We stayed in site 76 which is our favorite. We were there for 3 nights. Our friends stayed in the small cabin, which did not really meet their requirements. My feedback would be to improve the cabin by adding in a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. There would be room to do this is you removed the bunk beds.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our campging cabins include a 1/2 bath, they are intended to be a step above tenting. We have 4 cabins that include a full kitchen, full bath and all linens. Happy to help them with any option. Health department does not allow cooking in a dwelling with only one entry. Hope that helps.

Another wonderful stay at Fancy Gap. No complaints from me. Site was great, bathroom/laundry was very clean. I tried their beef brisket sandwich with beans. And it was good. I wish they had coleslaw. The ladies at the front desk were excellent. Give this KOA a try, I believe you will be pleased.

We loved the pet pen behind our campsite. Staff was friendly and camp store was well stocked. The showers were nice and had great water pressure. Close to good eateries and Blue Ridge Pkwy is less than a mile away. Enjoy. OOga Booga!

Friendly staff, clean, nice layout, convenient to I-95, especially liked the food and delivery availability.

The service staff was very helpful in leading you to your campsite upon arrival, were helpful in addressing questions, provided great BBQ onsite, and ensured bath areas were always clean. We had a nice stay and loved the shaded site we were on.

Overnight stay while traveling to other destination. Very nice campground and the staff was very friendly. The restrooms were clean and well maintained. Dave's Barbecue was very good after a long day of traveling. Will definitely stay again and will recommend to friends.

We wished we had stayed longer! We used this as a one night stay on a longer trip, but we will be back. The campground is beautiful, sites are on terraced on the mountain - all sites are very level. This was right off the Blue Ridge Parkway and close to biking and hiking trails. We also enjoyed some BBQ from the general store - delicious! Hosts were very gracious.

This was our first visit and we can see why they one the Campground of the year award! We were greeted at arrival and someone escorted us to our site. The grounds are tiered so it felt a bit more intimate and private where our spot was. Bathrooms were large and CLEAN! Grounds were well maintained as were the amenities, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! Will definitely be back!

My first KOA experience set a very high bar. Immaculate beautiful campsites with privacy. Very clean facilities and super friendly staff. Right next to the blue ridge parkway and I77 yet you don’t hear the highway. Also some tasty homemade BBQ at the camp store. Would definitely stay here again.

Best camping experience ever. I have been camping since I was a child. I won't say how long that was but it was quite some time ago. Campsites #1, clean, spacious. Dog pen was fantastic. I loved the sign on it, love a sense of humor. A plus, plus, plus! Staff was so friendly. Laundry and store were very clean. I just can't say enough good things. We will be back. Thank-you!

We stayed 3 nights in early April. The park was extremely clean and the staff was very nice. We were met at the store/office, didn’t even have to get out of our vehicle. They gave us a campground map and there was another person in a golf cart who led us right to our site, he even brought up the bundle of firewood we ordered. The rest rooms are large, comfortable and very well maintained. A+

I can see why they got all the awards. It was one of the most enjoyable campgrounds we have stayed at. It is a small campground and it is on the side of a hill, but all the sites are level. The staff is just so excellent and accommodating we felt at home. It is a very nice rural setting and very relaxing. I've been here before and will definitely come again.

We only stayed overnight, but it is a lovely park. Some spaces are close together, but with the changes in elevation and the foliage, it doesn't seem like it. Can't wait to come back and stay longer.

Was blown away by the campground's efficiency, organization, helpfulness, kindness, and good tasting barbeque that was even delivered to our site! Upon my arrival (my husband had arrived with the camper previously) I was greeted at my car, and led to our site. The store is super cute, grounds totally clean, we'll definitely stay again!

Exceptional customer service. We arrived late, and even though staff weren't on-site, there was a clearly prepared instruction packet with my name on it waiting for us, which made check-in seamless. The campsite is very clean, including the bathrooms, and everything is well maintained. Our site had both electric hookups and a water spigot, which made the stay very convenient. There's also a stocked pond for bass and catfish, a swimming pool, and several activities to keep kids entertained. I've heard the BBQ here is good as well, though I didn't try it. We stayed for two nights over the Juneteenth weekend (2026) and had a great experience.

One of the nicest KOA's we've stayed at. Great layout, well maintained. Site was pretty level and good spacing. The store was amazing, they have great BBQ and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. There is a pool, playground and gem mining for the kids. Would definitely recommend and will stay again if ever in the area.
