We really enjoyed our stay at this KOA. We had a great spot with lots of shade and even a deck. The staff here are all top notch! They greeted us at the gate, then escorted us to our site and helped us get backed in. I can't say enough about how friendly everyone was. We will definitely be staying here again as we only live a couple of hours away.

The campground is wonderful. We did not get out much because of heavy rainstorms during our stay. However the site was beautiful and the atmosphere was wonderful in the area. Will definitely repeat when weather is better.

This was a beautiful KOA location. Camping under the trees and listening to the singing of the variety of birds was very relaxing. There is plenty of activities to do at the camp. The staff was very friendly & the sandwiches are delicious! I wish we could have stayed longer. We would definitely stay there again.

It was very relaxing. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was also kept very clean. Loved the fenced in yard for our dogs.

We were there only 1 night. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Dinner (BBQ) was great - a relief not to cook after traveling all day! The site was fine and included full hookups.

Still our favorite campground, this was our 5th time staying. Extremely friendly staff, great spacious well maintained campsites. Plenty to do close by with the BRP just minutes away. Did I mention the excellent food from Dave's Smokehouse delivered to your site? Can't wait for our next trip!!

Fancy Gap KOA is the most professional and friendliest staff i have encountered at any Campground. We had to leave a day early because of the weather rolling in and they were very generous about that early departure. There is lot's of things to do for the kids and the gift shop is very well maintained. Great job KOA Fancy Gap Staff. Thank you for the stay.

Beautiful setting and great location. Having the option of the on-site food from Dave's Smokehouse was delicious and labor saving after a long travel day (no prep or dishes required) and the proceeds benefit the Children's Charity.

The campground was neat, clean, and beautiful. The hosts were very friendly. The bathrooms were very clean. We will definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful campground. They got me in at the last minute before the office closed for the day, guided me to my site, and offered to give me a few extra minutes to order food. Very attentive staff and really nice facilities. Thank you for making my stay so pleasant.

Only issue we seen is they need to allow golf carts due to the hill being so steep away from amenities

Our hills are way to steep for golf carts, but we will gladly give you a lift while you are here on site.

Overall everything was great both times we stayed, we just wish the smokehouse and food options would be available later than only 7:00. We watched numerous RVs arrive after we pulled in and we pulled in just after 7, so if there are a large number of arrivals later in the evening it would be nice to have food options there on-site as there really isn't anything local either.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We could not agree with your more, but like all other food establishments, staffing is an issue. Our kitchen staff goes home at 7pm, so please plan accordingly if you want some of Dave's Smokehouse.

Amazing stay. Family friendly. Great bluegrass band played on the patio while I was there. Beautiful campground and staff were all amazing to interact with.

It is the cleanest, most well maintained KOA campground around. Our stay is always a couple of getaways days - it is three hours from home. Little rigs and big rigs are a friendly balance. Staff is super friendly and obviously hard working, checking up after storms that all is well.

This is an outstanding RV park. Large well-designed sites with lots of flowers. The people are excellent and add a lot to your stay. Clean and attractive showers and rest rooms and excellent Wi-Fi. All well priced. Definitely in my top 5 RV parks

It was my hubby’s birthday and our 49 th anniversary so the welcome host gave us a wonderful campsite! Lots of trees and beautiful view. So kind of them . Although we currently don’t have a dog, we are so impressed with the dog lots connected to the site! Ian sure that families with pets would appreciate them.

This was our first stay at this campground and we were overly impressed with how friendly the camp staff was. The camp was very clean. We loved the fact that they have private fenced in yards for our furbaby. He had plenty of room to run around. This by far was one of our favorite KOA

Only stayed one night, but was impressed with the layout and privacy of the sites. Sites were mostly spacious, and in a heavily wooded park. It’s a bit tight driving a larger rig, and it’s terraced on a hill, but manageable. Not sure what is in the area to do, but it is a really nice place to stay if you are wanting to hike or other outdoor activities. Facilities are very clean and up to date.

I enjoy this KOA, one of the best I have stayed at. I was disappointed with the RC site. The site has several items that I think needs to be fixed. First an probably the most important was the site was not level. The site was 41/2 inches low on the driver side. Second was the site seem short for my RC and truck made it so I could not stay connected for a quick overnight stay. Still love this KOA

Great location, just off Blue Ridge Parkway. Friendly owners and staff! One of our favorite places to stay in Fancy Gap. They offer BBQ ,PIZZA & snacks like ice cream and chips delivered to your cabin or camp sight at a very fair price!

Wonderful campground! We were the first campers of 2024, and we won a small prize. We had a wonderful view, it was very quiet and off the beaten path. Lots of activities for children and cute cottages for folks to stay in. Our site was nice and level and we had no problems with power or water. Definitely recommend this KOA and we hope to return in the future!
