The check-in process was a bit chaotic, with long lines and some confusion — definitely an area that could be streamlined for a better first impression. We were placed at a tent site that was basically under the waterside and adjacent to the freeway. When sitting at our fire, if the wind blew we would get misted with water from the slide. The pool was pretty much standing room only, and it wasn't even an extremely hot day. Growing up, it felt like a family-friendly place. Now, it feels like an over-crowded cash grab.

Cool place to stay. Bathrooms were far away from our tent and out of order so we had to use porta potty’s. Pool was small and full most of the weekend with no where to sit. Shower houses are outdated

If there is one complaint (and only one), it would be to remind people to not walk through other people's sites. Maybe a reminder that there is walkways between roads. :) All the staff are amazing! We enjoy coming here every summer with the grandkids. It's the Taj Mahal of camping!

Great campsite with plenty of shade. We had a wonderful time. Wish everything was included in the stay. Seems a little nickel and dime you to death but overall good. The girl who ran bingo was the only problem we had. She was very cranky.

Have stayed here a few times and it’s starting to get pretty run down. Went to office to ask if it was ok to park a second vehicle in the parking lot up front as sites are very small. For some reason I proceeded to get a lecture how if I parked a second vehicle on my site It was guaranteed I would start a fight and that everybody thinks there entitled.

The campground itself was nice, the spots were extremely tight, especially for a 5th wheel with slide on both sides. The campground was far from full, so it seemed odd that they put us right next to another camper, when they had several of the same type available. They did the same to campers the next row over as well. When the spots are SO tight, give people more space when you have the option.

When we checked in and got to our cabin our television didnt work. The next day our grill didn't work. Simple things but can be a throw off.

Campsite was great, one of the outside chairs was rotted and broke when sat on. Workers were not as polite as year before. Other than that was a good time

There were adults in the pool with open beer cans which is not allowed. Trash was floating around also( empty sprite bottle and wrappers) Your campground was down to 1 bathroom/shower house because of a septic issue. I understand things like that happen- however, the only usable bathroom was never cleaned. Waste baskets were overflowing, t.p. all over the floor, and floor not swept.

Best place ever for kids! The only thing missing is a hot tub! Then it would be perfect. The cabins are adorable, we loved all the things the staff do for the kids. The ice cream shop guys are the sweetest and the playground is the best. Just please get a hot tub guys!! :)

While we understand that we stayed at peak season, this campground seemed overbooked and overcrowded. Wasn’t terrible… but we wouldn’t choose to return.

Bathrooms were not cleaned during my 3 day stay. Had 4 port-a-potties set up for guests to use because restroom near pool was being repaired. A lot of the games in game room weren’t working. Pool was fun, but management should have given discount to campers. Price was high for the condition of facility. Not sure if I’d be back again.

The person who checked me in didn’t want to switch me to a better site. I was supposed to be across from pool and smelly outhouses because bathhouse was broken. He said I should have called or paid the $20 to choose a site. Really? You have 80% vacancy on a Monday night. He reluctantly moved me. Bathrooms were dirty and old. Need a tear down and rebuild. Sites are close but I knew that.

We had a great stay here. Staff and pool were very nice and willing to help when we needed anything. Pool was crowded as it was hot but water clean and refreshing. Would love it if there were more umbrellas at the pool and a rule about leaving chairs for hours unattended was put into place.

As always had a wonderful time. Pool area, Red Barn, playground all clean. Even with one bathroom area out of order the other was always clean. Our cabin was in a bit of disrepair with torn screens and hazardous nails. But overall everything was as expected. Some of us have been coming there for 26 years and will continue to do so.

Was a little disappointed the bathrooms by the pool were out of order for both of my stays in July. I’m sure that’s something that’ll have to be fixed during off season maybe idk. Just not used to things not being in working order. As well as the water slide being down for a while as well which I wasn’t notified about at check-in. I love this place no mater what for personal reasons though

Lots of stuff to keeps kids happy and busy. I thought the lack of flushing bathrooms was disappointing. During our stay the bathrooms near the playground didn't work and only had porta potties near by. Our daughter is potty training so it was super hard to get her to even go in the thing. (Our problem) But the nearest bathroom that flushed was across the campground.

Everything was lovely with two exceptions 1. Not having the main bathrooms available. This was a review several days prior to our stay furthermore disappointing that these weren’t fixed yet. 2. The lifeguard at the slide was on his phone. The overall experience was great and would highly recommend!

Bug free, kids liked the amenities. Driver for tubbing drop off and pickup was fun to talk with. Sites lacked sewer hookups, water slide was was a tad bit expensive.

Lots of amenities for kids, HOWEVER, camp sites are close and crammed together. We had extremely noisy neighbors late into the night, well past quiet time hours. KOA staff was unresponsive despite several calls to the office and emergency numbers. The only saving grace was that staff was very apologetic in the morning. Despite this, we left a day early and will never return.

Love the location. Camp is kept clean Cabin(kl2), is simply overpriced for what's offered. The futon is very uncomfortable and needs to be replaced, no way a person can sleep on it. Honestly, if that situation was remedied I'd be ok with nearly everything

We have been visiting this KOA as campers and for cabin rentals for 18 years now and will continue to do so. We stayed at a deluxe cabin and loved it. It was clean and well appointed. When we ran out of anything (coffee anyone?) they replaced it quickly and with enough so we would not have to request more for the duration of our stay! The staff continues to be friendly each year.

I've stayed at this location many times over the last 20 years but this time there just didn't seem to be the number of employees as I've seen in the past. Very few nightly patrols keeping people in check.

Unfortunately,this KOA is one of the least favorite KOA we have stayed at. The maintenance of the grounds and facility were not maintained. The laundry facility was dirty and most of the machines didn’t work. The worker stated oh well. The unisex showers were mildew and not clean. The rain came and since most of the grounds is dirt lots of water holes and mud.

First time at the Hayward KOA. Used to larger campsites, so we were a bit leary of the tight spaces. However we had great neighbors! No issue with noise at all! Kudos to the staff member who looked for hubby, who was out looking for grandchild Sunday nite!!

The old guy running the register at the food stand was extremely slow took forever to find what people were ordering on the computer and a major turn off when I waited in line for 10 min and only 5 people ahead of me. I ended up leaving. Overall the rest of the experience was great! Will be back again!

The site we stayed in was very cramped- we couldn’t have awning and slide open at the same time. For my family we enjoyed the Hayward area more than campground. The cost of rental ride on bikes was pretty high for how they worked, also frustrating toilets by pool didn’t work and was replaced by porta potty. My kids loved the playground.

Check in was fabulous, cabin already had the a/c on, it was super hot outside, unpacked and then sat on the porch swing... it had an enormous creek, I love a porch swing. Asked the office to send some WD40, and noone came either of my 2 day stay so i wentvto walmart and bought my own and fixd it myself. Pool area was amazing, there were lots of other activities for all ages. Bathrooms were midern and clean! Would definitely return some day.

We enjoyed our time at the KOA. The campground was very quiet, although we were on the back row and not near a lot of the activities. The bathrooms were pretty clean. The showers were hot and had good water pressure. We did rent tubes, they took us to the beginning and picked us up at the end. Being a holiday weekend it was an overall nice stay.

This is one of our favorite KOA's. They are in the works to do some upgrades with plans to put in a splash pad. You can go tubing down the river (highly recommend). There is a pool, which does tend to get a little over packed. On site pizza and ice cream which is yummy. Always clean & family friendly. Lots to do on the area.
