Only complaint was sandspurs around the back of my camper, where I was washing my feet after being on the beach, otherwise we enjoyed our stay, and we already have our bext visit scheduled, see you then!

Facilities were very clean. Plenty to keep family busy or simply relax. Playground and bounce house is great. Pool area was very nice. Shower and bathroom facilities were well maintained and clean even with the heavy traffic/use over the busy weekend. Camp store was well stocked with anything you might need dusting your stay or might have forgotten to bring with you.

We had a wonderful time. One of the staff members, her name was Betsy, was great. She was always smiling had a great attitude and so very helpful.

The KOA was perfectly situated right at the beach, had an awesome pool with a gradual decline into deeper waters (perfect for our little kids), offered great food at Tina's Cafe and drinks at the tiki hut, and planned plenty of fun for the kids. Only con: mosquitoes were RELENTLESS, so plan and pack accordingly! Still, already looking forward to coming back next season. Thank you!

This is our 2nd time at KOA Rodanthe and we loved it! So many great activities for the kids and all the staff was super nice! We already booked our next stay and can’t wait to come back!!!

We just stayed the last weekend, 9/8 thru 9/10, everything was wonderful, everyone was polite, attentive, courteous. At night is nice and quiet. Pool was great, everything was clean, I just can't say enough. We can't wait to go back. Thanks so much for everything!

The campground was well maintained. Not a lot to do in the area except beach or KOA activities unless you drive 10-30 miles. Other than that it was fine.

No problem with anything to complain about. Campgrounds were very clean and maintained. Things for the kids to do have been uplifting to see.

Easy check-in, very clean and a great welcoming staff. Nice spot and great amenities. This was our second time camping in the Outer Banks and we will definitely return to the KOA for another trip.

Our stay was pleasant, the staff was helpful and friendly. We have stayed at the campground several times and enjoy it each time. One complaint though: We were on site 407. Trailers located across the street, against the fence, are an eyesore. Junk vehicles and equipment and trailers in general disrepair and poor condition. I am really surprised that corporate KOA allows this to continue

Excellent stay, friendly staff, nice facilities. However, the rampant and open use of Marijuana by other campers needs to be stopped immediately. This is a family campground, and that is unacceptable with children around. Fortunately the Dare County Sherriffs office takes that offense seriously and is very responsive.

Awesome as usual. I need to pick a different date period. 2 years in a row we spent 2 days in the rv through a tropical storm lol. It was still a great vacation.

Our stay was amazing! We ended up extending our stay to 10 days. We will most definitely be back! I love how many activities there are for the kids and our favorite place was the pool! Having the cafe, restrooms, bar and activites close to the pool made our days so much nicer.

I really enjoyed the activities that were planned for the children and it was nice to receive a text let me know what and when each event was happening. Instead of carrying a piece of paper around with you. The campground was kept very nice and clean.

Great. We will be back. No complaints. It was the perfect getaway. The staff was over the top helpful, and there were so many conveniences that we did not expect. Amazing. There were accommodations for every person or group. Very clean and super friendly.

Enjoyed our stay but sites are a little tight for the prices we paid. Holiday weekend or not $215 per night is crazy. But we paid and tried somewhere new. But love the concrete area with chairs and fire pit.

We only had two issues with our stay the bathrooms are disgusting. Camp ground or not they should be being cleaned daily with all the people staying there. One shower stall was covered in feces! We used the same stall the three days and the same pant liner, glob of hair were still there. Also we had a family get there at 9pm to set up there tent with high beams right in our face for almost 2 hour!

Traveled with 3 other couples. We booked for 3 nights - Hurricane Idalia decided to make an entrance so we decided to leave early - KOA refunded our last night - no problems. This campground has a Beautiful Pool area - and it’s right on the beach. Sad we had to leave early. We had a great time.

Great visit, very professional staff. Beach a two minute walk. Hurricane threw us a curve ball, but stuff happens. We will be back!

We had a great visit! Pool is clean and big enough to not be bothered by others. Beach is amazing! Had fun at the Tiki bar and the front desk and store personnel were the best! Thanks! We already booked for next summer!!

Best KOA we’ve stayed at. The staff was amazing in every way. The grounds were clean, the staff again was amazing. We had a spot by the dunes. Just a great KOA all around.

The campground was amazing. We loved everything about it. The beach was perfect. The pool and tiki bar was phenomenal and all the activities kept my kids busy all week. Special thanks to all the staff who were exceptional! The girl at the tiki bar service skills and personality was simply the best around. The activity staff kept us busy all week. Thank you all!! Can’t wait to come again.

The staff was very friendly very helpful. Lundry room in the center camp ground had 6 broken units main lundry everythin was working but the floors were dirty the washing machines were filthy hadent been cleaned for sometime. we cleand up trash and etc. Lots were just ok large gravel hard to walk on no pads for the rig or tables not as nice as I thought a KOA was supposed to be. :/

Had a great time this past week at OBX KOA. Staff was always nice and helpful. Pool was great. Hot tub looked a little cloudy though. One suggestion as I stayed in site 109, the shade shelters are a great thing, but it would make things a whole lot easier to get the campers in the sites against the dunes if they were toward the back of the sites. It is already tight backing in those sites.

Overall, very nice until you look at the details. The absolute worst thing was the cleaning and upkeep of the bath house and bathrooms, they were not cleaned often enough or not at all and in one bath house had 6 out of the 8 showers out of order, how is it possible at the rates they charge to have 75% of the showers not working, pretty unacceptable.

We have been here many times, both in and off season, and of course the location is top notch and very friendly KOA staff as always. Amenities and activities can be excellent for families. Really like the new text alerts for activities and important updates on the very large, beautiful grounds. However, unfortunately our most recent visit (April 2024) had a few issues. Even though we understand its the off season and it's a relatively remote location, the facilities could really use some updates and upgrades. Hot tub broken, no WIFI and only two cable channels, no lights at volleyball, beach showers by dunes broken and rusted handles. Hope for improvements in the future, as we would still like to return!

First off I would recommend this KOA to all, I see some of the bad reviews and totally disagree. The spots are very level, the staff is caring and amazing, the bath houses are super clean, the beach area is awesome, the sunsets ( waking distance) across the street are to die for and the wifi actually does work but don't expect high speed, use your own hotspot. This KOA is very centrally located and within driving distance to all of the outer banks attractions. Thank you KOA staff for making our visit amazing and our pups also thank you for the very nice large dog parks, woof.
