Everything was great. Only negatives was they ran out of donuts before 8am and the pool heater broke. My son was pretty bummed it was too cold for him to swim. Otherwise we love KOA. It was our 3rd year.

We look forward to staying here every year. We were disappointed that the Red Pine was closed all day on Tuesday. And also the water in the water slide was so cold that my kids did not want to go down it. We did have an issue with an unsupervised young boy who told us he was an employees son. He spanked our 7 year old on the butt while they were playing on the playground.

It was fun but…we had visitors come and my sister had to pay for her 4 month old baby to come in! Then the kids could not do much because the slides were closed and they shut down the trampoline really early so they were paying for all their kids to do nothing. It’s really frustrating.

The bathrooms were out of order almost the whole time. The machines in the game room were broken. Overall it all seem a little rundown. However, the cafe had good food and prompt delivery and the pool was great.

We stayed a couple nights and loved all the events that were organized, the food and grounds. The staff was very helpful and kind, too.

I have been coming to Hayward koa for 22 years now. And lately the quality and cleanliness of everything has gone WAY down hill. The bathrooms at the club house were out of order so there were port-a potties to use. The playground had lots of broken pieces. (like the steering wheel on the truck) The shower houses were filthy and smelt terrible all weekend. The mini golf is rotten and broken.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Hayward KOA. We found that the gentleman with the dreads had amazing customer service and was a real pleasure to communicate with as he delivered wood and pizza and made the ice cream for our kids was absolutely fabulous experience. The only complaints that we found was that the fire pit was too deep for a fire and mice in the cabin.

The first time staying there about my daughter and her family stays there every year very nice clean exceptionally attentive and helpful staff. Maintenance staff was spot on very courteous and actually were able to engage with people on like most maintenance at most of those places. Very good job I would certainly go there again in fact I'm planning on going back next year

Great place for families with kids. Lots of activities for them to stay busy. Mattress in our cabin very poor- bed frame so noisy it would wake everyone up every time we turned over. Barely any water coming out of the shower head- tried all the different flow settings. It is camping but for the cost of the cabin - it would’ve been nice to be able to rinse my hair.

Honestly a mixed bag. Bought by private equity firm about 5 years ago. Positive: cabin what we needed for our family, lots of fun kids activities, quiet at night in back of campground Negatives: cosmetics poor, water on the floor in cabin during rainstorm, pool ice cold (lots of audible complaints about this), playground has safety issues, teenage drone users harrassed guests but not remove

Would be helpful to have a photo of the cabin floor plans instead of a diagram. We didn't realize the ceiling was so low in the loft. Also should provide a instruction booklet in each cabin. Didn't find inflatable mattress for futon until day 2. Everything else was very good fir a family vacation especially for the grandkids. Had a nice time.

The staff was helpful and very visible on the grounds if we had a problem. The cabins were clean and well maintained. The restrooms were down by the lobby but felt having the portable bathrooms in that area was a way to accommodate guests. It always felt safe for children to run and play and be kids. We felt this property was cleaner and better maintained than the accommodations at Wisconsin Dells

My family has been coming to this KOA for the last 4 years. We enjoy all of the amenities they offer and the staff is amazing and the campgrounds are well maintained. We are already planning next years vacation here.

Stayed in a deluxe cabin. The futon cracked very loudly when sat or slept on when you moved! The bunk bed mattresses are so thin I could feel the wood frame below it! Very uncomfortable!

Normally I would give a 5. We come every year. This year the toilets were broken and the port a potties didn’t get emptied resulting in a horrible smell. There were not as many activities for the themed weekend like previous years. Handful of games or machines in the arcade were broken. Our camping cabin was good as expected and the staff were great. Hope by next year a little TLC happen

After paying a high enough price for a cabin, beds, A/C, electricity, I felt like the KOA nickel and dimed us. Mini golf is $3 a person per round and the water slide was $2 for 1 time. The Mount Rushmore KOA doesn't charge for mini golf while having more to offer. Also, the toilets were out if order. They did bring in outdoor toilets but they were disgusting.

I have been staying at the KOA with my family for many years. This year we noticed maintenance at the KOA is lacking. Bathrooms that are not functional, fencing that needs to be put back into place (leaning). Terrible smell coming from the portable toilet. Buildings need painting and upkeep. Some of the arcade games were not working. Bathroom and showers need deep cleaning. A bit disappointing.

