It was a big event weekend in the Charleston area, with the bridge run and multiple spring events. I always take the family for 1 or 2 camping trips a year to bond and get away. KOA Mt P never disapoints. Always clean, helpfull staff, convenient to the events but yet secluded enough to feel the wilderness. Thank you staff and owners! I look forward to next year;)

Great location, great amenities, great service, very clean, beautiful scenery. Very disappointed no water near tent campsites to wash dishes or drink and no trash cans. Makes it less enjoyable.

Very clean and so much to just at the campground and right next door as well! 10/10 would recommend!

No problems. The parking in the tent area was a little tough to figure out, but we were the only folks tent camping so it worked out.

Very expensive for a tent site without power. A regular hotel room would have been cheaper. I was visiting some RV camping friends, and my tent would have easily fit on their site without problems. My friends said that other RV sites allowed tents that fit within the RV site boundary.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Not true - tents are not allowed on sites with rv's or cabins, tents must be on a tent site. There is only one camping unit allowed per site. We would have been happy to google hotels in Mount Pleasant for you.

I had 10 Boy Scouts and 3 adult leaders stay one night on 9/15/2023. From registration, check in, to escorting my group to our campsites staff is very friendly and accommodating. I want to thank the activities director, she saw that I had a large group of teenage boys and went out of her way to take them to the rec room and got out several games that teenage boys would enjoy. THANK YOU!!!

We always like staying there. Everyone is nice and helpful. If I could change one thing it would be nice to have some where to plug in an extension cord at the tent sites.

We had the most wonderful stay here, we stayed in site 71 which is an end unit with a lake view. It is improved with a patio, wonderful seating including glider chairs and a swing right on the water. They gave us a complimentary bundle of firewood with this site. It's very quiet here and is dark with not a lot of light pollution coming in through the shades. The pool was open but it was cool so we didn't use it. the walking path along the lake was pleasant and we saw lots of turtles and water birds. It is a gated park and felt very safe. We previously stayed at a different KOA on the other side of town and we're so glad we found this place. There is a fantastic dog park with two separate areas, one has access to the water, the fencing actually extends into the water for safe playing.

We really liked this KOA. Great location to check out Patriot Point, and they have a lot of things to do. They have a great trail to walk your BFF on and a beautiful lake. I wish the dog park had 2 separate doors to it so you don't have to let your dog in with other dogs. Many good things to do at this park! Enjoy!!
