We got in at 5:10 pm and the office was closed. We had already made our reservation so that was OK. We just thought it was early. She told us the office did not open until 10:00 in the morning which we thought was late especially if we had needed something before we left. Other than those two things it seemed clean , lots of shade trees

What a beautiful campground. We actually stumbled upon it last minute on our way to Florida. We loved it so much we went back for a few days on the way home. The setting is gorgeous in the trees, tiered spots, nicely kept. The owners take great pride in the park and it’s so obvious. They were so kind and helpful to us and definitely on top of things. Loved it! Thank you.

We look forward to our first camping trip of each season, and we make sure to book it at Fancy Gap KOA. The friendly campground staff, the cleanliness and amenities, and the nearby attractions make it a truly enjoyable experience!

We LOVE The Fancy Gap KOA!!! Quiet, clean, and secluded all while still easily accessible from the interstate. The camp store is precious and has so many fun goodies, so I definitely encourage folks to check it out during their stay! This campground is everything you could ask for and we certainly look forward to our next visit.

Stayed over Easter weekend. The hosts had plenty of activities planned for the kids and family to enjoy The location was perfect for us. Close to everything we wanted to see during our stay. Thank you for an enjoyable weekend!

From our arrival we were taken care of and escorted to our site. This was our first visit and it was more than we could have hoped for. Bbq delivered to our site. So enjoyed a night off from cooking! Kids enjoyed Easter Egg hunt, fishing, gem mining, ping pong and the playground. We kept saying, we think this is the quietest campground we've ever stayed at. Cant wait to come back. The Shirley's

Just a quick weekend stay. Had a pull thru patio site (21) wasn’t very level side to side. But was a very nice spot. We ordered food from Dave’s smokehouse smoked dog and Brisket sandwich was very good. We just love this campground.

One of the best KOA’s we have stayed at but unfortunately it was only an overnight stay this time. Bathrooms and showers are perfect and clean. We will be back.

We were greeted with someone waiting at the gate to check us in and handed us an Easter gift (who doesn’t like to get gifts?!) - What a great first impression! Within seconds someone was guiding us to our site and helping back in. We had a site with our own dog backyard and now I’m ruined forever. I’m going to need one at every campground! Starving - we ordered food and they delivered! 10/10

The reception was very nice gentleman Tim, who took me to my site. We got to talk quite a bit and it was a great visit. I love to come back and check out the area.

We always enjoy staying in Fancy Gap KOA! It’s the first time we have been given a site way up on the hill….nit as big as we would have liked…..we are older campers and would have appreciated having the upper bathrooms open….we were surprised that they weren’t….maybe lack of help?? Anyway the next time we pass through we will reserve by phone instead of on line and request a lower si

We had a great stay during our shakedown run of a new camper. Facilities were clean, bbq was great and our little girl loved finding “Chippy,” hiding on the grounds. Staff were excellent!

Staff was very inviting and helpful. The property was well managed . At the property, you can purchase homemade smoked brisket, pork, baked beans, coleslaw and pizza to name a few. The owner amokes the meats right outside the camp store. The camp store was great. Filled with not only the essentials, but many items like a Cracker Barrel. Not disappointed AT ALL!

We had a difficult trip which resulted in a late arrival. We reached out for help and were met with the kindest most helpful person ever!! Helped us in so many ways even got us amazing BBQ sandwiches for dinner ! She saved the day and made a tough day end on a wonderful note!! Then I forgot my jacket and they reached out to send it to me! The campground is beautiful and so are the people! Thankful

By far, this is the nicest KOA we have visited! Courteous and welcoming staff, organized and level sites, spotless restrooms and pulled pork sandwiches that rival Buckees! We wish every KOA was this great!!!

Beautiful location, the customer service is phenomenal, the food in the little restaurant is excellent and they delivered it to our campsite. The road up to it was a little sketchy but when you arrive is is fully worth it. We have a 45 ft Toyhauler and made it fine. We will definitely be back.

Exceptional customer service. We arrived late, and even though staff weren't on-site, there was a clearly prepared instruction packet with my name on it waiting for us, which made check-in seamless. The campsite is very clean, including the bathrooms, and everything is well maintained. Our site had both electric hookups and a water spigot, which made the stay very convenient. There's also a stocked pond for bass and catfish, a swimming pool, and several activities to keep kids entertained. I've heard the BBQ here is good as well, though I didn't try it. We stayed for two nights over the Juneteenth weekend (2026) and had a great experience.

One of the nicest KOA's we've stayed at. Great layout, well maintained. Site was pretty level and good spacing. The store was amazing, they have great BBQ and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. There is a pool, playground and gem mining for the kids. Would definitely recommend and will stay again if ever in the area.
