Enjoyed our stay at this campground. It's within driving distance to Freeport, Portland, boothbay harbor. It's very clean, has spacious sites, lots of green space, fenced dog park. Staff is great. There seem to be a lot of amenities although we were there off season so most were closed. I would recommend this campground.

The patio site we were assigned was beautiful, spacious and close to all the activities. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our 12-day stay. There were many wonderful activities and events during the Labor Day Weekend and we enjoyed them tremendously. We hope to return to this KOA in the future.

We had a nice site. The dog park is a nice size for large breeds such as ours; Golden Retrievers. They have ample space to stretch their legs and run.

Good Location to go to LL Bean mall , however 1/2 mile of unpaved uneven road going into location . Nice friendly staff and looks like they had a bunch of things for kids to do . overall would stay there again

Just spent several days to get away, not far from home. Perfect location to get to the ocean as well as family. I had my grandchildren come for a day and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves! Definitely going to come back.

Park was farther out than we expected but the facilities were nice. Office staff were friendly. The sites we were at, in the open middle, were close together but manageable. Looked like lots of people live there year round.

Wonderful spot in the trees to really give you the Maine effect. Showers are older but super clean- with hot water to make them perfect. Had a great time here.

We enjoyed a quiet stay in early September. The large dog park, fully shaded, was especially appreciated for our two large breed dogs. It is perfectly located to Freeport, Brunswick, Portland, and beyond.

Staff & Band were great. We had site C10 next to seasonal campers. They were loud and smoked Pot all day long. The E section of the campground is like an old camper graveyard with several run-down campers. Lots of junk on those sites. We never saw the bathrooms being cleaned. Lots of kids screaming on bikes, even after dark.

Have to approach the dump station by going around and heading back toward the camping area.

A very nice and clean KOA. Staff are very personable.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a perfect getaway for me and my family and we enjoyed every second of it. I also liked that my request was fulfilled by not being by the playground because every other campground I went to I requested “not by the playground”. I was very happy with the location we got. I will recommend if I hear anybody wants to go camping in Maine.

Quiet, relaxing, peaceful. We were there the week before Labor day and it was very nice. We dont have kids so we dont know about the pool, but everything else was very nice.

Once the road construction is completed, the instructions to the campground might need to be rewritten. Brown road is not very big rig friendly. Very nice campground.

We had a good weekend. Of course the weather helped that. I was surprised that the pool was not heated but realize the cost.Other New england camp grounds have heated pools. Loved going to the pavilion for s"mores and ice cream with all the little ones.

If you want a relaxing, quiet campground with no frills this is your place. The owners are so kind and friendly. The location is great and the campground is clean. We have come here multiple times to spend time with family in Freeport.

We were here 2 night but had noisy neighbors who used their site from edge to edge and their things ended up in our site!

We drove to Nebraska and back to Maine, staying at KOA campgrounds whenever possible. KOA, is, by far, the better ones to stay at when compared to other campgrounds. The Durham/Freeport campground was one of the better KOA ones with a beautiful secluded site in the trees. We definitely will keep it in mind to stay at again.

We travel around the U.S., Mexico and Canada with our 5 dogs. We usually seek out KOAs because we feel welcome with that many dogs and there usually aren't any ridiculous limits on how many dogs you can have. We were on our way to Canada and were so happy to find this campground was open as many in the northeast are not open yet in mid-April. We felt very welcome at this campground with our 5 canine children. We came in after hours - our map and envelope were waiting for us on the board. Easy to find our spot. Nice, big dog park.
