Everything was perfect! Nice level site and easy access to a wonderful dog park. Meals delivered to your RV is a wonderful amenity. Check in could not have been easier. Best KOA we have stayed at and KOA is our go to, we’ve stayed at many locations all over the USA.

I would give more stars if I could. We have traveled many miles, camped in many campgrounds. This campground is one of the best. It’s quiet and peaceful. Our site was easy to access and level. Thanks for doing a great job.

This koa is one of my favorites! We loves everything about it. It is a beautiful camp, great amenities, pool, laundry, arcade machines, food on site, delivered to you!!!! Peaceful. Just cant get any better.

We had a very unlevel site. We had the ur reservations for months but had to make a change a couple of weeks before we arrived. Our site was terrible. Campground was clean with gravel sites.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Site 59 is perfect for a camper that does not want to unhook and will arrive when our office is open so we are able to take you to your site to help you park on the pad we have created. This site is also perfect for those traveling with a satellite and want clear sky, most of our sites are shaded.

Friendly staff, nice mountian campground. We hadn't been here in several years and there were several changes we seen, patios, new fire pits and kids playground had more things to play on. Nice pool and small fishing pond. We will be back.

Our first time there. Grounds are laid out beautifully. All the folks that work there are incredible, one of the many but most important reason we will be back. The store and barbecue were surprisingly wonderful. All was great during our visit no need to change a thing.

We love discovering new campgrounds with KOA and, like all the others we’ve visited, this one was clean and well maintained. In a beautiful, quiet area, my kids loved the pool and fishing in the pond. Our cabin was right next to the pond and trees, which made for great pictures and lots of bird watching. We’re already planning a return trip.

The absolute best, friendliest, and hardest-working campground staff I have ever met (after 18 years, 95 campgrounds, and 309 nights according to my camping log). Fancy Gap is one of the best in the KOA system!

Such a nice KOA to stop and stay for a night - we wish we would have stayed 2 nights to enjoy the surrounding area. The BBQ was delicious!!!

I found the Campground to be very well kept. The layout was good with no crowded sites. The staff was excellent. A very enjoyable stay. We will return.

We really enjoyed our week at the Fancy Gap KOA. The cabin was very clean and perfect for us, it had everything we needed. Dave’s Smokehouse is located at the camp store they had excellent BBQ and Pizza. They deliver the food right to your campsite. The staff were very friendly and the camp store reminds you of walking into a Cracker Barrel. Fancy Gap is the Gold Standard of KOA.

I spent an overnight here along my Blue Ridge Parkway trek. Staff could not have been anymore accommodating! Was just the right level of rustic for me. Be sure to order dinner or lunch from Dave's. You won't be disappointed! Would have stayed longer if my trip allowed. Highly recommend!

Was a lot shorter than we had hoped due to some problems before leaving home. We were late arrivals and easily found our information for campsite . Unfortunately, we had to move on the next morning.

We rented a deluxe cabin at this location and we loved it. Can’t say enough about our stay here. The friendly KOA staff went above and beyond to make our stay the best possible. We can’t wait to stay here again. The Fancy Gap KOA is so beautiful and well maintained. Also this KOA packs a lot of value for the money and well worth it. Go check it out you won’t regret it.

Birder's paradise! I identified about 20 different song birds and was able to visualize 5 species, plus a red-shouldered hawk. I hope they find a way to preserve the raw land around them, really makes the place a gem of serenity. Campsites are really cool. Very clean and well-maintained ameneties. Would stay again.

Exceptional customer service. We arrived late, and even though staff weren't on-site, there was a clearly prepared instruction packet with my name on it waiting for us, which made check-in seamless. The campsite is very clean, including the bathrooms, and everything is well maintained. Our site had both electric hookups and a water spigot, which made the stay very convenient. There's also a stocked pond for bass and catfish, a swimming pool, and several activities to keep kids entertained. I've heard the BBQ here is good as well, though I didn't try it. We stayed for two nights over the Juneteenth weekend (2026) and had a great experience.
