We have been coming to the Hayward KOA for 9 years. It’s honestly disappointing to see how the campground is now. The facilities themselves are no longer maintained. Filthy cabin with mouse droppings. The pool was filthy each day with lots of hair. There was not very many people there to make that amount of hair. The arcade and water slide are no longer. No amenities during the week offered.

We were disappointed to arrive and find out many of the amenities we were used to over the years were now only offered on weekends. I hope that things turn around for the Hayward KOA, it used to be one of our favorite destinations.

Our lodge was nice, but we had to do lots of cleaning upon moving in. Later, the manager listened and made good by discounting one night's lodging fee for the problem. Swimming pool is nice, but needs more shade. Mini golf needs sprucing up. We miss the ice cream and Red Pine breakfast. We were there Sunday-Wednesday. We've been camping at the Hayward KOA since 1974.

Nothing was open or available. No water slide, no game room, front office closed at 5pm - we showed up at 6pm. No food available on site. This is not a Holiday KOA and should not be labelled as such.

We've been coming for 20 years and l9ved it. The past 2 have been awful. The cabins were dirty. Setting up tubing was disorganized and took way to long. The staff that we had personal interactions with were great as always

We have been coming to Hayward KOA for over 30 years . Last year was bad. But this year was even worse. We love the staff that is there (Glend; Travis etc). But they need more help!,,,, the place could not keep up with the limited staff. Ice cream shop was barely open. We come every year for the last 5 years. Disappointed about the water slide, arcade, tubing and Red Pine not being open during our normal Sunday-Wednesday stay while still paying full price as we do every year but the kids had fun with what was open. Will plan to stay again next year but hopeful the other amenities will be available for us!

Very disappointed with our stay this time. Restrooms were dirty, men’s bathroom toilet kept clogging and over flowing. It took days for the messes to be cleaned. Sites should be more groomed. The Red Pune wasn’t open on 2 of the days we were there. And lastly, please ask your staff to slow down when driving those golf carts around. There are children running around everywhere.

We had a cabin and a camp site. Camp site was fine. Cabin was filthy when we arrived. Tooth paste all over sink and mirror. Coffee dried on counter by coffee pot. Dish washer did not work. Walls were filled with finger prints. Fridge was so large you could hardly get into hallway. Could also leave some household items since we pay so much to use the cabin. Should be more like airbnb.

Firewood was not brought to site, had to request. No coin change for laundry, had to go to town to get change. Showers were untidy.

Nice little cabin with hot water & good AC! However, it looks like things are winding down there a little too much for us. No arcade. No waterslide. No tubing. 3 big activities that we always looked forward to. It was some great memories but the bounce pillow is the only real draw now.

Enjoyed the stay. Kids liked the pool, jump pad, and playground area…bathrooms were meh and needed some TLC. The mini golf course was a joke and not worth $3 each to play. The small cabin was perfect for the stay and very clean, minus the very musty smell.

Very friendly staff and fun activities for kids. Our cabin was very dirty unfortunately. Bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a couple stays, windowsills were dirty filled with dead bugs and it had a strange smell to it.

We have previously loved this campground but the past few years have been rough. This year they failed to let us know that the waterslide and tubing wouldn't be available. We also did not have WiFi all weekend long and had multiple issues with our A/C unit and hot water. We really struggled to enjoy our time this year and, sadly, will not be returning.

Beautiful pool and amenities. The cabins need lots of help, there no blinds in bedrooms, at 5am, it’s so bright you can’t sleep. The internet/Tv has been down for 3+ years. The furnace shouldn’t be under kids bunk beds, EXTREMELY loud, and not safe. Try sleeping in there and when it goes off at 2am it’s scary. living room couches are worn out, need new ones.fridge is huge, but no stove to

I arrived with my mother on May 23rd. My son and his family were in site 121 with their camper. I was assigned to a cabin ways from them. My daughter inlaw went back to the office. Eric helped get us switched to a cabin, kitty corner from their site. What a nice gesture. My mom uses a walker and it made for a much nicer stay. We will be back and Kudos to the staff. The staff was phenomenal, so accommodating and friendly. The kiddos loved the pool, jump pad, tractor ride and playground. The cabin was a bit dusty, windows and screens need a good cleaning. Grass wasn’t mowed. Overall it was a good stay, but felt a bit dirty and unkept.

My parents and family have been going to the Hayward KOA for over 20 years. This was the first year I saw it so empty on our memorial weekend trip. The last few years we have watched the place decay. Upkeep seems to be the last thing on the owners mind. Mini golf course boards are rotted out, water slide looks like it hasn't run in years, grounds weren't mowed. It just looks run down.

We love the Hayward KOA. We have stayed there for 35 years. My only concern is at the KL9 fire pit being part of the concrete slab. It is not easily seen. My daughter fell in the fire pit while carrying groceries in. She was not seriously injured but did get hurt. There was no fire. Needs to not be there or be more obvious.

The staff are friendly, they keep the campground clean and they offer terrific events for kids. We camp here every year and plan to continue doing so for years to come!

We have been returning for many years. The amenities are good. Seems there is an issue with the septic and/or pool or water side every year. One or more is always closed. Would request the staff in the check in/out office and driving around be more polite, very rude each year. Understand its the end of the season but its not what you say its how you say it. Kids that work there are great!

I get that this time was in the off season but I didn’t realize it until we got there and the pool my son was wanting to swim in was drained and the ice cream store was closed and the general store closes at 5. The flush toilets closest to our cabin were unusable the entire 3 day weekend. My husband and I are in our 70s; we had stayed at this KOA the previous year so we knew where things are; we did not like the extra walking at night to a flush toilet. The port-a-potties, which were closer, were okay for about a day and a half, but then they started to fill with waste and were disgusting to use.

Check in was fabulous, cabin already had the a/c on, it was super hot outside, unpacked and then sat on the porch swing... it had an enormous creek, I love a porch swing. Asked the office to send some WD40, and noone came either of my 2 day stay so i wentvto walmart and bought my own and fixd it myself. Pool area was amazing, there were lots of other activities for all ages. Bathrooms were midern and clean! Would definitely return some day.

We enjoyed our time at the KOA. The campground was very quiet, although we were on the back row and not near a lot of the activities. The bathrooms were pretty clean. The showers were hot and had good water pressure. We did rent tubes, they took us to the beginning and picked us up at the end. Being a holiday weekend it was an overall nice stay.

This is one of our favorite KOA's. They are in the works to do some upgrades with plans to put in a splash pad. You can go tubing down the river (highly recommend). There is a pool, which does tend to get a little over packed. On site pizza and ice cream which is yummy. Always clean & family friendly. Lots to do on the area.
