Bathrooms were not clean and most stalls out of toilet paper. I saw a gentleman carrying his own toilet paper to the bathroom. Garage cans in pool area could be dumped at least 2 times a day. They are overflowing by 4 pm. Lawn needs trimming and mowing. Flower pots sat empty. Staff was kind.

Grounds are not kept up like they have been in the past. We have been coming to Hayward koa for 12 years. Pool was extremely dirty, toilets were plugged even 6 hrs after I told a employee it was plugged. Word has definitely gotten out because the campground which is normally full to capacity was empty.

We enjoyed our stay the staff was friendly. The cleaning in the bathroom, showers and pool could use a little work.

This KOA was sub standard not worth $$. Camper spacing was WAY too crowded and close. Our fire ring was two feet from the car parked next to our site. Grounds were completely dirt with very little grass to be found. Water slide was a big reason we booked the site only to find out it was condemned and set to be torn down. Strong sewage smell was quite repulsive. Definitely not worth the price.

This was our 3rd stay and it was overall great. We were a little disappointed in the “water games” on Saturday, nothing was set up for them for almost an hour after the designated start time, and then it wasn’t a game, and the squirt gun fight in the afternoon was already over when we got there and then they didn’t start again and there was still 30min left. We enjoyed our time but bummed

Yes pool felt good temperature wise. But it wasnt clean. I understand extra people since hot weekend, but there was a lot in the bottom and was cloudy. Also, dont advertise a slide and not have it! Take off all your pictures of it! Bathroom- Definitely needs to get maintained better. I understand the holding handle til all flushed and cant help idiots who dont read, but was not clean much.

I feel the place isn’t being kept up to par. Playground fence falling apart. Women’s bathroom handicapped out of order when we got there, toilet next to it almost out of tp, tp all over floor. Friday morning garbage was full in pool area!! Mini golf has needed updating for years!! Just not a happy camper this year !!

The bathrooms and showers were very dirty. My niece rented a park model her husband had to clean the bathroom before they took a shower. No water slide game room food building or hay rides open. Such a shame this use to be a beautiful place. I do have to give the front desk staff a shout out because they were all very nice. They probably just have too much to do with an overworked staff.

There was a lot of changes. Arcade games and pool table are all gone. The older gentleman and older woman at the registration desk were kind. The middle aged guy was a jerk. He needs to go and take some classes on customer service.

The park needs the pot holes fixed. Sites are very close together and could use updates for big rigs. Lots of sites are empty due to no utility. The kids do have fun with all the park has to offer.

The campground was hopping and busy with 4th of July celebrations. An excited and welcoming environment; we appreciated the hospitality from the owners and their staff/community.

Water slide not operational with no explanation. Bathroom near the slide was messy. Garbage wasn't emptied, there was bird excrement on the stall doors, sinks weren't wiped down for days, tall grass in the K9 park and other areas. It had an overall feeling of neglect which is something we have never experienced before. I hope the new team can restore this park to its previous level.

We have camped at the Hayward KOA over the 4th of July for the past 12 years. Unfortunately this time we did not schedule for next year. The campground has really gone downhill. This is so sad to see because the campground does have potential. I'm hoping the right people take over and do some improvements. We would love to come back, but not until it's cleaned up and more maintained.

Travis is a great guy easy to talk to and looking for ideas to make Hayward KOA great again. We have been camping there for many years and have noticed the steady decline in the property cleanliness and appearance. Travis is a very hard worker we watched him out countless hours working around the property fixing and cleaning things up. We were very pleased and will return!

This is our third year spending the 4th of July weekend at the Hayward KOA. We've already made reservations for next year. We love all the activities that are available. The tubing, biking trails, glow dance, and events in nearby Hayward make the weekend a wonderful, fun getaway! The new general manager was extremely helpful. We know that upcoming improvements will make the facilities even better!

The water slide was not working. The ice cream shop was closed. The tubing was not running. The bath rooms were dirty and NO toilet paper in the bath room behind the store. And the the workers were driving around fast creating alot of dust. And what little grass there is was not moved. The only good thing for my stay is my grand kids enjoy the bou ce pillow. And I left 4 days early.

We have been coming to this KOA since 2014. Great friend staff! The grounds are clean & facilities are up to date. Lots of things to do for kids. The slide is being updated with splash pad being put in which will be nice. The on site ice cream & pizza is a bonus. They do great with communicating via text, it’s always nice getting updates/reminders with a quick way to get information if needed.

The sites are so close together that it was like a can of sardines. We didn't pull out 2 of our slides or the awning as I think they may have touched the campers next to us. Also, as we drove through to park and when we left, branches from the trees scraped the top of our camper. I think they could trim the trees so that doesn't happen.

