We have been here several times, upon our arrival for a week or campsite was not mowed and weeds all around the fire pit area was very disappointing. We went up to ask about getting this fixed and Jennifer, I believe the manager, immediately told us that if we didn't like it we could leave. So so very rude. Not willing to find a resolution, but just that we could leave.

My only complaint is the confusion at the front desk. When we arrived we had booked a Felix cabin and a smaller cabin to make sure we had enough space. When we found out the smaller cabin was by the pool we wanted to switch it which wasn’t an option and were told that wasn’t an option and neither was a refund for remaining nights. Next day we were told we could’ve done that.

I've been camping for over 30 years and the spot I had at Mount Rushmore has to be the worst camping spot ever. It was difficult to get out of the spot. Only good thing was that there was no camper across from me, so I actually was able to maneuver my 43 ft. motorhome out of that spot. I will never recommend that KOA campsite to anyone. Very disappointing.

Too full camera on top of eachother and too many dogs. One girl had 5 dogs. Come on 5. Then parking was horrible. Vehicles everywhere. Also the cheaper pads need gravel and all the roads should be paved. All in all good experience. We had hores too. That was good too.

3 night stay in a Kamping Kabin. We loved that it was so close to all we wanted to do in the area.

So close to Mt. Rushmore which is a must do both day & night. Reserved a pull thru site for a 44ft 5th wheel trailer, the site was about 4 feet too short, the trailer stuck out into the roadway. Within about 45 minutes they assigned another site, trailer fit, parking the truck was a tight fit. Calling the check-in staff when reserving is advised. Lots to do here! Felt like a resort & best KOA yet!

THE most fabulous KOA we have been too. So much to see and do. The first time was 1988 when our children were small. Then again 1995 a graduation trip for our oldest son. Now 2025, we are retired and decided to travel here again. We love the improvements and looking forward to coming back again.

We have stayed here now 3rd time! The location is amazing but the site was very unlevel! First time at a KOA without a perfect level site! Your facility is amazing and great playgrounds and pools!

Beautiful area, be ready to pay premium on everything. Second time staying, people drive way to fast and kids are everywhere.

Everything was beautiful except the mud hole at each site where apparently a patio was removed and nothing was done with the bare dirt. Some type of rock or other cover needs to be put on these areas.

It is a nice campground, but the site I was assigned is definitely not made for a 40’ fifth wheel or large motorhome. I had to back out up the hill to even make it out. If you didn’t have four wheel drive, you would t make it.

This was our worst stay at a KOA. When we got to the site the picnic table was behind the cabin and the fire pit was on a semi steep hill. We asked if we could move to another cabin after sharing our concerns but they said we should have used the feature to pick your site for an up charge of $20. We get inside and the mattress was is duct taped but clean. Would not stay again. Don’t stay in K52.

Our bed broke due to shoddy construction, as stated by the very nice maintenance person who came to fix it. Pics on website do not represent the beds that were in the cabins, the upper bunks are unsafe due to railings being too high from bed and missing foot railings. Bathrooms need fans & more soap dispensers, mens had 2, womens had 1. Laundry price doesn't match posted signs. I have so much more

This is the 4th time we have stayed at the Mt. Rushmore KOA and we have always enjoyed our stay there! The miniature golf clubs were very few in number and several of the ones that were there were broken. We also would strongly prefer to choose our camping site prior to arrival--even though we made our reservation months ago, we just got assigned a site that was left open when we arrived.

My kids LOVED the fun zone. Our only suggestion- the metal doors on the pool bathrooms at the Fun Zone were burning hot and burnt my kid's hand.

The site was very good with a patio, grill, and furniture. There a lack of communication regarding the hay ride and the fact there was a fee to ride. This was not disclosed at check in or when a fella traveler stopped in the office to check on the hay ride.

Beautiful place PLENTY of things to do. Reason I gave a nine and a four was because we had a couple issues. Noisy/rude guests walking through our site as we were sitting outside we text message about it but it was never addressed. We had read that dogs were not allowed on the golf cart so we didn't rent one but we saw multiple people with golf carts with dogs. Other than that place was amazing.

This resort has it all. Great for families and for those without kids. Can’t beat the location and convenience to local attractions, shopping and outdoor activities. The camp is very well run and maintained.

Front desk staff was very good. People escorting to your site were rude. They charge $20 if you arrive before 1pm. We arrived at 12:15 cost extra 20 dollars. I was going to sign up for the program decided to give my business to mom an pop instead lots of choice. Think they are better anyway!!!

Check-in was busy with long RV & check in lines, but staff stayed helpful & patient. The escort to our site was great. We had a large & spacious lot near the pools, but not too loud. We enjoyed a week of amenities: heated & non-heated pools, a waterslide, & a kids’ park (best for older kids). Laundry onsite=handy, & the pizza place & tap room were perfect for meals and relaxing. Already Rebooked

This campground is amazing-clean facilities, professional staff, a restaurant, bar, coffee/wine shop, snack bar, stores, horses, UTV rentals…there was too much awesomeness to list everything.

Lots of activities for kids. , Restaurant, ice cream, coffee shop or adults. As many activities as I’ve seen in any KOA. The only downside was our site was extremely small and it appeared all sites were.

Our grandkids enjoyed all the amenities and we enjoyed their smiley faces. I enjoyed the availability of food and ice cream. I was a little dissapointed in the laundry facilities. It was the worst maintained of all the KOAs we stayed at for this 4 week trip.

Day 2 of 3 here. This place is great! The kids amenities are great, the lots are good, location is excellent! Enjoy the Black Hills from here!

A great family stay! We loved our cabin - clean, comfortable, and perfect with kids. So many activities, food options, and amenities that we spent a lot of time enjoying the resort. Also a great location to access so many other attractions in the area.
