Bathrooms were always dirty. One camper next to us didn't leash up their dog and it always came to our campsite and peed on our stuff. Not much for teenagers to do. They closed the ice cream shop early in a Friday. Staff was very nice

Internet is terrible & no provider service; Dirty/outdated bathroom; Used to be cleaned more frequently; webs on fans; Pool deck had unpleasant odor; Closed arcade; Closed waterslide; Red Pine was closed Fri 7/31 & only ice cream on 8/1, no food; No Fri night smore time; Tubing rental chaos. No one knew what was going on. Ran 1 hr late. No rope to tie tubes together; No outdoor movie;

Got there our cabin wasn't cleaned. Delivered wood to us we didn't order, it was for the cabin next door. Red Pine very limited hours. No tubing which is part of why we come.Decided to leave early on Tuesday night, office closed at 5:00, ridiculous, had to chase a golf cart around the campground to return the key. You need a lock box. We've been there 20+ times over the years..won't be back.

Our stay was simply fantastic, the staff was helpful and friendly. The planed activities for kids and adults were well planned, and entertaining. The pool and jumping pillow, were clean well maintained, we are looking forward to what replaces the water slide. The campers we met were friendly. We have already booked our return trip for next year.

Very friendly staff and very reasonably priced. My only complaint is it wasn’t kept very clean but it was made clear that were very short staffed. Bathrooms were gross. Clogged toilets and trash overflowing.

We have stayed at the Hayward KOA for well over a decade, but have not visited in the last five years. I was very disappointed upon our return to your campground. Our cabin was dirty, and the up keep of the grounds and amenities were subpar compared to the past. I am sorry to say that we will not be returning to this campground as our kids always loved coming here while growing up.

Disappointed in cleanliness of cabins and seemed to be a bit of disrepair. Many amenities were not available like the water slide. Tubing was so booked we ended up buying our own tubes instead of paying for tubing. For the price excepted better.

Very disappointed the office closes at 5 during the week. There was a time I needed ice and couldn't get it. The ice cream part was only open on the weekends. This place has gone down hill. We have been here in the past and loved it then. The pool was either cold or too warm . the grounds need tending badly. I wish I was different because we really like the town. Workers too were not overly friend

We have been coming to the Hayward KOA for 9 summers. This year, it was noticeably less campers. The grounds were not well maintained as they have been in the past. Our kids are older so we didn’t do any crafts but they enjoyed the DJ both nights. The big slide has been closed permanently, sad but probably for the best. Bathrooms were clean, shower water was warm, the staff is always friendly.

The amenities were either non existent or lacked maintenance. The café wasn't really operational. The sights were so tight that it would be hard to safely have a campfire---too close to next camper. People making noise until 1 am and pot smoking going on in front of my grandkids. Lots of drunk parents at the pool. Not really our crowd

Although we appreciated being checked in early, when we got to the cabin it had not been cleaned. We cleaned it ourselves but did tell the front desk. They took a very tiny bit off our bill. We had heard so many good things over the years about the KOA, but were not impressed. It’s definitely family friendly and the staff were very friendly. Needs some grounds and pool work.

Hayward KOA has been an annual tradition for our family for around 10 years and we always love coming back every year. This year, something was definitely off. When we arrived, we found that the arcade and waterslide were no more. During our stay, we found that there must have been short staffing as bathrooms were dirty, the Red Pine was barely open, and activities were canceled or ended early.

Hayward KOA was mostly fantastic apart from our site. We thought we had paid for a site that backs up to the woods. Instead, we got a site that in our opinion shouldn’t be a site. It was split funky. So, the usable part of the site and the fire pit were on the opposite side of our camper which also had their giant lit up KOA sign on it. Which was bright and obnoxious at night. Avoid 166 if you c

Bringing several children with and thinking you have food options available only to find out the cafe/restaurant was closed nearly the entire time was extremely disappointing. When they finally did open there was a sign that said coffee only. You missed out on a ton of revenue from all people out tubing with me that were also upset there were no food options. Please do better.

Water slide we were told not working comment was “ what do you expect for a 68 year old slide.” The sites electrical and water are placed wrong on our spot that caused us to face the people next door to us with our picnic tables literally 3 feet apart and they had 2 Doberman pinchers. We were a little disappointed this year. Cabin upstairs was dirty and bed room had spiders with visible webs. We missed the pool table and air hockey.

The miniature golf is junk, they took away the arcade, the lawn needs to be mowed, they took the big skid away, the split rail fence needs to be replaced, the staff were not that friendly

Very nice as always. But two concerns. Don't like the bathroom doors being removed and the wifi was awful. Glad I didn't have a work emergency that I would need it for.

