It rained both days I was there, but I can tell you that the new owners and staff are great. It's wonderful to be slightly out of town in the woods and quiet. A Trolley takes you to many spots in Deadwood for $2. Can't beat that.

Super friendly hosts and beautiful views

The staff is very helpful, even helping get parked the best for each site. The camp is on a very steep hill and the sites are very small and closely packed. The amenities are very nice with things I've not seen before like covered wagon glamping. Having the Deadwood Trolley stop at the KOA is a real plus.

Due to a mechanical problem we had to be in a different site. The owner notified me and asked if it was ok. He was very nice e an helpful. Bathrooms were clean and trolley to town was super

Spaces are tight. Internet did not want to let us use the TV. Nice and close to Downtown. Trolley came right to the campground every hour.

Amazing! The owners and all employees were awesome. Very fried and accommodating. The campground is well maintained and they are always trying to make quality improvements. I give them 10 stars.

Some of the nicest, hard working employees we’ve met at any campground. Improvements being made at the KOA look great!

New ownership is really sprucing this campground up! Bathrooms were excellent! I was only disappointed the pool was not open (repairs) as that is why I chose this one.‍

Staff was great. Friendly, and helpful. Facilities were ok. You can tell the new owners are trying to make improvements but many things were broken or under construction. This was also one of the more expensive than other Koa’s near National parks and other tv parks in the area. For the amount of things not up and working the price should have been discounted. No wood fires is a huge turn off.

Campground was great and the owners were really working hard to improve the facilities and accommodated us very well. Great location to visit Deadwood and Spearfish area. Kids have a cool playground to enjoy. Will stay there again!

We enjoyed our stay at Deadwood/Black Hills KOA. We took advantage of the trolley for a trip into town. Great baths.

We loved the park! The owners were really great.

The location is the only good thing about this KOA. The sites are extremely small width wise, they give you 4 chairs to sit outside but there is literally no where to put them to sit in. They had a water leak so they filled our tank which took them hours. They were under construction, listened to back hoes the whole time we were there. Don't stay here. They are way more expensive than other KOA's.

There was an issue with a broken water line but staff helped fill up our holding tank. Showers near us were also affected so had to use our bathroom. All of the staff were friendly and all seem to be working hard to make necessary improvements.

Nice setup, great staff. Clean restrooms too!

The location was good and the owner was friendly and efficient at check-in. However, the sites were extremely close together and we prefer a bit more space.

Location was ok but you are literally almost touching your neighbor no room at all.

Loved the nature trail on the back of the property!

When I arrived they had my reservation for the previous night and did not have a space for me the night of my actual reservation. I had a confirmation receipt and two emails confirming the correct date! As a result I was put in a small back-in space without the patio I had reserved and paid for! Also the trolley to town which was heavily advertised was not running. I was very disappoint

I could not stay after driving all day my trailer would fit in the lot any were so we had to leave with nowhere to stay. It was 12:00pm when we left we had to drive to Caster

Too tight. Not much space. Neighbors sewer located next to our table. No shade.
Sep 26, 2021
Short close to town
Sep 25, 2021
Site ok, difficult to get into and out if other campers there. Made more for motorhomes than trailers. Tv and wifi need serious work.
Sep 25, 2021
Very cramped and congested with severe hill to climb to spot. Wi-fi went from good to non existent, causing drop in signal

We had a wonderful site with beautiful views of Devil’s Tower. The campgrounds is kept so clean and neat, and everything is well maintained. At first I thought it was a bit pricey, but after seeing all the amenities and how beautiful it is - well worth the money!

Just one night but camp host was very nice. He had one of the hands take us into town

Overall a good experience. The camping sites were very small and hard to maneuver however, the staff was friendly, amenities were good, and the on-site store had last minute things in stock.

We loved this campground. You feel like you're away from it all, but yet you are so close to town. The owners were so helpful and friendly.

Nice KOA, set up well, easy to access. Has all the hookups, multiple settings. Tent, cabin, campers and trailers and 5th wheel. Great view.

Whenever we're in the Black Hills for the Sturgis rally or just visiting we always stay here. The CG is now under new management but they seem to be doing a terrific job. This time we were tent camping in a site we last camped in back in 2013. I always recommend this place to friends, and those seeking a place to camp while in the "Hills." They also feature a trolley that takes you into Deadwood and brings you back.
