The grass and weeds around the campground was not cut, too tall helps keep the ticks on the sites ,should be mowed more frequently I don't think they were mowed at all yet this season.

This KOA was very good and we didn't lack anything it all. The staff was very friendly and attentive to campers needs. That said, the infrastructure / amenities in this campground need attention and appear to need some additional reinvestment as many areas were looking a bit tired.

POS: Great location, except for some of the highway noise. Loved all the pine trees w/ no underbrush. Amenities were great, although the water slide was not operational. Great place for families with young children. NEG: Sites are VERY close together so little privacy. We did not even open our shades on one side of our trailer. Showers could use a good steam cleaning.

Beautiful pool and amenities. The cabins need lots of help, there no blinds in bedrooms, at 5am, it’s so bright you can’t sleep. The internet/Tv has been down for 3+ years. The furnace shouldn’t be under kids bunk beds, EXTREMELY loud, and not safe. Try sleeping in there and when it goes off at 2am it’s scary. living room couches are worn out, need new ones.fridge is huge, but no stove to

I arrived with my mother on May 23rd. My son and his family were in site 121 with their camper. I was assigned to a cabin ways from them. My daughter inlaw went back to the office. Eric helped get us switched to a cabin, kitty corner from their site. What a nice gesture. My mom uses a walker and it made for a much nicer stay. We will be back and Kudos to the staff. Well ran campground. Thank You!

Seems like new ownership is figuring things out finally. We had a great memorial day weekend recently. Staff is friendly and helpful! While somethings needed work, it was early in the season and things were clean. Sites are definitely small and tight with a bigger rig but with all the activities and areas for our group its not often we are at the camper. Overall was a good experience.

The Visit was not up to the usual standard that we have seen at the Hayward KOA. Grounds needed work (mowing), number of water faucet's throughout the campgrounds were leaking. Talked to the new manager Travis, Got a better understanding of where priorities were since he came on board. Was never impressed with the previous Management Team, never once stopped to talk, Travis did on our 2nd Day

We enjoyed our stay at Hayward KOA. There are a lot of fun activities and the amenities are very nice. A ton of sights. The campground is extremely dated. There also needs to be more attention to the grounds with upkeep and maintenance. Too many trees impede the ability of large rv’s to accessibility. A holiday rating should be reflected throughout the campground.

The stay was great! The only complaint we had was that the dog park grass could have been mowed. The grass was very high.

The staff was phenomenal, so accommodating and friendly. The kiddos loved the pool, jump pad, tractor ride and playground. The cabin was a bit dusty, windows and screens need a good cleaning. Grass wasn’t mowed. Overall it was a good stay, but felt a bit dirty and unkept.

We generally frequent Hayward KOA five times a year the sites were not mowed or raked. The café was not open when it was supposed to be pool was not open on Friday. They took away the arcade. They took away the pool table and air hockey. Also took away the waterside. The place is understaffed bathrooms were out of toilet paper. We’ll probably never be back.

My parents and family have been going to the Hayward KOA for over 20 years. This was the first year I saw it so empty on our memorial weekend trip. The last few years we have watched the place decay. Upkeep seems to be the last thing on the owners mind. Mini golf course boards are rotted out, water slide looks like it hasn't run in years, grounds weren't mowed. It just looks run down.

Everything about the campground was great, nice and clean, amenities were as advertised and staff was beyond friendly, only issue we had was older kids (old enough to know better) were rough housing on the jumping pillow and kids that weren’t involved in the game were either getting push off the pillow or other bigger kids were landing on them, ruined the jumping pillow for my young kids

Empty early in the season, and needing to be cleaned up a bit - I get it, it’s early. But piles of pine needles! Checkin was pleasant - hospitable hosts. Paid for best pull through, was disappointed on two aspects: gravel and not level concrete, and the electrical hookup was passenger, front right, whereas normal pull through hookups are driver side rear. Stayed late in the season. Not much going on, but could see it would be a fun place for kids. Bathrooms very old, but functional. Great staff, very helpful. Good store for convenience .

We really did enjoy our stay at the Hayward WI KOA! With our two pups, we had the Paw Pen site! It was great! This paw pen is the greatest one we have ever come across! It is enormous, with room for the pups to run in, and also with umbrella picnic table, and adirondak chairs! It was so well maintained and clean!!!! Thank you so much, as it was a great highlight at the long travel days end!

Restrooms had toilet stalls boarded shut, picnicking tables rough peeling paint, and overall cleanliness was lacking. I have stayed at this KOA at least eight times in past years and it was a great campground that we enjoyed and recommended to many people. Saddly we will not be returning in the next few years.

Some reviews state that this KOA is in bad state of repair. We find quite the opposite to be true. Laundry and bath facilities are in good state of repair and clean. The grounds are very nice and there is a crew working continuously to keep it that way. Office staff is super helpful and friendly. We stayed in a patio site with a 33’ camper where we had multiple hook up options. Awesome stay!

Very clean and well maintained grounds. The gals in the office were personable and very helpful. Having people like these makes your stay worthwhile!

Good for convenience during Cheq 40, but the bathroom situation wasn't great this year with the portapoties. Also, the shower in the bath house near the tubing area has no where to hang anything. The site we had uses shared water and power with the next site over so we had to be closer to those neighbors for power and water to reach since it was a back in site leaving half our site unused.

They closed on Sunday apparently at 3 or before, I had no idea, So no wood sales. No people no wood. Campground was dead except odd campers with dogs/kids & the class C that took 3 sites w: his Jeep & gave both a full auto detail, I could not get outside wood as iagainst policy no fire for me $80+ patio site no wood no cooking in my fire pit Steaks out. Bathrooms too gross to shower. WiFi off crap

We love the Hayward KOA. We have stayed there for 35 years. My only concern is at the KL9 fire pit being part of the concrete slab. It is not easily seen. My daughter fell in the fire pit while carrying groceries in. She was not seriously injured but did get hurt. There was no fire. Needs to not be there or be more obvious.

Was after Labor Day and campground was empty. Was hoping there would still be more people there. Weather was cold so didn't even get to enjoy the new chairs or have a fire. Coming earlier next year.

It was our first stay at the KOA but it was a good one. We’ll likely be back as it provided an overall great value for what we needed.

What a great stay! The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed everything there was to do! The kids enjoyed the pool and had a great time with all the activities of the weekend! The Olympics were a hit for sure and so family friendly! Good stay from start to finish. Our first stay and we'll be back!

This has to be one of the nicest KOA's ive stayed at for a while. They offer so many things for kids to do. The stuff and prompt and friendly. Lots of extra services offered. Dont miss smores on Friday nights and the outdoor movie. Travis has done an amazing job. Keep it up. We will definitely be back.
