I like this property very much. In the woods with nice sites. Pretty much on the side of the mountain so there’s lots of up n down. Prolly the best camp store I’ve ever seen.

Overall the camp grounds is nice. We have been doing different ones in the area for the past couple years and this one has the least amount of stuff to do in the fall time compared to some of the others. Fishing pond is kinda small and I never see anyone catch anything in there. The time spent with family and friends is always great just wish there was more stuff to do with the extra time

The campground is clean and the staff goes out of their way to accommodate you. Case in point, we wanted to leave at 8-8:30 and needed LP, but the office did not open til 9. No problem, the staff was more than willing to accommodate us. We stay here twice a year. Great place@

We had the BEST time at the Fancy Gap KOA! Everyone was so nice and helpful. Our cabin was so nice and very clean, plenty of room for our family of 4. The activities provided lots of family fun and the food from the smokehouse was delicious!

Bathrooms were great. Stall was nice a friendly. Our site was rather small and not very level but we made it work.

The campground and staff are amazing! They went above and beyond during our stay to answer questions, ensure we had everything we needed, and were just plain nice and friendly to talk to. Would absolutely stay here again!

The people were super friendly and helpful. The campground is so clean and meticulously kept up. Adorable decorating for the season. Very dog friendly for those of us with fur kids.

Favorite campground of them all! The grounds are wooded and beautiful, the staff is friendly and attentive, the place was decorated for the holidays. Plus, awesome food is available on-site!

Loved it! Organized and very helpful at arrival. We'd changed our plan fairly last minute, staying only 1 night instead of 2. As we arrived, we realized that meant we'd rather have a pull-through site, and they found one for us! Golf cart escort to the site. Beautiful fall leaves, cute seasonal decorations. Beef brisket on site was a hit! Hilly, windy roads but we saw big rigs there.

This time of the year is our most requested time of all. There are lots of economy options out there. Make an advanced reservation, select an economy site instead of a deluxe pull thru and participate in our rewards program, Happy Trails.

Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Sites are spacious and the campground is wooded and very nicely maintained. The BBQ place that delivers to your site is very appreciated. We already booked for next year in October, which is an excellent time to go, fun-wise and weather-wise.

This is a wonderful campground. We really enjoyed our stay and hated to leave. We were in site 23 which, even at the front of the campground was quiet and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The area is beautiful the Blue Ridge Parkway is right there. The bath facilities along with the laundry were easily accessible and very clean.

Stayed two night to visit Mount Airy and Blue Ridge Parkway. Really convenient for both. Nice sites and really friendly folks. No problems.

This was year six for us and we already have reservations for next year! We absolutely love this campground and the owners are the nicest people! The campground is well kept, there’s plenty to do for our kids, and the Fall Festival is the icing on the cake!

This was our first (jbut not last) visit at KOA Fancy Gap. The weekend we stayed was their fall/halloween theme weekend and they had soooo many activities. Chili cook off, costume contest, trick or treating, site decoration contest and then hay rides for everyone. All they offer is top notch.....cutest store, dave's smoke house it was all 5 star. The staff was first class as well.

Exceptional customer service. We arrived late, and even though staff weren't on-site, there was a clearly prepared instruction packet with my name on it waiting for us, which made check-in seamless. The campsite is very clean, including the bathrooms, and everything is well maintained. Our site had both electric hookups and a water spigot, which made the stay very convenient. There's also a stocked pond for bass and catfish, a swimming pool, and several activities to keep kids entertained. I've heard the BBQ here is good as well, though I didn't try it. We stayed for two nights over the Juneteenth weekend (2026) and had a great experience.

One of the nicest KOA's we've stayed at. Great layout, well maintained. Site was pretty level and good spacing. The store was amazing, they have great BBQ and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. There is a pool, playground and gem mining for the kids. Would definitely recommend and will stay again if ever in the area.
