Situated on the grounds of a real antebellum plantation, there's no mistaking you're in Carolina Lowcountry when you camp at this KOA. You'll find beautiful live oaks with Spanish moss throughout the campground and along the avenue to Oakland Plantation. Enjoy a complimentary wagon ride to Oakland Plantation, which boasts the oldest known house in Mount Pleasant. Take a walk along the campground's 1.5-mile nature trail; rent a bike or boat; play disc golf, horseshoes or cornhole; and fish the private 30-acre lake. Explore historic Charleston and all it has to offer. Visit Fort Sumter National Monument as well as the many spectacular plantations in the area. It is a short drive to Patriots Point, home of the USS Yorktown, where you can tour the Medal of Honor Museum and the Vietnam Experience Exhibit. Don't have an RV? Charleston Fun Park

Don't miss this great attraction, located right next to the KOA!  Charleston Fun Park has something for everyone! Go-Karts, 2 miniature golf courses, an amazing arcade with more than 50 games, jump-land, outdoor playground, gemstone mining, and climbing wall. The Galley serves a delicious lunch and dinner menu featuring Homemade Pizza. Parents, you can relax at the outdoor Tiki Bar with a beer or a glass of wine while the kids have their run of the park.

Boone Hall Plantation

The Boone Hall Plantation is America's most photographed plantation. Stroll through the world famous avenue of oaks, planted in 1743. Explore the Gullah culture through one of a kind live presentations. Visit the Black History in America exhibit on display in 8 original slave cabins. Tour the plantation home and take a guided coach tour across the entire plantation. Enjoy the setting in which many TV shows and movies have been filmed, such as Army Wives, Gone With the Wind, The Notebook, and North & South, and many more. Public Beaches

Beautiful Atlantic beaches!! The Isle of Palms beach is only 7 miles away, and has plenty of parking, either all day or metered parking, so you can enjoy as long as you want. The Isle of Palms also offers free public restrooms and free showers. Enjoy lunch overlooking the beach at one of the many restaurants, or cool off at one of several ice cream parlors. The Isle of Palms also has an exciting night life, with bars and restaurants right along the beach.