On a 90 degree day the pool was heated to 90 degrees. It was like hot tub water was coming out of the pool jets. Also, the lady working there spent and hour with a leaf blower right near the pool creating a less then pleasant experience. The next day she took away all the water toys that people left behind that other kids and adults were using for fun. We were never told a check out time.

We had a great time at the Hayward KOA. We found the staff to be friendly, and the campground itself is great. We had full hook-ups. The sights are level and well spaced. Everything was very clean. The pool was a bit chilly, but nice and large. The store and cafe were well stocked. The town of Hayward is just 5 minutes or so away. A great place for your family to spend a few days -or more!

Wonderful staff, clean and heated pool, plenty to do in the area. The bathrooms however were in need of service all 4 days we were there. Hair on the walls of the shower, empty soap dispensers and just overall unkept, which was the only negative to our stay this time around.

Cabin wasn’t very clean a razor from previous renter left in shower. Bath mat dirty. Sandy in spots. Cobwebs in corners. Bummed no water slide or arcade.

We come here every summer and it’s because this KOA has the best amenities and family friendly events for our family! We feel safe with the KOA staff and love that we can request our certain beloved site! 10/10 recommend!

Some of the amenities aren't available throughout the week. And I've been there many times in the past and the cleanliness of the bathroom wasnt quite the same. Im not sure if its cause I stayed mon-thurs or what.

The stay was different this year than when we have stayed in the past, but it was not bad by any means. You can tell you are short staffed, but every staff member that is there cares about the campground and the experiences of the guests! Looking forward to many more stays

This KOA is very poorly run! The bathroom (especially the men’s) was very dirty the whole time I was there. The showers had huge spiderwebs hanging from the corners. The cabins table was sticky and I had to clean it before even putting my stuff in there. Overall very poorly run, everything looked run down/ dirty.

I’ve camped here for 30+ years, but this visit felt disappointing. My request to be placed near family was overlooked, weekday office hours were very limited, bathroom privacy and cleanliness were concerning, the pool was cold, and the waterslide and hayrides were unavailable. The campground felt tired and mostly closed during the week. I hope it improves.

it's a beautiful area and Hayward is a great place. It's a spot that accommadates a number of people in our group, that's why we continue to come. Downside: KL2 cabin, the futon has got to go. calling that a bed is stretching reality and it's a very uncomfortable couch. We are exploring options since the price is fairly steep for the quality we get. Love the AC. were you short staffed this year?

Stay was fine. The wagon ride was terrible. It was not advertised anywhere that it would be a "wet" wagon ride. So the 5 small children we had in our group in the ride were literally terrified, especially after being directly spayed in the face. The girl in charge was rude afterwards too. We will go to Treeland next year due to her incompetence. Not the same place as last time we went there.

Third year visiting Hayward KOA, and the decline is disappointing. Dirty campsites, overflowing trash, unclean bathrooms, limited amenities, and higher prices made this our worst stay yet.The wagon ride was especially upsetting, with staff repeatedly spraying young children with water guns and using a frightening Bigfoot character.We'd love to return, but major improvements in management.

We come every year (because it’s tradition) but this year the kids were really sad about the arcade and water slide being gone and the candy section in the store being much less. Also, there seemed to be medium sized bike shortage for rent. The ornament craft was fun and the dance party. Overall I think the amenities need a refresh and I think all the open camping spots speak for themselves.

You advertise the waterside is open only to arrive and it has been closed for years. You charge for mini golf but you cant even clean off the the leaves and twigs on each hole. The pool is filled with dirt . Bathrooms and tables are never clean. Go in and ask the front desk about the Christmas activities and I get the reply "I have no clue, that's not our deal"

We come every year and this year seemed really run down! Not taken care of or up to standards! We did talk to employees and found out why so we totally understand why and hopefully next year it will be in better shape! I was really upset the mural in the bathroom building was painted over because my cousin painted it 20 plus years ago! See ya next year

Had such a positive experience here a week ago when we were on our way to our vacation, we intentionally routed our way home to stay here again. Excellent people in the store, very knowledgeable and helpful.

Fantastic KOA! Great activities for kids and the whole family. Sites are always clean and well maintained. Bathrooms are also well-kept. Friendly, helpful staff.

Sites are a little narrow, you feel like you are camping on top of your neighbors. The KOA it self is nice place. The facilities are fairly well kept but are showing their age. The staff were very nice and helpful and Michelle and her family were a bright spot. Hope the KOA knows what they lucked into those folks.
