanks again! The only thing we missed was the shuttle to Rushmore which allows us to watch the night show without having to drive back in the dark.

Stayed for 6 days and wouldn't stay anywhere else. the Place is clean and the staff is great! This was our 2nd year to stay with Mount Rushmore, and we will be back again!

No shade for camper. Children riding motorized bikes were dangerous, they didn't look to check traffic, most without adult supervision. This campground is focused on young families with children not retired people who just want to relax.

The front desk was very accommodating with our site. We had been to the Kia numerous times and with younger kids it’s nice to be close to the pool but our kid is getting older and we wanted to be in the trees. We were placed in 407, that is a beautiful row and area. We got to use our hammocks and had more space. Thankful for the weekend with our 16 year old!

We had a very enjoyable stay. The campsite and facilities were outstanding. We used the restaurant and the younger family went horseback riding. The campground is centrally located to many other attractions, and we used many of them. This is our second stay at your beautiful campgrounds and may not be the last. The only problem is the Internet service; it could be much better.

Amazing campsite! The close proximity was perfect! The stables was an added bonus!! We loved your pools & playgrounds and fun things for our child. Clean showers and laundry facilities was a huge bonus!

We are local to the Black Hills but make it a point to stay a couple times every summer. My kids LOVE this campground. There’s always something to do.

The cabin was just what we needed. The only concern and not the staffs fault was the T.V. access was cut off and they where waiting for a technician to come . The staff where very friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay if in the area again.

By far the best KOA we’ve seen. Well managed, well kept and thoroughly modern. Lots to do locally and on site. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to camp near Mt. Rushmore.

This KOA is truly one of the finest I have stayed at. Lots of things to do on the grounds, centrally located by Mount Rushmore, Custer, Keystone, Wind Cave, among other sights. I would recommend this Rv campground to anyone.

This jam packed KOA has it all. 2 pools. Waterslide. Playgrounds. Restaurants on the property. Horseback riding. Rodeo. UTV rentals. Lots of activities for the kids. Bounce pillow. It's right down the road from Mount Rushmore. Bathrooms were cleaned regularly. Cell phone reception is pretty poor, but you can't blame KOA. WiFi is pretty good if you are near their hotspots. There was always KOA employees ripping around, which they should slow down a little bit. We did experience the bees as mentioned by other reviewers. Everyone had a great time and we enjoyed our stay.

Great first experience with KOA! The reservation process was easy, and changing our dates was very convenient. Communication with Dee Dee before arrival was excellent, and check-in was quick and easy. The campground was clean, especially the bathrooms, and all the guests were very respectful. The sites are a little close together, so I would probably avoid the busy summer season. Overall, we were very impressed and would definitely stay here again!
