Honestly it could have been better. The paid premium WiFi was terrible. The showers were filthy. The employees were hostile and entertaining themselves by driving around fast in carts. It was muddy: most KOAs we’ve stayed at have some kind of ground cover. The campsites are too close together compared to other KOAs, so on a busy weekend it’s not really camping; it’s just a smoky parking lot.

Here is the great - Heated Pool, Bouncing Pillow, and availability of units. Here are a couple of things to consider: absolutely packed on the weekend, and the sites are very close to each other; very empty on weekdays, though some amenities are closed. The general store is not what it once was, but you can get some things.

Great place for no more than three days. Almost too many trees navigate around with larger rigs. Need more grassy areas for small dogs, too much sand.

We started staying at this campground several years ago. The owners back then took pride in their campground by having friendly convenient service and they maintained the grounds at the highest standards. Now it is rundown after several different owners. It is sad. We will be looking for a different campground next year.

We've been coming for 5 years. This year there was a broken waterside, no arcade, no river tubing option, and the restroom cleanliness and quality have decreased.

Really disappointed that there no longer is a water slide, arcade or tubing. The bathrooms were very dirty and unstocked with TP. The landscaping was very sad this year as the canoes usually are planted with flowers and this year it was all weeds. Unimpressed with the amount of ice cream you get for the money you pay for it at the store. Overall, it seems like they are going downhill!

The campsites are very tight for large campers and the vehicle needed to pull them. The neighbors fire is literally outside your window. The pool gets disgusting with all the dirt, and people. Maintenance doesn't seem to happen throughout the day. Bathrooms and showers were clean and acceptable. Close to town, which was nice.

Great for kids. Pretty quiet considering how close the sites are together. Pool is always packed. Shower house and bathrooms pretty clean. Definitely “city camping” or glamping.

Our only concern is the music played from 8-10 pm. It was so loud, I couldn't think straight. Please consider playing it a little softer.

Place is a mud hole during and after rain. All roads and sites are in desperate need of fill and grading. Puddles (small ponds) on the roads and sites two days after rain.

Not the quality or sites we have come to expect from KOA. Premium site was tight and flooded when checking in. Fire pit was awkward and so deep it was hard to build a fire. Waterside advertised looked broken down and not open. I will look elsewhere when in the area in the future unfortunately.

Group around us partied til I ended it at 445 am Sat. Morning! All the campers were packed together instead of spread out throughout the park. Sites are tiny. Nope would never recommend it!

We had a great time. We loved that there is so much to do for the kids. The new management team was very nice. We will be back. Thanks for giving us a great weekend.

No maintenance done till late Friday Cold pool till Saturday. We were there Wednesday through Sunday No gender designation sign on main bathroom till Friday Was not aware of no tubing or water slide Loose dogs not controlled Run down campground staying alive cause of the KOA name

It was an amazing stay. I wish the water slide would have been open or a discount was given for the fact that it was not. We got an email two days before our stay saying it would be closed for updating.

We are a seniors and came in on a Tuesday. Our first camping adventure (new RV) everyone was very friendly and helpful. The people in the office gave us advice since we are new to this, it was peaceful and beautiful. We will be back.

I was surprised to learn after arriving that the slide and tubing were not an option. For years we usually stay 3-4 times a year with various friends. We always love seeing Brooke and George. Brooke is so helpful and friendly with my kids! I was sad to hear George isn’t there daily this year he takes pride in the work. We enjoy coming back each year to the same friendly workers.

The campground was only about 10% full, yet we we were assigned a site right next to 3 other campers. Why couldn't the campground spread us out. There were plenty of other same type of site options. There was also a site that had two tents and tons of random stuff scattered about their site i.e.several houseplants, luggage, blankets, etc. Why weren't they required to pick up their site?

It was a good time. Where we were camped with our friends works great! We had 8 units camping together. We made reservations again for next year. Travis can you please remember to remove the dead tree in site 406 please.

I have been coming here straight for over 10 years. First year I have seen a campsite with homeless people having stuff scattered over 2 sites. And it was out front of registration. The kids arcade is gone as well as the water slide. Was told the arcade is now additional office space and the water slide is being torn down for a new water feature but as of June 8th not now bit of construction. Sad.

