The campground is very nice, but the sites themselves are not so much. Our site was very unlevel and difficult to maneuver into because of the trees, narrow road and tight spaces. For the money I expected much better site prep. 1 star for the site, 5 stars for the activities for the kids.

We were very pleased with Patrick, a maintenance personnel. Our site had to have dirt dug out to get our 5th wheel hooked up to our truck. He was professional and patient & knew his job.

Appears to be in need of additional facilities - always a line for bathroom/shower. Shower has nowhere to sit - facilitating dressing, not falling, etc. Power at times dipped below 105v activating safety systems in rig. Better overall amenities than most places we have seen. Check-in understaffed and inefficient. If some of above were attended to, value would be increased.

We have been staying at Mount Rushmore KOA since our children were babies and now some are grown up! So much to do for all ages! And always wonderful staff! See you next year! The Cote family

Beautiful campground in a great location. There are lots of things to do in the area and for the kids to do in the campground. Wonderful customer service. The only negatives were the quality of food. The food options were great, but the taste was lacking. The activities also didn't seem very well put together. It would be nice to have an area that is more geared toward adults in the campground.

We love Palmer gulch. We want to make it our yearly trip. There are lots of things to do. It’s pretty and the staff is nice.

Bathrooms were dirty, would love stools in the bathrooms for young kids. Cabin was overpriced, screens on windows were falling off, door so warped it hardly locked. Activities were fun, staff was friendly.

Now this, friends, was a great place to stay. Tons of things for kids and adults to do. It was great seeing kids riding bikes and scooters, swimming, and running, playing putt putt golf with their dads, and playing basketball and volleyball! No electronic devices! Of course there were a couple of adults on phones, but it was great seeing kids with no pads! And there is a riding!!!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Camped with 3 grandkids and there was plenty of things for them to do. Cell phone service and internet service is very poor. Very close to Mount Rushmore. Beautiful scenery.

We had a great time staying in a camping cabin. The KOA resort had so many fun activities for our kids to enjoy, and it is conveniently located to many sites we wanted to see. Thanks for a great little getaway!

not placed with our group, the pick my site fee was paid, in a site that was too small for our rig, the office was very difficult to work with- after much argument- they agreed to move us with an extra cost, but not until the next day, unwilling to work with us when mom ended up hospitalized and needed to cancel a reservation and move parents camper to rapid city for my dad. Poor customer service

This is our 3rd time in 5 yrs. Although you added a new play area* we found the play zone to be dirty and unkept- weeds putt putt clubs broken. Pools -both needed scrubbing . Upper pool was nice and clean . Pickleball was a good addition! Rv sights: no change/ improvements. The Stable was awesome! Employees � *new slides are too steep and not safe/ all 3 grandkids got hurt going down.

The personal were absolutely outstanding. So friendly and helpful! The campground was very nice. My tent site was great. It was to bad I had a medical problem while I was there. I hope to return in the future!

This place is huge! It is truly a resort tucked away in the Black Hills. Multiple pools, hot tubs, bike rentals, movie nights, horseback riding, dining and a coffee shop. Bathrooms were always clean and well maintained. There are plenty of things for the kids to do each day.

Amazing campground with tons of amenities. Sites are very crowded. It must be a spectacular place for families with children. It's busier than a 3 Ring Circus with children's activities everywhere. I personally wish there was a quieter section with more spacious sites. We saw about 3 sites off the beaten path. We reserved best available site, 7 mos in advance & it's not great.

Most of the staff were horrible and very rude and not helpful at all. Horrible service and horrible staff. Expect a lot more for the 8 nights we were there and all the money we invested into this property.

Wow, wow, and wow. Perfect from beginning to end. Our family needs a dog park, playground, and a pool is always appreciated. But this camping resort had so much more!! Golf, water slide, horseback riding, multiple playgrounds, rental carts and bikes, and more.Not to mention, easy access to Moumt Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Thank you!!!

We stayed in a two room camping cabin. We take our grandchildren every year. We enjoy coming because there is always something for them to do There were some maintenance issues. We reported these issues when we checked out. I wish the mattresses where thicker for better sleeping.

Overall a good place. Lots of people crammed in though. Our campsite was on top of our neighbors.The lady that checked us in was so rushed that didn’t tell us anything I had to read through the booklet to figure anything out. At the end/checkout we needed some extra help and the staff went above to try and help us out as we were in a crunch. We would go back but this is a very busy and full koa.

Perhaps one of the best KOA we have stayed. The campground is truly unique with multiple events and activities for adults and kid a true family oriented campground. Will recommend for both tents and RV campers and those who use cabins…

Great campground in a beautiful area. So much to do in surrounding area and at the campground. All staff happy and friendly. A musician was performing one night we were there and we really enjoyed it. Honestly, one of the nicest campgrounds we have ever stayed at.

We Love this place. Plenty of things to do, plenty of food options and the staff is amazing!!!! The views are beautiful, our site was wooded and quiet. We had a great time. We used the available rental car service. It is well worth the money. Make sure to get your reservation early, there aren't many cars available and they go fast. Finally, go to the chuck wagon dinner, it's totally worth it.

No WiFi, no cell service. Advertise WiFi and you have no WiFi. Spots are too close and I had to back out of my pull through site. The grounds were a complete zoo. Call the KOA in Waterloo Iowa, they know how to run a business.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at this KOA..the grounds were extremely clean, everyone was so friendly and very willing to help if you needed anything. The bathrooms were very clean...lots of activities for kids...the actual campsite was great (fire pit, water & power hook-up were all in working order)..the only "negative" I would say would be that the Mini Golf course needs some extreme love!

We were disappointed in the showers with just one hook to hang clothes! Please install a bench to put items on and for safety to sit (if needed) when changing clothes. Thank you.

A great family stay! We loved our cabin - clean, comfortable, and perfect with kids. So many activities, food options, and amenities that we spent a lot of time enjoying the resort. Also a great location to access so many other attractions in the area.
