Campground Reviews

Spaces are VERY close. Only a few feet between trailer door and neighbors sewer hose. Additionally, there are pet goats that roam the campground. Can’t sit or eat outside without having to continually chase them away plus goat droppings everywhere. Have to be very careful where you walk. They chewed on tablecloth and purse. Even bit my husband. Very annoying.

Nice fun stay Goats cute but a little annoying as they tried to get in cars/yralers

Nice campground love Pete and the goats, maybe not in our camper though, LOL! They were fun. My dog does not like other animals but she loved the little black goat.

We have always stayed here whenever in the Deadwood/Sturgis area, and love this CG. This time we especially loved Pete and the goats. Keep up the good work.

Love this camp. The staff is awesome. Sites are unique atop a hill in the canyon. Hookups were great. The trolley will take you into Deadwood, runs a route about town and will bring you back, VERY convenient. The camp burro, "Pete" and his goat buddies roam around adding some local color. We were in a motorhome.

Staff were pleasant, the manager even offered to drive us to town since the trolley had stopped. Deck and propane fireplace was very relaxing. Restrooms were clean and showers were nice and hot.

Great place, wonderful Host. Site are a little to close is reason for the 4 star, but worked for us. Facilities we good and laundry room was perfect. There were some nice looking cabins to rent.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The camp was a little different being built up the side of a mountain instead of flat valley ground. We had a space at the top and it was very much to our liking. I would stay here again and highly recommend this camp to anyone.

Nice small campground near Deadwood. With shuttle but a cab might be a better option.

This is our second time here and we really like it. Their free pancake breakfast is a nice touch (be aware of no pancakes after Labor Day )

Lousy upper bathrooms. Way overpriced for camping in a gravel pit with a picnic table.

Gary and Dana went above and beyond to make our stay fun and comfortable. The sites are packed tight together, but fortunately we were surrounded by kind people. We loved the pool, trolley, and animals. Would definitely come back.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great staff! Very quiet and peaceful! Was great to have the trolley into Deadwood! :-) Only drawback was the goat poop all over that could be tracked into the camper if you weren't careful where you stepped. :-(

Some back in spots don’t leave a lot of room to hookup and disconnect, due to another camper in front of you. Staff was well accommodating and even gave us a ride into town when the trolley didn’t show up.

Whenever we're in the Black Hills for the Sturgis rally or just visiting we always stay here. The CG is now under new management but they seem to be doing a terrific job. This time we were tent camping in a site we last camped in back in 2013. I always recommend this place to friends, and those seeking a place to camp while in the "Hills." They also feature a trolley that takes you into Deadwood and brings you back.

We rented an RV space, can't say anything about the cabins or Conestoga Wagons other than they looked nice from the outside. The campground is small and tight. It's built in a very hilly location and has a tight entryway and roads. The RV spaces are really small both length-wise and width. Our slide out extended into the neighbors space. The spaces can be a hassle to get into. That aside, we liked this campground. It's quaint and well kept. Bathrooms were clean, store was nice, people who worked there were pleasant, and the wifi worked pretty well. It's a short drive to Deadwood or Lead and there's a trolley that comes through the campground that'll take you into Deadwood for $2/person. We loved the friendly Donkey, Pete, and goats that wander around the campground.
