The place is in disrepair, Toilets aren't working, no heater in the pool, water slides arent working right, mini golf needs a major update. These oweners now let UTV''s 4 wheelers, and golf carts race all over the campground. I have been campign here since 1994 with my kids and nw my grand kids and have never seen anything degrade and go down hill so fast.

Great campground with lots for the kids to do although we were a bit disappointed the advertised heated pool heat wasn’t working and couldn’t get fixed in the time we were there. Bathrooms were also closed and smelled awful. The ports potties were dirty or out of order. Will stay again next yr, hopefully all is working order.

Rude staff, dirty bathrooms and half were not working. Freezing cold pool like as cold as lake superior! (Heater broke) all of these things have happend in the past old ownerfixed it right away. as always the red pine staff was amazing. But the Office staff not so much. I've been coming here for over 10 years and this will be my family's last time. Very sad to see how far down this place has falle

We look forward to staying here every year. We were disappointed that the Red Pine was closed all day on Tuesday. And also the water in the water slide was so cold that my kids did not want to go down it. We did have an issue with an unsupervised young boy who told us he was an employees son. He spanked our 7 year old on the butt while they were playing on the playground.

The bathrooms were down the whole stay we had to use ports potties without and compensation for that. Everything costs extra money. The bathrooms and showers were disgusting and always dirty. Empty soap dispensers in the bathrooms after the “cleaners” left. Website didn’t mention extra cost for slide. Playground was unimpressive compared to photos.

It was fun but…we had visitors come and my sister had to pay for her 4 month old baby to come in! Then the kids could not do much because the slides were closed and they shut down the trampoline really early so they were paying for all their kids to do nothing. It’s really frustrating.

This was our 13th annual trip. The grandkids love it every year. Having porta potties instead of bathrooms was a bummer. We still miss all the Saturday games in the field, and it gets more expensive to pay for everything while we’re there. BUT the grands were happy.

We have been coming here for years. While we had a great time with our kids and grandkids, the facilities are definitely in grave need of upgrades. The pool did not feel heated and was rough. The mini golf is in terrible condition with rotted wood. The bathroom was dirty and too well used and I would have gone filthy rather than take a shower. Please upgrade. It would be a shame to lose this gem.

The bathrooms were out of order almost the whole time. The machines in the game room were broken. Overall it all seem a little rundown. However, the cafe had good food and prompt delivery and the pool was great.

The campground is old and outdated with many things in need of repair or upgrade. Most frustrating was how unbelievably small the sites are. You are packed on top of each other with no room to park vehicles, no room to sit around a fire pit unless you put it almost in the road or directly next to your neighbors pit. There’s no privacy and the neighbors hookups are literally in your site.

We stayed a couple nights and loved all the events that were organized, the food and grounds. The staff was very helpful and kind, too.

I have been coming to Hayward koa for 22 years now. And lately the quality and cleanliness of everything has gone WAY down hill. The bathrooms at the club house were out of order so there were port-a potties to use. The playground had lots of broken pieces. (like the steering wheel on the truck) The shower houses were filthy and smelt terrible all weekend. The mini golf is rotten and broken.

Your charge is more, that I would guess is because all you have for kids. For others for camping if you’re not staying in your cabins there is no grass. I didn’t want to take my grill or chairs out because of the dirt and it rained so the campground was just a mud hole. Invest in some gravel.

Loved the location and the scenery-- but tent sites with no electric makes it hard for people that have medical equipment-- We would've had a better stay if the bathrooms were working properly and the people next to us respected the quiet times. Store was lacking in grocery supplies also in case people were needing anything.

As full-time RVers for almost 4 years we have stayed at 200 different places in 49 states and 4 Canadian provinces. We have never stayed anywhere with a staff that was more friendly and helpful. Glenda in particular was such a joy. It was only a one night stay but it made an impression on us. Thank you!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Hayward KOA. We found that the gentleman with the dreads had amazing customer service and was a real pleasure to communicate with as he delivered wood and pizza and made the ice cream for our kids was absolutely fabulous experience. The only complaints that we found was that the fire pit was too deep for a fire and mice in the cabin.

