Told incorrect time for canoeing, waited an hour and the person in the office was rude to me about it. Tried to go tubing but they wouldn’t accommodate our group of 8 but they were willing to bend the rules for a group of 40. Kids were told they had to leave early from the air hockey table but it’s ok to still play basketball? Just disappointing after we’ve come here for so many years.

We really enjoyed our stay, our number one reason we would go back is that there was literally no mosquitoes!!! I am not sure if the area is just like that or if they treat for it but it made camping so much more enjoyable !!! All of the other amenities were nice, our kids had an amazing time! With lots of activities and things to do to keep them busy!

I was dissapointed. A very high rate of $85/night, pre tax and fees. Not a blade of grass on my site and several other sites which made for a mess especially when it rained. Would never do it again!

This is one of the largest KOA campgrounds anywhere, very nice, lots to do. One thing I didn’t like, too much sand and dirt, hard to keep the dirt out of the camper. Some grass or a pad would have been good. Also, a couple kids zipping around on a large 4 wheeler. This was at least a 500, full size for an adult, yet two kids 10-13 year old zipping around, why was that allowed.

Just wonderful staff to work with. Friendly and efficient at providing help. We had a spot for our RV up front near the pool area and putt-putt (as well as the trampoline) and it was pleasant to hear happy young people splashing, bouncing and playing. Just a treat! The snack shop staff make wonderful food and it was just a lovely week. Thank you!

As always we had an amazing time. The only problem we had was we brought our new dog camping with us. She does bark a bit. One of the workers came and told us some people had complained about her barking. He was very nice, and didn´t say we had to leave or anything. But this caused me some anxiety knowing people were complaining, so we had to drive her 1.5 hours each way to my sister´s. :(

Overall the people working the campground were very nice . We normally stay 8 days and in the past they would have wristbands good for 7days for one price for tubing down the river, water slide. Now you have to pay every time you go which can be expensive with grandkids and their parents but we do like the campground

We had a great stay as always. Lots of stuff for the kids to do, friendly staff, clean campground. The only change I might suggest is for the Bigfoot golf cart to slow down when they are driving around the campground to squirt water. There were many times I almost witnessed a collision between them and kids. Other parents had the same worry. Thanks again for a great stay!

We had a fabulous time at the KOA Hayward this past week! Even though it was extremely busy 4th of July week the whole Campground was run with precision and excellence! Staff is over the top friendly, caring, respectful, helpful in any way possible which is refreshing to see!! Everything was as clean as it possibly could be with so many people there at once. We would highly recommend this KOA!

We had a great time. Lots of activities for the whole family. The restrooms and showers could use an upgrade. Also additional restrooms in the furthers part of the campground would be helpful. Thanks to all the staff.

Very nice stay. Especially liked the shuttle to rafting. We got yelled at for not paying for the water slide. We didn't see any signs indicating the slide was an extra charge. It should be more clearly marked.

We arrived to a very crabby lady at the entrance telling us we had to go to our site (I was checking us in my husband was in the truck. How can we go to a site when we have not checked in yet). The people in the office were a bit friendlier then the first lady. We did go to the Red Pine cafe to mozzarella sticks made in the microwave. Ice cream only is my suggestion. Pool was good.

Beautiful campgrounds, the only downside is the sites are to close together for bigger rigs. There should be sites larger for them.

Busy weekend being just before July 4th. Attendants did a good job keeping bathrooms clean but ran out of towels and soap.

This was our 4th consecutive 4th of July weekend staying at the KOA since we got our travel trailer. We love it there and our now 9 year old daughter has had a great time every year. She was a little disappointed that the scavenger hunt, bike parade, and movie in the field were not happening. Also, it seems like other activities weren't as in years past.

2nd stay at this KOA, this one for 7 nights. Overall a nice camping experience, w/abundant shade, amenities and friendly staff. Improvement 1) lack of hot water in north shower house. One hot shower all week! Please upgrade the hot water capacity. 2) Red Pine Express closed M - Th, this was not reflected accurately in marketing. Again, overall a good experience and would recommend.

The amenities and staff are excellent. The campground is very clean and fun but unfortunately for us the campsites are just too close together. Our first night was ok. Our 2nd night a new neighbor talked by their campfire for 2 hrs after quite hours using the F word every other word. They then went in their tent and we could hear them “getting friendly”. We were a bit large for the sites @ 45' but they were OK. Lots of stuff for the family to do and enjoy. Enjoyed the pool and waterslide. We will be back again!

Campground was clean, staff was helpful. Many activities for kids and adults. The only complaint was bathroom stalls by office. They were so high off floor there was little privacy using toilets. Other bathroom was better. Overall the stay was pleasant. We were happy with weekday camping as it was pretty quiet.

While the accommodations in our cabin were nice (clean, everything working, etc) when my group arrived for our stay a few employees made us feel unwelcomed. Simply being a group of young adults doesn’t mean we’ll be disrespectful or need to be reminded numerous times to “behave”.

Great place to visit with or without kids; but some attractions closed. Nestled in among the tall pines. A masterful job carving out a campground in a small forest. No problem navigating in & out of our pull through full hook-up site or the park in a 33' motorhome towing a car. Concerned about the dirt but it was hardpacked & dust was not a problem. Friendly & helpful staff. Would stay again.

Went on a Monday-Wednesday and it was pretty quiet so i enjoed that. Lots of fun activities for kids and staff was wonderful. Cabin was nice. Wished ice cream shop was open though or be able to purchase ice cream in main shop :) thanks for good time!

We go every summer and it's one of our families favorite place to go! I've gone every year since I was a kid and now I love seeing my kids enjoy Hayward KOA. We love it here!

I come to Hayward annually to ride MTN bikes and gravel, and just recently bought an EV. Hayward is short on reliable EV charging stations, and the closest supercharger is close to 140mi away. The staff were so gracious to let me charge my car and keep me from having to wait over 24+ hrs while charging on a household 120V plug! Even though I wasn't staying at the campground. I love people who continue to pay it forward!
