We are just off of 17N if you are coming from the Charleston Area look for the KOA Sign and Aldi's grocery store and turn right. If you are coming from the Myrtle Beach area - in order to turn into the campground you will have to cross Hwy 17 by turning left. For some campers it maybe easier to go down to the traffic light past Walmart, take a left at the light, then turn left after you pass by Walmart. Follow the road all the way to the stop sign and turn right. Sometimes the trees are a bit lower in this area (Mount Pleasant is in charge of cutting these trees) so if your rig is tall it might cause you some issues.

Beautiful Atlantic beaches!! The Isle of Palms beach is only 7 miles away, and has plenty of parking, either all day or metered parking, so you can enjoy as long as you want. The Isle of Palms also offers free public restrooms and free showers. Enjoy lunch overlooking the beach at one of the many restaurants, or cool off at one of several ice cream parlors. The Isle of Palms also has an exciting night life, with bars and restaurants right along the beach.
Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum celebrates the greatest milestones of our nation's military history aboard the USS YORKTOWN. Honor our bravest heroes, and hear first hand stories from veterans of four wars who fought for our freedom. While at Patriots Point make sure to visit The Medal of Honor Museum aboard the USS YORKTOWN, the Cold War Submarine Memorial, USS YORKTOWN CV-10, submarine USS CLAMAGORE SS-343, a flight simulator, and 26 historic aircraft: one of the largest collections in the United States. Where the Civil War Began-Fort Sumter is situated on an island in Charleston Harbor, only accessible by boat. Imagine this...South Carolina had seceded from the Union, yet Union forces still occupied Fort Sumter at the entrance of Charleston Harbor. The South demanded that Fort Sumter be vacated. The North refused. Finally, on April 12, 1861, South Carolina Confederate troops from nearby Fort Johnson fired on the fort-the start of a two day bombardment that resulted in the surrender of Fort Sumter by Union troops. With the North's withdrawal, the South held the fort until it was finally evacuated on February 17, 1865. During that time, the fort experienced one of the longest sieges in modern warfare. For almost two years, 46,000 shells, estimated at more than 7 million pounds of metal, were fired at Fort Sumter. For these reasons and more, Fort Sumter remains one of the most significant historic monuments in the United states. The Boone Hall Plantation is America's most photographed plantation. Stroll through the world famous avenue of oaks, planted in 1743. Explore the Gullah culture through one of a kind live presentations. Visit the Black History in America exhibit on display in 8 original slave cabins. Tour the plantation home and take a guided coach tour across the entire plantation. Enjoy the setting in which many TV shows and movies have been filmed, such as Army Wives, Gone With the Wind, The Notebook, and North & South, and many more. Middleton Place is a carefully preserved 18th-century plantation, which houses America's oldest landscaped gardens, House Museum and Plantation Stableyards. Experience African American focus tours, carriage tours, kayak tours and horseback riding. Enjoy Low Country fare for lunch and dinner in the Middleton Place Restaurant, or relax in nature and understand elegance at The Inn at Middleton Place. Located approximately 30 miles from the campground.
Take a day and visit Patriots Point and the Yorktown Aircraft Carrier. You can also visit the Vietnam Memorial while there.
The beautiful Isle of Palms Beach is a mere 6 miles south of the campground. Hit one of the many restaurants for a beautiful ocean view as you enjoy your food and drink.The City wants to remind residents and visitors about important regulations intended to protect our beautiful beach and promote a healthy environment for all to enjoy.
Just a short 10 mile drive to downtown Charleston where you can enjoy shopping, restaurants and history.
The campground is conveniently located to numerous fantastic restaurants and shopping in the area. Explore the historic market in downtown Charleston, stop at a delicious restaurant and try all that the Low Country has to offer. Looking for great seafood? Head to Shem Creek, you can't go wrong. There are many beautiful plantations in the area. Plan a day visting one of the historic grounds of the Magnolia, Middleton, Drayton Hall,or Boone Hall Plantations - to name a few.
