A bit rundown in places. Mini golf was really sad shape. Pool looks sketchy with the color of the water. Way too many people in one place for us ever again. Not watching the rules for when people should be quiet. People were friendly that work there, but hard to keep up with that many guests . Bathrooms were pretty poor and showers needed work that’s for sure.

You should put pictures on your "deluxe tent sites" we were at 133 and would have been touching someone else's tent while at campfire. A little better advertising on that would have been nice. We luckily were able to switch sites because there was one site left in it salvaged our weekend but the site we were originally supposed to be at was ridiculous

Campground was full. Washrooms were not plentiful and not very well maintained. More washroom and shower facilities need at this park.

Enjoyed our time but were disappointed with these things: Shortened hours at the red pine. No more lounge chairs by pool. No floating down the river on the days we were there. Hard to get the firewood going, wasn’t dry enough. Miniature golf not the best…

Trees were beautiful and grounds well-kept, but bathrooms needed upkeep (peeling toilet seats), staff uninformed about cost of amenities, and there was no list of prices. We had to check in to cabin an hour late as it wasn't cleaned yet. When we checked in, tables and floors were still dirty. The only friendly staff was the guy delivering firewood. Everyone else seemed confused and overwhelmed.

The only disappointment was we planned on some of our meals with using the little cafe at the campground, and I received a email the day we left for camping that it would be closed for the duration of our stay . We did not plan for any extra food so we had to go out to eat for several meals. Otherwise very clean and pretty campsite.

My family(kids and grandkids) have been spending time each summer for the past 7 or 8 years. We have enjoyed it ever year. The grandkids love to go there each year and we are booked for next year.. Most of the kids have camp sites but we usually rent one or two cabins and here is where I have a negative comment. We are seeing that the cabins need some TLC. The outside chairs are unusable. $$

The kids love staying here. We participated in crafts, the wagon ride, water slide, pool, bounce pad, treasure hunt, smores and movies. They kids love playing in the park and riding their bikes around. The only thing I would change is having the movie in the field/ park area again. Not as many people can fit in the pavilion and the soda machine was bright and made it hard to see the screen.

If you like kids, this is your place!!! If not - forget it! Mgt needs to ensure dryer vents can be cleaned by the user…..

You have a wonderful staff!! Everyone was really helpful and friendly! The property was always clean . We stayed in a tent for the 1st time in 30 years it was a great experience We will be doing this again for sure! Loved the town of Hayward and the fantastic flea market on Monday! Thanks for the fantastic experience we will be back!!

The bathrooms needed a cleaning and shower heads didn’t give off much water pressure. Everything else was alright for the stay. Neighbors were friendly and staff was excellent and very helpful.

Cabins and grounds were clean and well kept. The futon mattress was thin and uncomfortable but worked fine. The only other side note is the prices for the mining rocks were miss marked. Staff was friendly. We will be back next year!!

We really enjoy the KOA , but this stay was a little off. There were way too many stumps next to our lodge! Now that we got my email fixed I would surely hope I would hear of all the changes before I get there!

We stayed in a tent site with 3 kids and a baby. The site was fine for what we needed and nice and close to the park. The kids had a blast at the playground, in the pool, playing golf and crafting. We had such a good time we will come again!

Couple of oddities. Windows in deluxe cabin would not stay up. Door to bathroom would not lock or even close all the way. Awkward!

We enjoyed our stay. The wood you buy is a bit disappointing as it’s wet, so doesn’t burn very well. Tubing was very fun, pool was great, kids enjoyed the jumping pillow (glad that is included in our stay) and the slide was really fun! (Wish that was included in the stay too)

Booking was easy. The camping and deluxe cabins were as described and had everything we needed. Check in was equally easy. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Brian (manager) and all staff went above and beyond to keep everything in tip-top shape. I was especially impressed they had a dog play area and how well all the dogs in the campground were received and were well behaved!

We have been coming for many years. We have stayed in KL9 for the past 2 years. This year it was extremely dirty when we arrived. Also, the pull-out couch needs to be replaced it is virtually unusable to sleep on. There were only 2 trash bags in the entire cabin we had to ask for more twice. When you have 6 people staying in a cabin for 4-5 nights we need more trash bags, please.

Unfortunately after staying at this KOA for nearly 25 years this was our first year ever not rebooking for the next year Prices have gotten too high, not seeing revenue go back into the park, new minimal tubing schedule left our group of 15 just one chance to tube where in years past we would have tubed 2x a day during our week at the park. Any lastly we experienced rude interactions with staff

Employees are awesome, lots to do but this year no children games which was sad. Movie night was so fun. We’ve been coming here for 13 years and it never disappoints

Love the river tubing, family volleyball games, family water fights. Prices are high for a tent site. People kept walking through our site and left garbage and cigarette butts in our site.

We go every summer and it's one of our families favorite place to go! I've gone every year since I was a kid and now I love seeing my kids enjoy Hayward KOA. We love it here!

I come to Hayward annually to ride MTN bikes and gravel, and just recently bought an EV. Hayward is short on reliable EV charging stations, and the closest supercharger is close to 140mi away. The staff were so gracious to let me charge my car and keep me from having to wait over 24+ hrs while charging on a household 120V plug! Even though I wasn't staying at the campground. I love people who continue to pay it forward!
