The campground was great. The personal were friendly and helpful. The only small negative is the bathrooms, they could be cleaner.

Chose this CG for our extended family's vacation Plenty of activities for all! Large sites! Underage electric cart drivers made walking at night especially at night tricky.

Location was nice, however, this park should not be listed as a resort or charge as such. Just having a cafe does not make a resort. Sites are very tight and close, barley had room for my RV and towed. Used the laundry and was really disappointed. Very dirty only one dryer working others broken and appears all are on the last leg. The only thing it really has going for it was the beach.

Awesome location to vacation. All the staff are very hard working to ensure you have a great experience. I really enjoyed the amenities and the activities they offer so close to the water.

Two problems I see with this campground. Becoming very expensive to stay there. And I have expressed before, , you need to get control of the golf cart situation. Under age children operating them. Operating wrecklessly and driving too fast.

My wife & I stayed for a week, wish we would have stayed another week. Great resort & location right on the Atlantic with a beautiful beach to walk, play in the waves, or simply relax. The pool area & Tiki Bar were great, our kudos to Jim. yes, the Tiki bombs are a hit. Only thing, next year is full service site! Our stay was great. However my family stayed in cabins ones with no bathrooms and said how disgusting the bathrooms and showers were. Looks like they were never cleaned and smelled so bad. Unfortunately they will never be back. We on the other hand loved our site whoever need to be cut in the back of the dune sites.

Great, nice clean grassy site. Just walk to beach and swim. All the bath and shower houses air conditioned, trash pick up at your site, we loved our stay. Only thing I did not like was it seamed every other camper had a dog or dogs, a little too pet friendly for me but campers kept them well cared for with no barking and cleaned up.

We have been coming to KOA for 10+ years. We love the campground and staff! I was a bit discouraged that the hot tub wasn't working again. Unfortunately, my KOA rewards cannot keep up with the changes/increases in pricing. I feel it's bad business for those committed to a full week in your deluxe pull thru w/patio sites to have the nightly rates change according to the day of the week.

Clean, comfortable, relaxing campground. Beach is just a few steps away. Bathhouse and showers convenient to clean up from beach. Gorgeous large swimming pool in other direction. Children and adults can both enjoy. I wanted to stay forever. Everyone I met was smiling and happy. Will be back for more fun in the sun.

We had a wonderful time at the KOA in Hatteras, it was our first trip there and we will be coming back for sure. I did feel the campsite are right on top of each other and our grass area was over grown. We did see someone cutting grass as people left, so maybe it was just missed in between leaving & coming. The activities were great and the staff was great at regulating the kids & teenagers.

We were placed I a cramped site, no trees, and they price gouge. It cost 20/tank to empty my waste and one of the tanks was empty snd I still had to pay! Small bags of ice that cost less than 3 dollars per bag were sold for more than 6 and their golf carts were also overpriced by 25 dollars per day!

This campground is great! Tons of activities for kids. The train ride, huge nice playground, volleyball net, basketball hoop, the bounce pad, hot tub, huge pool. Staff was incredibly nice.. shout out to Ginny & Dawn, they are SO nice & it was always nice making conversation with them every time my daughter & I went in. We booked our 3rd stay this year while we were there.

Great beach access, centrally located to all the POI’s of the Outer Banks. Member Services sent daily texts of the campground activities and other good to know campground information.

Beautiful location, clean facilities and good activities and amenities. The issue is the roving gangs of young non licensed teenagers on golf carts whipping around after dark. There was zero enforcement of the rules. Also concerning is the husband/wife staff members double dipping doing RV repairs, call the office and they are quick to recommend them with their lettered up truck parked outside.

Love this campground! Perfect location, love being so close to the beach. Facilities could use some updates. Laundry room had 1 broken washer and 2 broken dryers, sink in laundry room was also broken. Grass needed cut. Hot tub was dirty, we couldn’t get in because it didn’t look clean at all. Staff was always friendly and helpful in store and restaurant. Overall excellent campground

We had a very enjoyable stay overall. The only thing we didn't appreciate as much was the light pollution from fellow campers around not shutting off their neon lights at night. Other than that the campground itself was beautiful and very dog friendly, the staff was attentive and welcoming, and we thoroughly enjoyed the short distance to the beach access. We will definitely be back!

