I had a wonderful stay! People were friendly and greeted me right away, plus the maintenance guy showed me to my cabin, which was really nice. Very clean cabin, very clean campground. lots of amenities, great for the family. I’m definitely coming back!

We always enjoy camping at this location. Friendly and helpful staff . I love being able to ordering pizza or BBQ and it be delivered right to my site. It helps when arriving later in day and don't feel like cooking after traveling that day. Sites are nice and roomy as well. Ready to visit again. The Dellinger's

LOVE it here- is our family annual outing (age from 5 to mid 70s) and it’s a perfect combination of beauty & relaxation, while keeping my 5 yr old entertained. The owners & staff are AMAZING & truly care. LOCATION- we are completely happy spending the day here, but as music lovers we go to the music center, Galax & Floyd for a couple hours too. Very much enjoyed warm clean pool . Well maintained, very courteous staff. Good site and WiFi good. Restrooms very attractive with family style rooms. BBQ dinner meal was great and delivered to our site! Will stay again!! Very convenient to good roads and parkway, gas.

Beautiful camp! Our site could have been a bit more level, but otherwise everything was great. A bit too chilly to use the pool.

We love this campground! We love the dog sites! Family members enjoyed their small cabin experience! Love to get out in the area to hike and explore. This trip we walked at the New River Trail State Park in Galax, VA. We also hiked the Fisher's Peak Loop at the Blueridge Music Center. Convenient to I-77, but stay a few days to enjoy the area (Blueridge Pkwy, Galax, VA and Mount Airy, NC).

Your KOA is with out a doubt the most beautiful and well kept KOA we have ever stay at. Your staff is so friendly and helpful. Also your food service is better than most restaurants anywhere. We live about 600 miles from your location but the trip is well worth it. Thanks for a fantastic and memorable time.

The best KOA we have ever stayed. The staff is beyond amazing. It rained daily but they never stopped keeping park clean. We ordered their smoked BBQ twice during our stay. It was some of the best brisket we have had. They even delivered it to our camper in the rain! Sites are spacious and worked great for our 5th wheel. Convenient to where we wanted to go. Thank you for a great stay!

We only stayed the night. Didn’t use any of the amenities except the showers which were very clean. The only issue was getting the fifth wheel into the back in sites neighboring trucks were parked in front of their rigs instead of on the site space next to the camper. The staff had to ask the neighbor to move their truck so we could get into our site.

Paw-some!!!! The cabin was clean and comfortable and the fenced in patio was perfect for our pup. We enjoyed the BBQ dinner that was delivered by staff - the staff were also Amazing!!! We will be back soon!!!

Very nice mostly wooded campground. Clean, nice staff, efficient staff. Super location right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. I would stay again.

This was my second stay here and I'll be back. I especially like that you're surrounded by forest and that the Blue Ridge Parkway is right next door. And I love the fact that I could order a meal delivered to my site. I had the barbecue sandwich and baked beans and it was exceptional. Next time I'll stay longer.

Lovely campground, but the weekend rates were somewhat usury. Probably because of the BB festival. If we stay again we will avoid the weekend.

We always enjoy our stays at Fancy Gap KOA. The campground is very well kept and quiet. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. There are many things to see and do along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Look forward to going back this fall.

Nice KOA. People were nice and the campground was clean. Pet friendly. Our site was on a hill and was a bit difficult getting to it. Larger rigs may have some issues.

We stayed in site 41, with the private dog area. Once we got set up and got the dogs settled, we realized that this was one of the nicest campgrounds we’ve stayed in. The Staff was so friendly, the pool was nice and clean, a so much shade throughout the campground. One of our favorite places now and we’ll be coming back.

Everything was fine except for the tv cable was out and that pushed everyone onto the WiFi. Most of the time the WiFi was slow to nonexistent. We did have cell service so we weren’t without modern communication. I understand that things happen. Still a beautiful campground that is well managed and cared for. Love the continued upgrades to the property!

Very enjoyable stay! Loved the cool refreshing mountain air, dinner delivery, our cabin, firepit area, riding the Parkway and overall relaxation.

Exceptional customer service. We arrived late, and even though staff weren't on-site, there was a clearly prepared instruction packet with my name on it waiting for us, which made check-in seamless. The campsite is very clean, including the bathrooms, and everything is well maintained. Our site had both electric hookups and a water spigot, which made the stay very convenient. There's also a stocked pond for bass and catfish, a swimming pool, and several activities to keep kids entertained. I've heard the BBQ here is good as well, though I didn't try it. We stayed for two nights over the Juneteenth weekend (2026) and had a great experience.

One of the nicest KOA's we've stayed at. Great layout, well maintained. Site was pretty level and good spacing. The store was amazing, they have great BBQ and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. There is a pool, playground and gem mining for the kids. Would definitely recommend and will stay again if ever in the area.
