All the Mt Pleasant/Charleston KOA staff were so friendly & helpful! They made our first camping experience worry free and absolutely enjoyable. Our campsite was spectacular with a paved patio, fire pit, gas grill, ample seating, table, and our own swing overlooking the lake! Absolute perfection!

Lovely site, well maintained. Quite quiet despite its proximity to the major highway. All of the "Yellow Shirts" were very friendly. The only reason I could not give a 5 Star rating is because of the extremely annoying lawn maintenance guys who insisted using using leaf blowers on our occupied site. Why??? Drove our dogs crazy, took a while to calm them down. Plus disturbed our peaceful morning.

What a great KOA. Close enough to many adminities around Mount Pleasent, but tucked away and secluded. It sits on a large lake and even has walking trails back in the wilderness. The sites are large and have numerous mature trees around. Even though we only stayed for two nights, we received text messages everyday to let us know what activities were going on. I will definitely comeback.

We stayed at your campground in an RV trailer over Thanksgiving. Every single staff member was courteous and helpful. You even cooked a Thanksgiving meal for all campers in the park!! All trash was quickly picked up and wood was delivered almost instantly. The sunset by your pond was beautiful. Bathrooms were extremely clean. We WILL visit again. Thank you for a marvelous stay.

Always a good campground - we visit here often. Sites are well prepared and clean, staff is friendly and helpful. My only criticisms are of a few other guests - speeding, leaving freshly painted restrooms in poor condition, and noisy power tools during quiet hours. Don't get me wrong, most fellow campers are a pleasure but a few need enforcement of the rules.

Our stay was short and sweet! Wanted to take a weekend trip to Charleston, SC and this was definitely the place to stay! From the moment we arrived, which was late/after hours, there was a worker that saw us pull in and let us know about the area and let us follow him to the campsite. We enjoyed the trail walk around the lake & along the stream. We requested to be close to bathrooms and it was

Overall, this is a beautiful park. The grounds are very well kept, the personnel are great, and the amenities are very nice. Our stay would have been exceptional except for the fact that we could not level our coach on site 65 in the upscale section. It was apparently an issue with several coaches there as I saw tires off the ground a couple of times.

This is one of the nicest places that I've ever stayed. The entire staff from check-in to move (yes I had to move because I didn't do a very good job making reservations) have been incredible. They keep you up to speed on every activity and welcome you with open arms. I cant make a better recommendation than to stay here if your travels bring you near. God bless.

Just a heads up, you have a pack of coyote that run the walking trail. We stayed in the spot next to the trail and were very happy we had the fire going when they came out of the woods. We had no worries but a small dog and/or small child would not have faired so well.

Great campground, well organized with lots of amenities and activities. Easy entrance to navigate in and out of. Close to shopping centers. Campground maintenance is superb. Great for kids and pets!

The only thing that up set me was that you only recognize active military for a discount on your stay at the campground. I’m a veteran, I served and that doesn’t make me any different .

Probably one of the best KOA I’ve stayed. Lots are spaced and they always have activities going on. Super super nice personal working there. Takes me back to good ole Southern hospitality and true honest people. Enjoy the stay. �

We were assigned site number 40 and upon arrival we were unpleasantly surprised by many piles of dog poop on our site! Being camper workers ourselves this site should have been inspected before our arrival. We also are pet lovers and have had many but never left a site like this!! We were very disappointed because our friends recommended this campground to us.

Very sorry for all of the goose (not dog) poop. We try harrassing them to leave (which according to DNR is the only thing we can do), but they just won't go!

We had an excellent stay at this KOA - they were super friendly, the campground is very well maintained and we had a great pull through site! There is so much to do in the Charleston area, we'll definitely be back again!

People were kind and helpful Nobody enforced pet poop regulations and it was hard to dodge it all, not to mention others allowing their pets to deficate on our lot right in front of us! Brought back 2 sick pups

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Dog poop stations are all around the property and people need to be responsible pet owners and pick up after their animals. If staff sees this happen, the issue is addressed then and there. The other is goose poop, big birds, big poop. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about them.

Great location in the Cahrelston area, 15 min from downtown. Long RV spots plenty for large campers and tow vehicles, or big class A RVs and runabout cars. Large catch and release fishing lake, and long nature trail that offers cool views as it winds through part of a swamp. Best to get a site with a cenemt pad, otherwise your sitting in sand and tracking it in your RV. Friendly staff and trash service. -5G is a bit slow -Did not use campsite WiFi -Starlink has good coverage and excellent speed.
