We have stayed here several times in the past and always enjoy the area. We were not a fan of our camp site location site#249. There were 3 trailers that looked to be long term residents very unkept & trashy looking. I would go to another camp ground if I was put in the same location again. Monday night there was a Chevy truck with a person sitting in it idling for along time, made my wife nervou.

We loved saying at this KOA. It was clean, convenient and very well managed. They even deliver ice to your site! I would highly recommend this KOA in Cape Hatteras. We can't wait to return next year!

The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The activities they offered were so fun! I will absolutely be back. This KOA was also extremely clean and neat.

This KOA is amazing! The pool is huge, the playground is nice, lots of activities and things for the kids to do, prime location, and extremely clean. The staff is friendly and super helpful. We loved it so much, we are going back next month. :)

The campground was roomy with many amenities. In our site was a low part where there had been a water collection and it never dried up in the four nights that we were there. We would suggest that spots like this be covered with some type of rocky ground cover to make the whole site more useable. There were other sites with the same problem.

We had a great time while we were there. The only problem we had was that our campsite, number 100, the asphalt pad was very small, which created problems for us leveling in the sand. Additionally, the sewer access was about a foot above ground & on a small rise, which put it higher then the connection on my camper.

Amenities were great. Quiet hours not enforced. I was tent camping, and hardly slept from all the noise. Dogs barking, kids screaming, loud people entering/exiting campers after 11pm and before 7am (none of which bug me during the day) should not happen. PLEASE PUT ALL THE TENT CAMPERS IN ONE CORNER OF THE CAMPGROUND. It's also much quieter to set up a tent at 1am than a camper, trust me.

Pros: convenient location with good beach access, friendly staff, clean restrooms with very good water pressure in showers, great shelter over the picnic table Cons: the neighbor's sewage is DIRECTLY beside your picnic table put up a tarp to block view, the photo on website is deceiving dunes block any view of the ocean so no advantage staying & paying for "oceanfront," the hot tub was broken

We enjoyed everything about our stay! The staff there are very friendly. Our dogs loved the pet play area and we were so grateful for the pet bathing facilities. Be sure to bring bug spray for the mosquitoes.

Of the various KOAs where we have stayed, this was the best. Phenomenal, helpful staff (thank you for the Watermen's recommendation!), clean campground bathrooms and immaculate, tiled showers, and a wide variety of entertainment options including an OPEN lounge and cafe! In fact, we would stay here in preference to most of the 'nicer' private (non-KOA) campgrounds we've used before. Bravo! ATBste

We had a great time and were very impressed by this KOA. The amenities are great and the activities for the kids was a fun bonus. I do wish the pool was at least a little heated. It's already pretty much unusable and it's marketed as a "year round" pool. I was also a little annoyed at the site we were given. We were one of two occupied sites in our row and got parked in the muddiest spot.

Love this place! Have been coming every year since 2008! Given the small amount of local businesses open especially during the off-season would like to see the camp store open later in the evenings?

Overall a great visit however the hottub has not worked since June 2023 during our last visit to this KOA. Staff is great.

Our stay was very windy and damp. WE could not use the beach at all due to winds. Campground is nice. People constantly circling picking up trash and monitoring activity. It appears a lot of people who work there also live there in trailers.

We stayed for four nights at the end of September. Our only complaint was the weather. The campground was terrific and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The pool area was really impressive, and we loved playing music bingo on Tuesday night.

Very beautiful campground, well located with many nice amenities. However the super nice and clean pool had its water more than cold !!! And the jacuzzi water was disgusting!!! The management should have posted these inconveniences into their Website

It was very clean. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. The pool and Tiki Bar were very nice and the food at Tina’s was delicious. I highly recommend the breakfast burrito and the burgers. Staff at the camp store also very helpful and friendly.

Loved the campground, everything exceed our expectations. Our only comment would be in the future, maybe offer free upgrades. For example, we were in a grass spot and arrived after a tropical storm. We would have taken a different spot so that we didn't sink in and mess up the grass for the future. there were sites available. You could also use your KOA points for an upgrade if available.

First off I would recommend this KOA to all, I see some of the bad reviews and totally disagree. The spots are very level, the staff is caring and amazing, the bath houses are super clean, the beach area is awesome, the sunsets ( waking distance) across the street are to die for and the wifi actually does work but don't expect high speed, use your own hotspot. This KOA is very centrally located and within driving distance to all of the outer banks attractions. Thank you KOA staff for making our visit amazing and our pups also thank you for the very nice large dog parks, woof.
