The grounds were well maintained, the amenities were excellent, and my campsite was just fine. I did notice that the restrooms were not cleaned often despite signs stating they were cleaned periodically through the day. I only witnessed the bath house being cleaned once. More than once there was blood on the floors/walls that was left for HOURS/overnight which is absolutely a biohazard.

Enjoyed the stay with the kids. They played on the bouncy pad, playground, and pool for hours. Walkable to the beach! Having Tina’s cafe on site was great for breakfast and lunch options.

Excellent KOA. Lots of amenities for the kids. Very clean. Incredibly polite and helpful staff. Great store with very affordable prices. Will definitely stay again!

We got 2 sites and tent camped here for 2 nights with 5 kids and 6 adults, including my elderly parents. Everyone enjoyed the trip. Beach during the day and pool time in the evening was great! The kids had a blast on the Glow Train. Our sites were thankfully next to each other and had a fire pit, grill, water, electric and picnic table with a cover. We'll be back!

First time staying there and was very impressed. The staff were great. Very friendly and helpful with almost any question. The park facilities are top notch. So happy with everything offered within the park alone. My dogs enjoyed their first trip to the ocean/beach.

Camp Staff were very kind and helpful and answered all my questions about the park and the surrounding area. Love that there is a "General Store" on-site to pick up extra items without having to drive anywhere. I love the Hot Tub/Pool Area for relaxing after a day's excursions up and down the Outer Banks. Bathrooms/Showers were always clean when I went and there was always an available room.

The deluxe tent site was fantastic. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. My reason for four stars was the cleanliness of the bathrooms. I do realize it’s a beach resort, but more could have been done to keep the floors clean. Also, some slight mold in the showers.

Facilities were very nice, however there had been a lot of rain the day we arrived and the camp site as well as the road leading to the bathrooms were flooded for several days making it impossible to simply walk around the campgrounds, we were in a tent site so didn’t have a lot of options. We dealt with this for 2 nights and were refused a refund for our remaining 2 nights. Disappointed.

One of the best KOAs we have had the pleasure of staying at. Tent site has a nice pad and large covered area for the picnic table. Highlights include that Koa stretches across the whole island so it was a 3 minute walk east to watch sunrise on the beautiful sandy beach and 3 minute walk west to a lovely field with rocking chairs, gazebos and a pier to watch the sunset.

Very family friendly, large rv campsite. We've stayed at the tent site: canopy, water, electricity - all working. Several restrooms/showers/ dish washing and dog washing stations. Quiet after 10pm. Great location: quick walk from surf to sound. We've been there twice already, and will return. 10/10

Campground was great! Every employee was friendly & helpful and the amenities were wonderful. Bathrooms and showers were clean and very close to our site. My only complaint was our tent site - the mulch bed needed to be weeded as did the grass but didn’t hinder us from having a great time. We would definitely return to this KOA location!!

Stayed on padded tent site and it rained so got a little soggy for us. The location is prime near the beach. Staff is friendly, cafe was nice. Bathrooms were ok I guess, loose toilet seats and piles of sand brought in from beachgoers. Some folks are just animals so not blaming koa for that.

We rented a cabin which was an excellent way to be steps from the beach on a budget. The best party of this campground is the "train" which gives kids rides through the campground blasting music and spraying them with water. The pool and convenience to the ocean were also incredible. Camp sites are very close together and lack the privacy other places have to offer.

I have stayed here more than once, and plan on coming back. I have only stayed in a tent. I love the relative isolation. The kids love the pool at least as much as the ocean!

We loved it so much we booked an extra night! This is the best campground we have ever visited. There were so many things to do for our children. They loved everything minute. We picked the coastal cottage and it was luxurious for a smaller cabin. They had everything except a tv. We booked an extra night in the rustic cabin and it was just what you needed to enjoy camping…especially A/C. The pool was huge and the tiki bar was a nice touch. They have daily activities for kids/families. We will be back!
