friendly super easy check in process..I didn't even have to get out of my vehicle. clean restrooms. I loved the fact it wasn't a big open field like campground with no trees. some sites have open sky views as well but there were trees surrounding the property. convenient to the blue ridge parkway and hiking opportunities. I will be back to this campground in the future.

Only stayed one night but the sight was deep, perfectly level and well-shaded allowing us to not unhook the tow vehicle or have to lower the jacks. The camp store was attended by a very personable and friendly woman, and was stocked with a variety of items for camping or pleasure. The community bathrooms were exceptionally clean. We would definitely recommend this location.

Everything was great. Staf was friendly and the facilities were clean and well kept. The only negative would be that the WiFi signal was weak. Otherwise, we will be back.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the campground itself is well laid out with good site separation. While some of the interior roads are a bit tight and steep, it’s still manageable for big rigs. The onsite restaurant is a great perk and will even deliver meals right to your site. Beautifully set in the hills of Virginia, this campground offers both charm and convenience.

Great staff. Nice combination of sites. Quiet. Easy access to Blue Ridge and dozens of wineries. Caution: hilly, but sites were reasonably level. Some tight turns for big rigs, especially when towing.

Stayed here for a few week nights enroute back to PA from NC. I chose it because it was a KOA, which we always like and because it was near the Blue Ridge Parkway and an area we had never traveled to before. The area was very nice, rural, quiet and scenic and this KOA was also very nice and quiet with a wooded setting. Staff was very nice and there was easy access to the interstate.

Stopped for a quick overnight stay. The check-in could not have been easier. Met with such friendly and organized staff. The grounds are clean and well maintained. I plan to return for a longer stay

This was the fourth time that we have stayed here. The campground is very nice and we love all the trees We like staying in the dog pen sites. We will definitely be coming back. The staff is always extremely helpful.

First timers. Had to chg start date several times. Then we decided to stay another day once we got there. Staff was super cool and overly accomodating. Location was beautiful. Pool was clean and very refreshing. Loved it!!

We LOVE Fancy Gap KOA. Everyone is very friendly and the campground always looks so nice. My only complaint would be the WiFi was a bit inconsistent up on the top row.

We love Fancy Gap KOA. It is a must stop on our drive between Florida and NY and we always add an extra night so we can truly enjoy the campground and the area. They go out of their way to be extraordinary - from the friendly staff, the welcome flyer, the dog park, the bench areas, the store and amenities. We appreciate how they have kept up the campground over the years!!

This place not only has a stunning location with great sites. The staff are beyond amazing and helpful. I am pretty sure they have thought of everything, from air for your tyres to medical disposal units in the toilets. I would go out of my just to visit this place every year. The stay is never long enough.

Great check-in. Never had to get out of the truck. Was led right to site and helped back in. Even had bbq dinner for sale which was delicious and delivered right to our site. All staff were amazing. Only negative was the high price for a one night stay.

Everything was fantastic in our recent stay. From the friendly greeting to the wonderful site to the pulled pork sandwich delivered to our site. Our only disappointment was we weren’t able to stay longer. If you need a place for the night or for several days I would recommend you staying here.

We love this campground! Very helpful staff, taking to your site & guiding you in . Nice shaded sites. There’s food offered there from barbecue to pizza, very good. Lots of things to do here, from a drive down to Mt Airy, Blue Ridge Parkway a half mile away.

Nice setup and clean with numerous amenities. The staff is friendly and professional. Our site was roomy, gravel and level. Definitely became one of our favorites.

We were to come on Monday but our trip ended up with our need to stop at Fancy Gap a day early. I was trying to change the reservation from Monday night to Sunday night but I guess we got charged for both nights. We left Monday morning. We have stopped in FG KOA only as an overnight stop point in 2024 and 2025 and we have found everything to be better than any KOA in which we have stayed.

Exceptional customer service. We arrived late, and even though staff weren't on-site, there was a clearly prepared instruction packet with my name on it waiting for us, which made check-in seamless. The campsite is very clean, including the bathrooms, and everything is well maintained. Our site had both electric hookups and a water spigot, which made the stay very convenient. There's also a stocked pond for bass and catfish, a swimming pool, and several activities to keep kids entertained. I've heard the BBQ here is good as well, though I didn't try it. We stayed for two nights over the Juneteenth weekend (2026) and had a great experience.

One of the nicest KOA's we've stayed at. Great layout, well maintained. Site was pretty level and good spacing. The store was amazing, they have great BBQ and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. There is a pool, playground and gem mining for the kids. Would definitely recommend and will stay again if ever in the area.
