Have been coming here yearly for 12 years. It's a beautiful location and family friendly. My suggestion would be to do a better job of cleaning and maintaining the outside of the cabins. Holes in screen doors, lots of spider nests in the log corners and baked on grime on the logs and light fixtures. I'm told the water slide seems to be a bit rickety.

We have been repeat visitors for several years to the Hayward Koa. We book our site and pay in full the year in advance. However when we check in this year, we were told we needed to pay an additional fee of 20.00 to lock in our site. This is ridiculous as we locked in the site when we booked it a year in advance. Won’t be returning or renewing membership.

The staff is always on top of it. Bathrooms are always clean. Their text line is great. I ordered ice twice and they delivered it to our cabin within minutes.

It is a great place to bring kids and grandkids .. They were very happy with the pool and water slide Hayward was not far away to provide other activities There is drawback, the prices of the sites and cabins are getting a little expensive.

Lots of activities but it is too crowded. Sites are too close together so very little space to enjoy time as a family together at campsite.

The shower was broken in our cabin, we had a gentleman try and fix it twice but still didn’t work. There were ants in the bed when we checked in and all over the floor in the main bedroom. The red barn was always closing early due to staff issues, and the lady yelled at my son in the main store for taking to LONG picking out his icecream!!! The kids had a blast and felt special. It felt like a trip just for them. The kabin we were in was a decent walk to the nearest bathroom, which was tough for us. I have four small kids and am parenting solo at the moment, so having to take all of them to use the bathroom was a pain.

Perfect family campground with glamping options! We stayed in 3 deluxe cabins and enjoyed their patios, firepits, and grills. The waterslide next door is available for kids of all ages - you just need an adult if your kiddo is under 42 inches. The only things that would have been nice is a floor plan and inside pictures of the cabins. They have full size refrigerators and showers with small tubs.

I stayed in a small cabin on the perimeter of the campground. The accomodations were adequate, though rather expensive. Saturday morning at 1:30 am a rowdy group of men pulled into their campsite next to me. Every other word was “F” this, along with some other choice profanities. So much for family friendly! Perfect for our family. Kids ages 6, 4, and 2 were entertained the entire time. We would probably upgrade to a bigger cabin next time but all in all it was a great trip.

Besides the campers to the left of us not obeying quiet hour past 11 pm with their drinking and being loud; it was a very nice get away for us. Enjoyed the pool and activities!

Great location, loved the activities planned, and all the fun things to do on-site (swimming pool, golf, waterside, etc). Our cabin was in a perfect location and had all we needed. We would love to come back again!

I wish the wagon ride was more than just Saturday. It is a hilight for the kids. We love the crafts and activities for kids on the weekend. It is non stop fun for them. We hope you bring back entertainment like Mr. Fun and the fire dancing. The kids also loved Hula hooping contests and limbo.

We’ve been staying here for 9 years. The staff are pleasant and the facilities are very clean. There are fun activities for the kids. What we didn’t like, and has changed under new ownership are the prices. My one bedroom cabin this year was $40 MORE than the price of my two bedroom cabin last year. We came from Minneapolis to Hayward specifically to stay at this KOA! We loved all the family-focused amenities and our kids had a total blast. The bouncing pillow and mini golf were their favorites, but us adults loved the deluxe cabin and friendly staff the most! Thanks for a fun and relaxing weekend!

This was my first experience at a KOA and OMG it was amazing. I don't have kids but it is a fairy tale land for families. And even without kids it is very clean and abundant with staff. I will definitely be staying here again.

Check in was fabulous, cabin already had the a/c on, it was super hot outside, unpacked and then sat on the porch swing... it had an enormous creek, I love a porch swing. Asked the office to send some WD40, and noone came either of my 2 day stay so i wentvto walmart and bought my own and fixd it myself. Pool area was amazing, there were lots of other activities for all ages. Bathrooms were midern and clean! Would definitely return some day.

We enjoyed our time at the KOA. The campground was very quiet, although we were on the back row and not near a lot of the activities. The bathrooms were pretty clean. The showers were hot and had good water pressure. We did rent tubes, they took us to the beginning and picked us up at the end. Being a holiday weekend it was an overall nice stay.

This is one of our favorite KOA's. They are in the works to do some upgrades with plans to put in a splash pad. You can go tubing down the river (highly recommend). There is a pool, which does tend to get a little over packed. On site pizza and ice cream which is yummy. Always clean & family friendly. Lots to do on the area.
