    Meet Your Hosts

    Ted Stevens

    Get outdoors and make memories!

Ted spent 30 years as an insurance company VP before retiring in 2015. He hit the road in his motor home with his mini dachshund, Cece, first exploring the west from the Dakotas to San Diego.  His first work kamper job in the summer of 2016 was at the Saco/Old Orchard Beach KOA in Saco, ME.  Then went on to work at Oceanside KOA in Bar Harbor, ME and Virginia Beach KOA.  In between summers with KOA, he spent time enjoying his lifelong passion, skiing. Working in the ski school for Vail Resorts in Breckenridge, CO and Park City, UT was a dream come true.  In October 2018 he went full time working for KOA as the Assistant Manager at the Cape Hatteras/Outer Banks KOA Resort, soon after being promoted to Operations Manager in January 2020 which solidified his knowledge running campgrounds.  After spending some time as General Manager for the Dallas / Arlington KOA Holiday Ted is happy to be back on the beach and taking the helm of the Outer Banks / Cape Hatteras KOA Resort.  In his free time he enjoys travel and thrives on change! He has visited 32 countries, has lived in nine states, and has been to every state except Arkansas. If you see Ted around the campground, be sure to say hi and let him know what fine state you're visiting from!
