Im sorry to rate so low, however the campground has declined significantly since the last time I was there. We were not told that the waterside was closed, the pool was closed all day until after 5pm on Saturday!!! The showers and bathrooms are disgusting! The miniature golf is wore out. I am just sad that this will probably be our last time coming here. I asked for a refund, no reply from u

This is absolutely the worst KOA we have ever stayed at. The layout of the campground is terrible. You are stacked in there so tight. Customer service was horrible we got there they had us in a 30amp site when I had booked exactly the right 50amp site and then all the lady could keep saying was I’m sorry but don’t have any other sites available which was not true because they had several sites

Great atmosphere. Pool was down for a day. Showers are pretty run down and burners in outdoor kitchen didnt work plus water leaked from one of the sinks.

Always love coming to Hayward KOA for our annual camping trip. While it's a great campground, it's definitely time for some much needed repairs here and there. Nonetheless, plan to be be back in 2027!

We've been camping at the Hayward KOA for 32 years. Since it has been sold to a group and has a manager, it is slipping. There was dog poop here & there, the washer was broken & not tagged, and the bathrooms were dirty. We had neighbors blasting music way past quiet time. No one drives around anymore to check. I called in at midnight to see if I could report. Had to leave a message. No response.

VERY disappointed that the ice cream place was not open. VERY disappointed the game room was closed. Disappointed that the air hockey was gone. Disappointed the water slides were closed. So much missing for the same price. Our bathroom smelled of urine but it was the shower curtain and liner. Old and stunk bad. The futon is old and uncomfortable. The office had way less to shop for.

Loved the amenities offered at this KOA. It had all that we needed. The staff stayed on top of what was needed. Although staff in golf carts were the only ones stirring up dust by driving too fast. Campers followed the speed limit.

We stayed during the week, so it wasn't that busy. We did not use the bathroom or showers in the campground. The pool was warm. The bathroom by the pool was not clean at all.

Our first time there. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The mattress was not the best. Crunching noise when you moved around. Staff were friendly and helpful. The pool warm and big. We would come back.

The property is a nice size and has a substantial amount of trees for shade. The buildings and laundry facility are in dire need of updating and repair. I didn't see a lot of pride in ownership.

In a slow week, why stack campers next to each other? Campground was approximately 25% full yet new campers were put right next to us. To make matters worse, the campers next to us had 3 dogs in a pen that barked at our every move. We eventually moved but situation didn’t have to occur in the first place!

Overall, it was okay. Definitely geared towards kids having a great time, and my kid certainly did. Staff was very friendly, which is great. Unfortunately, the water slide was gone, and the arcade was gone. Camp sites were extremely cramped. Several staff were zipping around on golf carts like their lives depended on it. This created several close calls with other carts and even worse, kids.

It’s a pleasant roadside campground. We’ve never stayed at a KOA. It was expensive, but it was convenient. There was a lot of stuff for kids but most of it looked a little in need of maintenance and a refresh. The pool looked nice.

A very nice clean and fun KOA, we had no issues and it is a well kept and considering how big it is that is what makes coming back and excellent idea. We will stay again.

Always LOVE our traditional stay at the Hayward KOA! Some things we noticed: -The pool was very, very dirty and cloudy. That was very gross. -We wish there was a "lights off" rule at night. These extensive LED lights and "porch" lights on these newer campers are very bright and shine right into our camper all night. -We wish there was an activity every night as we prefer camping M-Th.

Very dirty and dusty. Our party had sites and cabins the cabin floors we’re covered in dirt also paid $19 a person to go tubing. We did more walking than we did tubing down the river very disappointing. I would not recommend the tubing. They also had a lot of workers driving golf carts around didn’t seem to be doing much of anything other than creating dust throughout the whole campground.

The pool is our favorite part, along with the playground, mini-golf, and jumping pillow! We appreciated the kind hospitality and family friendly activities.

The campsite was very spacious and clean.No mosquitoes was a big plus and the people in the store were very friendly and helpful, especially Dean! We will definitely be returning.

I like this campground. We come here once or twice a year. I think they are trying to get it looking better. It's an older campground and it dies nee some repairs but maybe with the right owners or care takers it will come around. Reviews can be so harsh sometimes. Our experience this time around was wonderful. It was packed so maybe thats why.

Be aware this KOA is All Dirt, skinny sites full of pine trees, we barely fit in our pull thru site towing a vehicle. This should be a Journey, certainly not a Holiday. And for how large the area is, they managed to put everyone on top of each other. Glad this was a one and done.