It was very unkept, overgrown and looked rundown. Pool needed cleaning. Staff rode around on golf carts all day rather than actually doing any work or maintenance. The place was vacant,clearly other campers are not impressed either. There was a decomposing animal in the playground. And the themed weekend made fun of special needs people and suggested beer pong for family event. Not worth it.

The grass and weeds around the campground was not cut, too tall helps keep the ticks on the sites ,should be mowed more frequently I don't think they were mowed at all yet this season.

This KOA was very good and we didn't lack anything it all. The staff was very friendly and attentive to campers needs. That said, the infrastructure / amenities in this campground need attention and appear to need some additional reinvestment as many areas were looking a bit tired.

POS: Great location, except for some of the highway noise. Loved all the pine trees w/ no underbrush. Amenities were great, although the water slide was not operational. Great place for families with young children. NEG: Sites are VERY close together so little privacy. We did not even open our shades on one side of our trailer. Showers could use a good steam cleaning.

Seems like new ownership is figuring things out finally. We had a great memorial day weekend recently. Staff is friendly and helpful! While somethings needed work, it was early in the season and things were clean. Sites are definitely small and tight with a bigger rig but with all the activities and areas for our group its not often we are at the camper. Overall was a good experience.

The Visit was not up to the usual standard that we have seen at the Hayward KOA. Grounds needed work (mowing), number of water faucet's throughout the campgrounds were leaking. Talked to the new manager Travis, Got a better understanding of where priorities were since he came on board. Was never impressed with the previous Management Team, never once stopped to talk, Travis did on our 2nd Day

We enjoyed our stay at Hayward KOA. There are a lot of fun activities and the amenities are very nice. A ton of sights. The campground is extremely dated. There also needs to be more attention to the grounds with upkeep and maintenance. Too many trees impede the ability of large rv’s to accessibility. A holiday rating should be reflected throughout the campground.

We generally frequent Hayward KOA five times a year the sites were not mowed or raked. The café was not open when it was supposed to be pool was not open on Friday. They took away the arcade. They took away the pool table and air hockey. Also took away the waterside. The place is understaffed bathrooms were out of toilet paper. We’ll probably never be back.

Everything about the campground was great, nice and clean, amenities were as advertised and staff was beyond friendly, only issue we had was older kids (old enough to know better) were rough housing on the jumping pillow and kids that weren’t involved in the game were either getting push off the pillow or other bigger kids were landing on them, ruined the jumping pillow for my young kids

Empty early in the season, and needing to be cleaned up a bit - I get it, it’s early. But piles of pine needles! Checkin was pleasant - hospitable hosts. Paid for best pull through, was disappointed on two aspects: gravel and not level concrete, and the electrical hookup was passenger, front right, whereas normal pull through hookups are driver side rear. So weird and my 50amp cord barely reac

Stayed late in the season. Not much going on, but could see it would be a fun place for kids. Bathrooms very old, but functional. Great staff, very helpful. Good store for convenience .

We really did enjoy our stay at the Hayward WI KOA! With our two pups, we had the Paw Pen site! It was great! This paw pen is the greatest one we have ever come across! It is enormous, with room for the pups to run in, and also with umbrella picnic table, and adirondak chairs! It was so well maintained and clean!!!! Thank you so much, as it was a great highlight at the long travel days end!

Check in was fabulous, cabin already had the a/c on, it was super hot outside, unpacked and then sat on the porch swing... it had an enormous creek, I love a porch swing. Asked the office to send some WD40, and noone came either of my 2 day stay so i wentvto walmart and bought my own and fixd it myself. Pool area was amazing, there were lots of other activities for all ages. Bathrooms were midern and clean! Would definitely return some day.

We enjoyed our time at the KOA. The campground was very quiet, although we were on the back row and not near a lot of the activities. The bathrooms were pretty clean. The showers were hot and had good water pressure. We did rent tubes, they took us to the beginning and picked us up at the end. Being a holiday weekend it was an overall nice stay.

This is one of our favorite KOA's. They are in the works to do some upgrades with plans to put in a splash pad. You can go tubing down the river (highly recommend). There is a pool, which does tend to get a little over packed. On site pizza and ice cream which is yummy. Always clean & family friendly. Lots to do on the area.
