Always a pleasure to stay here! Grounds are well maintained. Plenty of areas to walk our 2 dogs.

Beautiful camper ground. Large sites for big rigs. Awesome dog park the biggest I’ve seen at a KOA & we have stayed at over 40. Staff was great. VERY close to Freeport & the LL Bean. Nice pool, a cute donkey & couple horses. Also a LARGE field for the kids to play in. Would stay again if passing through the area.

Another “Holiday” park, apparently from the plethora of activities for young children. This is an absolutely huge KOA, yet they don’t escort you to your sites like most other members of the franchise. If you’ve got a bunch of kids and need to keep them busy this is probably a great spot for you. But a retired couple for one night, blah. Our wooded site WAS gorgeous but far from anything t

This would be an OK campground at about half the price. I had just come from a wonderful place in Connecticut where I paid less than this KOA. This KOA’s dirt streets with potholes that could swallow a Class C, unlevel sites, non potable water, and limited amenities were a disappointment in comparison. I also did not like being told at check-in I had to upgrade from a site I could fit in.

Very nice, clean and well maintained facility. Only 5 miles to Freeport. Portland and Bath are also in easy driving distance.

My only wish was that there was a little more undergrowth between wooded sites. A nice place to stay!

Very clean. Cutest store items with reasonable rates. Only thing that was sort of negative is that site need a mow. Other then that awesome. Will come again

ADA bathrooms were locked and the ramp to them was overgrown. We had to leave early in the morning for my wife to use a restroom that was usable. The men’s room had no paper towels overnight. There was also no enforcement of quiet hour rules as people were extremely loud until after midnight. The campsite itself was nice and large, sadly the electric hookup was only 30 amp with no 20amp.

Clean and friendly

Convenient location near Yarmouth and far enough away from major roads so was very quiet at night. Site was level, with reasonable space between campsites next to us. Good area to walk dogs. Bathroom and shower facilities were clean and in good shape. We would stay here again if in the area.

Very welcoming. Nice big campground, very clean great place.

We enjoyed our stay. There was a lot of dust with the dirt roads. We had to wipe out the washer and dryer before using them. There was 'yuck' in the gasket and on the lint filters.

Definitely one of the cleanest and most well run KOA’s that we stayed at. This is our second year here. Most definitely will be coming back next!

We had a great time at the campground. We brought our 4 y.o. grandson with us for his first time camping and he was so excited with everything. He had a great time on the playground. He heard the train coming around for rides but we didn't make it soon enough and the owner saw he was disappointed and he started it up again and took him and a couple of others on a trip around and that was so nice.

The place is off the beaten track therefore very quiet(no road noise) yet close enough to Freeport and Portland to be able to enjoy their attractions easily. It is clean, the owner is friendly, a very pleasant person to talk with, takes pride in his property and business and it shows.

Friendly staff, great campground! We stay there every year on our way up to Deer Isle.

We booked a woodsy tent site for mid-week with our truck camper and had a fantastic stay! It helped that the weather was perfect and we were tired after climbing a mountain. The bathrooms were nice and clean and the showers were hot. It's a peaceful, quiet place with a rustic, old fashioned feel.

We arrived late but our check-in packet was waiting for us. The map was rather confusing, in the dark, but once we found our spot, it was beautiful. Will definitely keep it in mind to stay at again.

Very nice campground. Very friendly staff

We came with a group of 6 other campers. A total of 16 people. Campground was clean and quiet (even though there were kids and dogs playing). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots were big, some were wooded and some were out in the open.

Nice campground, but no cable and internet didn't work most of the time. We like to watch local news and weather. Miss the days when campground offered cable. At least it was reliable.

It was great it was quiet lots to do it was clean will come again the only problem we had was the wi-fi

The checknin was wuick, the store staff was friendly, the campsite has large play areas for the kids, and dogs, the wooded campsites area just quite enough and still close to everything.

Great campground with nice, spacious sites. Playground area was beautiful and in full view of many sites which was great for us. The pool looked nice but was never opened (we were told it would be but the weather wasn't great anyway). Loved the wagon/train rides and crafts! The horse stables on site were a cool bonus for the kids. Would probably stay there again, in a different site.

Great place. Pizza was wonderful

As usual with KOA campgrounds, the facility was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Was a little farther from Freeport than I had expected but that is on me. It was Father's Day weekend and they had a number of activities. The brick pizza oven they had fired up on Friday night was impressive and the fire pit in the pavilion looked very inviting.

We drove to Nebraska and back to Maine, staying at KOA campgrounds whenever possible. KOA, is, by far, the better ones to stay at when compared to other campgrounds. The Durham/Freeport campground was one of the better KOA ones with a beautiful secluded site in the trees. We definitely will keep it in mind to stay at again.

We travel around the U.S., Mexico and Canada with our 5 dogs. We usually seek out KOAs because we feel welcome with that many dogs and there usually aren't any ridiculous limits on how many dogs you can have. We were on our way to Canada and were so happy to find this campground was open as many in the northeast are not open yet in mid-April. We felt very welcome at this campground with our 5 canine children. We came in after hours - our map and envelope were waiting for us on the board. Easy to find our spot. Nice, big dog park.