It was really to bad the water slides where closed, the mini golf needs a huge face lift, also new putters, 90% of them where bent or broken. The campsite it self is amazing.

Disappointed about the water slide being closed. Pool was so cold kids couldn’t stand to use it but heat was turned on/ up the next day. Tried to get food at Timber wagon but was never open. Tried tubing but also not available only during weekend. Bathrooms were clean:)

This KOA is always a happy place. The staff is friendly and the grounds are well maintained. It seems to be a gathering spot for extended families and reunions and, as a single senior, it is a wonderful to experience the joy of family & friends swimming, biking, dog walking, & gathering around campfires.

One night stay in our motorhome was nice. Our boys enjoyed the playground, pool and jumping pillow. They wanted to do mini golf but the course needed some up keep.

So much has changed. We’ve been bringing our grandkids for 13 years. Now there is no water slide, no arcade, no yard games, everything is dirtier. In the kitchen two outlets and one stovetop don’t work. The store is now a tourist trap instead of fun things for kids. It’s probably time for us to find a new place for our annual camping tradition. Very disappointed in the new owners.

Great older campground but way too much dirt and rocks for my liking. Sites are narrow and have no grass. The tall pines did provide lots of shade. Pool was good but could use a good cleaning. Families appear to live this campground. Lots of children having a great time

We loved our deluxe cabin! The staff was helpful and polite, and the grounds and facilities were very clean. A few important things were broken (both pool gate locks, bedroom & bathroom locks in our cabin KL9). We were also disappointed that both the waterslide and the arcade were gone. We look forward to their replacements.

Our deluxe cabin had so many flies even in the refrigerator. There wasn’t a fly swatter. The floor was dirty like it wasn’t cleaned. Bathroom sink was dirty. We didn’t read the part where linens were not supplied so we showed up without any bedding:(. We also don’t understand why you couldn’t have a pet in the cabins because the floors are linoleum and no different then the other cabins

The floor in the "Delux" cabin was very dirty. The bottoms of our feet were black even after trying to wash the floor several times. The beds were terrible.

It was nice, for sure. A little misleading that all promo materials and the app still state there’s a water slide and arcade- our kids were very disappointed to find out that’s not the case. Bathroom near the pool- 1 soap dispenser was out our entire stay, none of the showers would turn on (the knobs seemed very broken), but no signage. Other showers were clean, nice to have. This campground is very dated. The pull through spaces are too small for a big rig or fifth wheel. The sites are so small that campers park their cars out into the drive lane. We left on a Saturday morning when the campground was full and it took 30 minutes with the help of everyone around us to maneuver from our site. i was impossible to pull ahead because of trucks blocking the drive lane.

Family gathering. You were accommodating to put us all together, thank you! One thing that bothered me was the very dirty garbage can in the woman’s bathroom! Needs to either be cleaned or replaced! Also the showers had debris in the corners that should be cleaned out.

The "delux" cabin was not delux at all. I was with my husband and 85 year old mother. The bunks were horrible. I had to double up the mattresses for my poor mom but she was still miserable. It was cramped and very uncomfortable. The website should clearly note the thinness of the mattresses on the bunks and only suitable for adults. The full size bed was super loud, annoying. T.V didnt work.

No upkeep at all. Tables peeling paint and very rough, slide broken for last few years, I’ve cream shop closed at 8 while a dancing event for kids was going offf until 9, no community fire pit ever. Staff was very nice and helpful. Kids looked to be enjoying themselves very much.

I don't like to give bad reviews, we love to camp at KOA. The reason I gave it a "3" is because the spots were so tight that we couldn't even put out our awning and the pool was not heated and the kids did not want to swim. There was a hose running constantly so it made the water very cold. Swimming is a big part of the vacation! T.J.H.

Had such a positive experience here a week ago when we were on our way to our vacation, we intentionally routed our way home to stay here again. Excellent people in the store, very knowledgeable and helpful.

Fantastic KOA! Great activities for kids and the whole family. Sites are always clean and well maintained. Bathrooms are also well-kept. Friendly, helpful staff.

Sites are a little narrow, you feel like you are camping on top of your neighbors. The KOA it self is nice place. The facilities are fairly well kept but are showing their age. The staff were very nice and helpful and Michelle and her family were a bright spot. Hope the KOA knows what they lucked into those folks.