Prem. Site had big stain with chunks on the concrete. I had to clean it, took an hour. Next morning, asked that they power wash it...nope, sent worker who looked at it twice over 4 hrs and then finally poured h2o over it and left. 2 workers next morning "hiding" at beach front (their words) Bathhouse filthy 24/7, door#4 knob broken...got stuck in bathhouse. Neighbor ran gen for 6 hours....

We enjoyed the amenities. Howe ever, the campsites were too close together. We also found it odd that the campsites did not have a small charcoal grill.

Sad to see the pool slides gone and hot tub did not work properly. Very sad to see the pirates ship not in use. The shower houses were very dirty. And as always the restaurant closes too early.

The dog park really needs a water source for the dogs and a shaded area for owners to stand would be lovely. The camp store needs more snack items. The communication via text regarding activities is fantastic and the best I've experienced in years.

The location of this campground and its facilities were amazing. However, the campground was filled up and we were the only ones using a tent. The tent sight was in the middle of the campground and we heard the hum of everyone's generators and air-conditioners all night long. Also, when you go, best to bring your own food as there are not many restaurants in the area and they fill up fast.

Overall it was ok. Negatives were the hot tub, and pool were not clean. Seemed like the filters were off. Feathers and other stuff floating on top of water. Too many kids driving recklessly on golf carts. It would help to have a walkway along the main road into the campground from the office to the ocean. Too much traffic between the vehicles, kids on bikes, all the golf carts and scooters.

Love this campsite. Our campsite was right near the beach. Best site ever! The grounds are clean with plenty of activities. We cannot wait for our next trip to the KOA Outer Banks. The staff was great and the bathrooms spotless. Definitely recommend this campground.

It was great but the hot tub looked like a cesspool of germs and the jets weren't working, and the last step down from the dunes to the beach was missing so that's a MAJOR accident waiting to happen. It's dangerous. Fix those two SAFETY-RELATED things, and it's all good.

Last step from main stairs to beach is a little difficult for us older folks. could use at least one more step. Rest of stay was great. Wifi was weak but expected when you have that many people trying to access the web at the same time. Staff was great everyone was courteous and very helpful when needed. Will definitely be back again.

The location is amazing and the campground had some fun activities. However unfortunately there was a large lack of cleanliness. The pool and spa were really dirty but the bath houses were disgusting. It’s a shame because we love KOA and this is the first time we have ever felt the need to leave any kind of negative feedback.

You guys were so friendly and welcoming! We were very satisfied with our stay and can’t wait to plan our next trip back. Our dog got out and the camp ground sent out an SOS to all the workers and campers in an attempted to help find him! The campground was so well kept and was perfect for our family vacation! The night time crab hunting, the tiki bar, the jump pad, the wagon rides I could go on!

We have been here many times, both in and off season, and of course the location is top notch and very friendly KOA staff as always. Amenities and activities can be excellent for families. Really like the new text alerts for activities and important updates on the very large, beautiful grounds. However, unfortunately our most recent visit (April 2024) had a few issues. Even though we understand its the off season and it's a relatively remote location, the facilities could really use some updates and upgrades. Hot tub broken, no WIFI and only two cable channels, no lights at volleyball, beach showers by dunes broken and rusted handles. Hope for improvements in the future, as we would still like to return!

First off I would recommend this KOA to all, I see some of the bad reviews and totally disagree. The spots are very level, the staff is caring and amazing, the bath houses are super clean, the beach area is awesome, the sunsets ( waking distance) across the street are to die for and the wifi actually does work but don't expect high speed, use your own hotspot. This KOA is very centrally located and within driving distance to all of the outer banks attractions. Thank you KOA staff for making our visit amazing and our pups also thank you for the very nice large dog parks, woof.