We have been visiting this campground for almost 15 years, we were a bit put off this year. The waterslide was closed with no notice. The arcade was closed and no access to a coin machine for laundry. The bathroom near the waterslide was not cleaned in the week we stayed there (same garbage on floor and sink). The drain was clogged and the floor flooded. Shower stall door needs replacing and hooks

This park has gone downhill since new owners and management took over. After 20 plus years of staying here we will not be returning. It’s sad that Travis cannot be trusted and has ruined what was once our favorite campground. We were lied to about tubing. Other amenities were either non existent or not up to past standards. Travis doesn’t care about guests or maintaining the standards of KOA.

We have been camping at Hayward for years and years and nothing has been updated. I know it’s not a five star hotel but more attention to the small details would be appreciated !

Waterside is down, red pine Cafe is closed monday and Tuesday, almost half the bathrooms are broken and not clean. Why have amenities if they wont open them to paying customers(the red pine) and invest some money into the place to make it look nice again. Been the same for almost 30 years.

We have stayed at this campground for the last five years. This year it was very rundown. I don’t think that it was at KOA standards. The pool was very dirty and the pool deck needed a real good sweep, and needed the weeds pulled. The bathrooms needed to be cleaned, the waterslide was not open and did not have water in the basin. The shelves in the store where empty and food place was Closed.

Was promised 3 campsites near each other 3 months in advance but when we arrived that was not the case. The assistant manager didn’t apologize nor offer any solution. The big water slide was closed due to disrepair. Many tent sites had more than 1 tent but I had to pay for 1 site per tent. Called to resolve issue after our stay but manager never called back, hence this bad review.

There does not seem to be the KOA pride at this location. The bathrooms were dirty and muddy, so showering was a very unpleasant experience. The grounds were all dirt, not ground cover, flowers, grass, etc. Of course, this contributes to the mud problem, but also the huge dust problem. Too many people with too many campfires, had to leave early as I was having respiratory issues.

Very disappointed. Our family campout has been with you for years and now we’ve decided to move. No slide, no tubing, no game room. In general, the park is not clean and in disrepair.

We found the water slide closed, arcade removed, as well as pool table/air hockey removed from the pavilion. We hope next year the new splash pad will be up replacing the water slide, as well as some other additions to replace what is no longer. Also, only one shower in the whole campground was working.

Things have changed since our stay last year. The showers by the main lodge do not work, the bathrooms are not cleaned daily (sinks/floors) the red pine was barely open and when it was the coffee was very watery and the chicken strips were cold, the water slide is no longer open (closed permanently) the arcade is gone and so are the games under the pavilion. The staff was very friendly and helpful! There were a lot of amenities but the pool and area were not well maintained. The sites are incredibly close together-and people did not abide by the quiet times.

The employees on golf carts drive way too fast through the campground. The showers are disgusting. They were not cleaned or sanitized at all during our stay. The sites are too close to one another, and the parking is terrible. We couldn’t get pizza on Saturday, as we were told that hot food wasn’t available that day.

Was disappointed to book 2 campsites on the same booking and we were spread out and then the cabin was across the campground. Makes things difficult with kids. Spaces are tiny if you have a camper. Luckily the surrounding spaces were open when we arrived so we could back in using other sites and had to wait for the camper in front of us to leave before we could leave. Great time but site 34 only has 50 amp on the wrong side of the site so had to share picnic area with next site the water slide was broken no access to canoe and tubing and we were not told until arrived

We came for the Musky Fest and enjoyed the KOA. I would have liked better WiFi but we weren’t there for the internet. You may have to look into cutting a few of the pine trees since several of us had a hard time with longer campers getting out of our site. I don’t like to see the big pines cut but I will have to think twice about staying here unless the sites are made wider and easier to exit

Everything seemed a little less taken care of than the last time we had been there two years ago. Bathrooms were always dirty, weeds were everywhere instead of flowers, slide is closed, no arcade games. We would look at other campsites before rebooking at the KOA for the price.

Check in was fabulous, cabin already had the a/c on, it was super hot outside, unpacked and then sat on the porch swing... it had an enormous creek, I love a porch swing. Asked the office to send some WD40, and noone came either of my 2 day stay so i wentvto walmart and bought my own and fixd it myself. Pool area was amazing, there were lots of other activities for all ages. Bathrooms were midern and clean! Would definitely return some day.

We enjoyed our time at the KOA. The campground was very quiet, although we were on the back row and not near a lot of the activities. The bathrooms were pretty clean. The showers were hot and had good water pressure. We did rent tubes, they took us to the beginning and picked us up at the end. Being a holiday weekend it was an overall nice stay.

This is one of our favorite KOA's. They are in the works to do some upgrades with plans to put in a splash pad. You can go tubing down the river (highly recommend). There is a pool, which does tend to get a little over packed. On site pizza and ice cream which is yummy. Always clean & family friendly. Lots to do on the area.