It's huge place but when we were there but when we were here this last week it was about 1/2 full which made it even better. Grandson loved the playgrounds, pool & bounce pad. It was quiet at night. Some showers took a little longer to warm up but worked good. We were in a cabin and the ac worked great. So all in all a good place to stay.

We love staying here. On our last stay, we arrived on Sunday and left Tuesday morning. My husband said the men's bathroom was messy/dirty the whole time. (as we were leaving Tues. morning, a cleaning team was just beginning) Also, the garbage bins where you use your hand to push the trash in were very dirty - I didn't want to touch it to throw away the trash. Overall - a GREAT place!!

Our family gathered last weekend and had so much fun. We stayed in KL26 and K199. The family enjoyed the pool, golf and tubing down the river. We really enjoyed our time and the staff were so nice and helpful. Will be back next year.

Best place ever for kids! The only thing missing is a hot tub! Then it would be perfect. The cabins are adorable, we loved all the things the staff do for the kids. The ice cream shop guys are the sweetest and the playground is the best. Just please get a hot tub guys!! :)

Bathrooms were not cleaned during my 3 day stay. Had 4 port-a-potties set up for guests to use because restroom near pool was being repaired. A lot of the games in game room weren’t working. Pool was fun, but management should have given discount to campers. Price was high for the condition of facility. Not sure if I’d be back again.

As always had a wonderful time. Pool area, Red Barn, playground all clean. Even with one bathroom area out of order the other was always clean. Our cabin was in a bit of disrepair with torn screens and hazardous nails. But overall everything was as expected. Some of us have been coming there for 26 years and will continue to do so.

Was a little disappointed the bathrooms by the pool were out of order for both of my stays in July. I’m sure that’s something that’ll have to be fixed during off season maybe idk. Just not used to things not being in working order. As well as the water slide being down for a while as well which I wasn’t notified about at check-in. I love this place no mater what for personal reasons though

Love the location. Camp is kept clean Cabin(kl2), is simply overpriced for what's offered. The futon is very uncomfortable and needs to be replaced, no way a person can sleep on it. Honestly, if that situation was remedied I'd be ok with nearly everything

We have been visiting this KOA as campers and for cabin rentals for 18 years now and will continue to do so. We stayed at a deluxe cabin and loved it. It was clean and well appointed. When we ran out of anything (coffee anyone?) they replaced it quickly and with enough so we would not have to request more for the duration of our stay! The staff continues to be friendly each year.

We had a great time like we do every year. We were in cabin KL8. Only thing I wish we could change is the mattress in the futon. It is getting pretty flat and uncomfortable. Otherwise we had a great time.

Only issue was one important to us- the nearest and most accommodating restrooms were out of order the entire weekend during peak season. Out of 3 restroom in the park- the walk was quite a distance to closest, often at capacity with a line. When paying $124 a night- with a description of “near restrooms” prior to a non refundable payment-there should have been notice. Otherwise Great.

Wonderful time!! We were celebrating our great granddaughters 4th birthday. Owner/manager went out of the way to wish her a happy birthday and gave her a coupon for ice cream �� of her choice. Smiles ear to ear. Pool, camping cabin and grounds very clean. Only bummer was the bathrooms closest to us did not have working toilets, but I think that was being resolved. Will be back!

Check in was fabulous, cabin already had the a/c on, it was super hot outside, unpacked and then sat on the porch swing... it had an enormous creek, I love a porch swing. Asked the office to send some WD40, and noone came either of my 2 day stay so i wentvto walmart and bought my own and fixd it myself. Pool area was amazing, there were lots of other activities for all ages. Bathrooms were midern and clean! Would definitely return some day.

We enjoyed our time at the KOA. The campground was very quiet, although we were on the back row and not near a lot of the activities. The bathrooms were pretty clean. The showers were hot and had good water pressure. We did rent tubes, they took us to the beginning and picked us up at the end. Being a holiday weekend it was an overall nice stay.

This is one of our favorite KOA's. They are in the works to do some upgrades with plans to put in a splash pad. You can go tubing down the river (highly recommend). There is a pool, which does tend to get a little over packed. On site pizza and ice cream which is yummy. Always clean & family friendly. Lots to do on the area.
