Level lots, beach access, tons of activities for the kids. East drive from VA. Clean, friendly staff. Can’t wait to get back.

We stayed for four nights at the end of September. Our only complaint was the weather. The campground was terrific and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The pool area was really impressive, and we loved playing music bingo on Tuesday night.

Very beautiful campground, well located with many nice amenities. However the super nice and clean pool had its water more than cold !!! And the jacuzzi water was disgusting!!! The management should have posted these inconveniences into their Website

It was very clean. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. The pool and Tiki Bar were very nice and the food at Tina’s was delicious. I highly recommend the breakfast burrito and the burgers. Staff at the camp store also very helpful and friendly.

Loved the campground, everything exceed our expectations. Our only comment would be in the future, maybe offer free upgrades. For example, we were in a grass spot and arrived after a tropical storm. We would have taken a different spot so that we didn't sink in and mess up the grass for the future. there were sites available. You could also use your KOA points for an upgrade if available.

RV Campsites need renovation by adding stone, or concrete pads. Rain turns the sites into a lake. Also, the daily rate needs to be reduced. I visited in April 2022, and the rate increased 30% in September 2023. Staff should remove the sand on steps to the beach, which is a hazard. Fish cleaning station was broken. Positives: Very clean bathrooms. Tina's poolside cafe. Tiki bar on weekends.

We really enjoyed our stay and were impressed by the campground. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The whole place was very clean and well taken care of. We highly recommend the on-site restaurant, as well! Unfortunately, we had to cut our stay short due to a tropical storm. They were quick to issue a refund and provide any help we needed.

The pool was fantastic. The activities for kids were pretty nice, although we didn't have any kids with us. I really like how the campground texted me everyday. The front office ladies were wonderful. The Wi-fi wasn't too great, at a time when we really needed it to keep an eye on hurricane Lee.

Location was perfect, and the staff was awesome! The showers off the beach were broken and the beach restrooms were dirty or in need of repair including the handicap bathroom. Other shower facilities had limited availability due to most being out of order. Amenities, like the pool, the poolside bar, and the store were very nice.

We had a great time.we liked our premium site it was clean. The fire pit was a hit.very easy access to ocean with golf cart parking. The staff was friendly.we will be coming back..

Nicest Camp Ground I have ever stayed in. The site is beautiful and well maintained, the staff both in the welcome center/store and maint staff around the grounds are so polite. The Bathhouse, toilets were AMAZINGLY ALWAYS clean! We had hookups, but I used the bathhouse, nice little walk and it was spacious, clean an like home. Property and location is just beautiful. Routine Trash pickups!

Great stay , but I wish people would clean up after dogs better. The steps to Get down to the Beach were so dangerous , and needed immediate attention ,but that didn’t happen while we were there . During our stay I only went down to the beach at the KOA two times ,because it was ,so dangerous getting down the steps .

Exciting place to visit we were right next to beach and loved it - we went to Kitty Hawk and LightHouse but had to leave early - due to tropical storm. Hoping to visit again.

Upon arrival I was greeted by a very nice woman behind the counter who explained everything in detail and was very kind and beautiful and personable… My stay there was delightful and I would stay there again in the future… Their amenities including trash pick up and ice and wood delivery were amazing and their pool area was just fantastic… Recommend… Yes recommend !!

We were unhappy overall. Ky in reservations allowed someone other than the Wards to cancel our reservation without contacting us to verify. They put us in a downgraded site, no sewage and on top of an ant hill resulting in a bad infestation. Then when sites with sewage came available, no one contacted us to see if we would like to move. Not a great experience.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. This place is fantastic and now that I’m back in Michigan, I keep thinking about the great time we had there. We are going to reserve a spot for the same time next year.

The spots are close together, it’s loud, and the bathrooms are DISGUSTING. Seriously, I don’t know if I’ve elver seen that much mold in a bathroom and I do a lot of traveling. You need to clean them!!!

The staff were amazing! The amenities for children in particular were darling. The glow train was so fun and she loved the bouncy balloon. The only reason I didn’t give it 10/10 and gave it 8/10, was because the hot tub needs to be regularly cleaned out. It was a bit….”used”. The pool, however, was sparkling and clean. Highly recommend this KOA!

Loved the staff (Gretchen, Susan, etc), the cleanliness, the pool, the activities, the laundry, shower, the restaurant, and, well, everything! I just wish we didn't have to be there in person to set up a guaranteed site. If we could do that over the phone or online, KOA would be perfect.

We have been here many times, both in and off season, and of course the location is top notch and very friendly KOA staff as always. Amenities and activities can be excellent for families. Really like the new text alerts for activities and important updates on the very large, beautiful grounds. However, unfortunately our most recent visit (April 2024) had a few issues. Even though we understand its the off season and it's a relatively remote location, the facilities could really use some updates and upgrades. Hot tub broken, no WIFI and only two cable channels, no lights at volleyball, beach showers by dunes broken and rusted handles. Hope for improvements in the future, as we would still like to return!

First off I would recommend this KOA to all, I see some of the bad reviews and totally disagree. The spots are very level, the staff is caring and amazing, the bath houses are super clean, the beach area is awesome, the sunsets ( waking distance) across the street are to die for and the wifi actually does work but don't expect high speed, use your own hotspot. This KOA is very centrally located and within driving distance to all of the outer banks attractions. Thank you KOA staff for making our visit amazing and our pups also thank you for the very nice large dog parks, woof.
