We stayed in the deluxe cabin. It was fully stocked with bedding, towels, dishes, appliances, and cooking utensils. We had our own shower attached to our unit. The grill had a full tank of propane, and the patio furniture was clean and in good shape. The store was nice and the staff was friendly. They had some trouble getting ice. We used the pool and it was good sized and clean.

everything is always awesome! From the initial booking to the checkout. My only suggestion would be to use 2-ply toilet paper in my bathroom, and also a plug-in nightlight (I forgot to bring one) and at age 80, I often make a few trips to the bathroom during the night! (smiles) Have my reservation booked for 8/2024. The office personnel were absolutely wonderful....efficient, courteous!

We have stayed at your campground almost every year for for the last 15 years. We love to explore Maine and your campground serves as our home away from home while in Maine. The friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of everything is to be commended! Every need and whim has been accommodated without a problem. Well maintained property. Friendly staff, very efficient office for needed supplies. We thought there were pony rides, so the kids were a bit disappointed.

My husband and puppy came down for a weekend getaway from northern Maine. Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean facilities. Our only issue was that we purchased three bags of firewood when we arrived. They remained unopened, as we weren’t able to use them during our stay. When we asked for a refund on the unused wood, our request was denied.

We had a great time, but the toilet paper was so thin I couldn't even pull the weight of the roll with the paper and it shredded constantly. The hand towels were the same. It was substantially thinner paper than any other KOA I have stayed at. It was disappointing because the rest of the site was great!

The beds were not made (in other KOAs when I've paid for this type of accommodations, the beds were made), not big deal but a huge annoyance after a long day of travel. The office closed at 4pm which is ridiculous. There was no place to get ice or wood after 4 once we returned to the campground. We would not stay here again.

Lifelong camper, 1st time glamper. We’ve stayed here in tents, trailers, & motor homes, so when carpenter ants threatened our family reunion location I decided to give glamping a try. It was a huge success- we had a bingo winner, struck it rich at Big Skye Mine, & our group’s “non-camper” told everyone: “same time, same place, next year!”. Excellent experience! We stayed in a cabin. The bathhouse was clean. The staff were super friendly. We stayed over 4th of July weekend and enjoyed the pancake breakfast. Spacious and lovely!

We had a great 5 night stay in one of the cabins, nothing fancy but it kept us dry on the rainy days and there was plenty of room for sleeping. My children especially enjoyed meeting other kids at the playground and pool. The pool was nice on the hot days my only issue would be the older kid who kept dropping F Bombs around the young kids,let’s just say she was famous with the other parents I me

Nice sized site. Plenty of activities. Staff was pleasant. Neighbors were awful; loud & inconsiderate. Not KOA's fault, but wish something more could have been done to have them knock it off. Was a bit disappointed there was no pizza that weekend but the staff explained why, which helped.

We stayed 4 nights in a two room cabin. It was Pete t for our needs. Camp staff and owner were very friendly and accommodating. We loved it.

This was my third year at the campground, and it was better than ever! Everything always looks so clean and well maintained. The activities are fun and entertaining, and high interest. We participated in the family-style meal, and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. We already booked our stay for next year!!

Check in was fast & Friendly. I stayed at a cabin and it was very clean and the frig, microwave and heater all worked. The bed was better than I thought it would be and I slept great. It was very quiet at night. Everything was great and I will return.

We stayed in the dome delux cabin and the inside was nice but a lot of cob webs and the 2 heaters couldn’t heat the cabin enough for it to stay warm. We stayed in oct and inside never got above 60 during the day and 58 at night.

Appreciated how clean everything was. Did a camping cabin with my dogs. The cleanser? Smell was very strong the first night/gave me a headache. The heater perfect for the nights. Bathroom/shower were nice. The fenced in dog area great. Will be back at least once next year!

We bought charcoal and firewood from the store and both had problems lighting. The firewood was not totally dry and, was split into thin pieces that when they did light the wood burned up in 15 minutes. The charcoal grill was leaning backward and unable to cook eggs on it. Charcoal never lit (3 bags). Otherwise, it was very clean and organized. The cabins are in a beautiful spot.

We had such a great stay at the Freeport/Durham KOA. The dome cabin that we stayed in was so comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed to cook and even entertain our local friends who came to visit for the day. You thought of everything that I forgot, including a corkscrew! Your location is perfect for us, and it was our anniversary weekend. We'll be back!

Enjoyable. Stayed in a dome dwelling with bathroom. It is obvious the owners care for the property, but some TLC to fixed dwellings is needed. This is a great campground if you have children and like close quarters camping/tenting/RV living. The only drawback for us was neighbors with a child often crying when not getting their way. The tantrums occurred often throughout the day.

I always have a great stay at this KOA. It’s very clean, very well maintained and the staff are wonderful. The activities mentioned on the website were great. I would highly recommend this campground to everyone. It is very well centrally located to tons of activities and points of interest.

Didn't like the price of a Dome cabin for what it was. Full kitchen had pots and pans but no stove or oven to use them in. Had a nice area, across from the showers and camper graveyard. Have stayed at other KOA lodging, being campers as well as cabins and never had my linens and towels in a bag on the bed, they had always been in place...lines on beds and towels in bathroom with tents 10 fT away.

Very nice staff! The roads could use some TLC …..probably just worn out from a busy season! Campsites are spacious but the rv sites that begin with B have a quarry right behind them and the big trucks begin at 7:00 am! A little loud! Great gift shop!

This is an older KOA but is still well kept. The people there are friendly and helpful. The sites were very level and well spaced. The location was central to the locations we wanted to see. The Freeport area is very nice with some quaint areas to see.
