Loyal KOA member and traveler, I don't plan to use this KOA spot again. I tried to give the benefit of a doubt bc we came in on a holiday (Mt. Rushmore lighting, later than normal). However: Check in wasn't left outside for us No maps A sign said to call a number bc they closed early Called said # 4x before an answer Bathrooms filthy Tight spots Morning time others complained too

I rate KOAs by how quiet and in nature they are and clean... This hit all of those important things. Great people, campground, and great for kids! I would stay here again!

Very cramped, no shaded sites and no character. Would not stay there again.

We were looking for an affordable, safe place to stay close to Deadwood and Leads. Bonus it's a cool little campground with a unique vibe. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the view from our site was beautiful. The KOA was exactly what we were looking for. Will be back next time we visit Leads.

We typically use the main shower restrooms by office, and appreciate that the broken boards on porch were fixed. This time we stayed higher up the way so we utilized the individual showers in the middle of campground, and we were disappointed in cleanliness . Mold on bottoms of shower curtains grungy floors, molding baseboards etc. In addition to the concern of mold none smelled very fresh eithe

Great location. Friendly host. Bathrooms not very clean. We expected better from KOA.

Very convenient to the town of Deadwood. Was a little put off by the steep climb up to the restrooms, but other than that, a pleasant camping experience.

Very convenient location, pretty setting, grounds were kept very clean. Sites are extremely tight, but it is on the side of a mountain.

Had a nice stay again as always. Love the fact that for only a little bit more I get-cell phone service, internet, over 100 cable tv stations, convenient store, laundry available, water/sewer, nice showers/restrooms, area to play table games, pool/hot tub, trolley to Deadwood ($1), close to everything but tucked away, etc! Good times!

Not given the concrete site that was reserved online through KOA. No trolley running as advertised. Good place for kids, but too unkempt looking for me.

Friendly helpful staff. The sites are VERY “thin”. Could use a foot or more on each side.

Nice KOA, set up well, easy to access. Has all the hookups, multiple settings. Tent, cabin, campers and trailers and 5th wheel. Great view.

The donkey Pete and the goats were fun to watch and feed.

Whenever we're in the Black Hills for the Sturgis rally or just visiting we always stay here. The CG is now under new management but they seem to be doing a terrific job. This time we were tent camping in a site we last camped in back in 2013. I always recommend this place to friends, and those seeking a place to camp while in the "Hills." They also feature a trolley that takes you into Deadwood and brings you back.