The first time staying there about my daughter and her family stays there every year very nice clean exceptionally attentive and helpful staff. Maintenance staff was spot on very courteous and actually were able to engage with people on like most maintenance at most of those places. Very good job I would certainly go there again in fact I'm planning on going back next year

We enjoyed our stay. We brought our two year old on the wagon ride and he got sprayed right in the face 5/6 times from Sasquatch. Previous wagon rides they only used the squirt guns once or twice and it was fine. I thought this was a little much for small kids. My little guy was very very upset.

Campground is “tired” and needs a good update. No TV signal for those that like to watch tv at night. Internet is slow so no streaming but you can pay for faster signal. On-site restaurant was great and reasonably priced! Shame to pay a high nightly rate then have to pay extra for everything but the pool usage. Staff were all wonderful people to talk to. Probably would stay again.

We've been camping at Hayward KOA since 2010 and it never disappoints. We just love this place!!! Close to mountain bike and hiking trails. Also not that far from Hayward which is our favorite town!!!

Great place for families with kids. Lots of activities for them to stay busy. Mattress in our cabin very poor- bed frame so noisy it would wake everyone up every time we turned over. Barely any water coming out of the shower head- tried all the different flow settings. It is camping but for the cost of the cabin - it would’ve been nice to be able to rinse my hair.

Honestly a mixed bag. Bought by private equity firm about 5 years ago. Positive: cabin what we needed for our family, lots of fun kids activities, quiet at night in back of campground Negatives: cosmetics poor, water on the floor in cabin during rainstorm, pool ice cold (lots of audible complaints about this), playground has safety issues, teenage drone users harrassed guests but not remove

Staff was very friendly and funny, plenty of things to do when not raining. The waterslide was amazingly fast. The main bathrooms were shutdown all weekend so I had to drop a star but overall it was a great stay.

Would be helpful to have a photo of the cabin floor plans instead of a diagram. We didn't realize the ceiling was so low in the loft. Also should provide a instruction booklet in each cabin. Didn't find inflatable mattress for futon until day 2. Everything else was very good fir a family vacation especially for the grandkids. Had a nice time.

The staff was helpful and very visible on the grounds if we had a problem. The cabins were clean and well maintained. The restrooms were down by the lobby but felt having the portable bathrooms in that area was a way to accommodate guests. It always felt safe for children to run and play and be kids. We felt this property was cleaner and better maintained than the accommodations at Wisconsin Dells

We love KOA Hayward and have spent a lot of time here. A few things needed more attention, the pool was full of sand on the shallow end, we were told the robot cleaner has been skipping the shallow end, the pool itself could use a good cleaning around the top too. I noticed a lot of cost cutting things that are trying but the prices to camp are some of the highest we've found with the same ameniti

Check in was fabulous, cabin already had the a/c on, it was super hot outside, unpacked and then sat on the porch swing... it had an enormous creek, I love a porch swing. Asked the office to send some WD40, and noone came either of my 2 day stay so i wentvto walmart and bought my own and fixd it myself. Pool area was amazing, there were lots of other activities for all ages. Bathrooms were midern and clean! Would definitely return some day.

We enjoyed our time at the KOA. The campground was very quiet, although we were on the back row and not near a lot of the activities. The bathrooms were pretty clean. The showers were hot and had good water pressure. We did rent tubes, they took us to the beginning and picked us up at the end. Being a holiday weekend it was an overall nice stay.

This is one of our favorite KOA's. They are in the works to do some upgrades with plans to put in a splash pad. You can go tubing down the river (highly recommend). There is a pool, which does tend to get a little over packed. On site pizza and ice cream which is yummy. Always clean & family friendly. Lots to do on the area.
