This is our 4th year at this campground. We have the best time here. This year we were greeted with mimosas!! Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend and we’ll see y’all again next year!!

The cabins are always clean and well stocked. They even provided food/water dishes for pets! Staff is friendly and check—in/check-out is easy.

Too bad there's a 400 character limit. I could write a book about how great this KOA is. Excellent, clean facility. Literal walk to the beach. The best part? The staff, hands down. From day 1, I was made to feel like family. Customer service is KING with these folks. Go make your reservation. NOW.

Staff very friendly. Park itself was clean, well maintained. Really appreciate the shelter over the picnic table, not all parks have that. Very nice that the trash is picked up at your site ANYTIME of the day between 8 am and 6 pm. This was OFF season. Plan to stay at this park again, when visiting The Outer Banks of North Carolina. Seasonal activities sound really fun..

Can't wait to go back! Hopefully with warmer weather. the KOA was great. Bathrooms super clean. My wife & I liked the shower / bathroom / sink combo to clean up. The topper was firewood delivery right to our campsite. we were there off season so maybe not so busy but OMG I think you got the firewood to the campsite in less than 7 minutes. I'm pretty sure it takes longer to make pizza! 2 thumbs

Great service off season - one day notice and scored a spot up against the sand dunes, next to the ocean. Great service ( I think I saw more employees than guests). Dawn/Don scored 2 beach chairs so we could sit on the sand (apparently departing guest leave things behind). Loved the bike trail along the main road. Great spot!

Cabin floor was rotting door had a huge gaping hole blinds falling down other than that is was quite relaxing. I will be back Happy Holidays to all an thank you

The cabin does need some TLC. The cabinets are peeling in places. The wood paneling by the TV over the table and in the bedroom over the wall mounted lights have a good layer of dust. It’s not very visible in the daylight but is definitely seen when lights are turned on after dark. The table has lots of crumbs and sand between the pieces of wood. The sofa is peeling too, slipcovers would be good

We always enjoy our stay here. I would recommend some slight fixes, however, to the deluxe cabins. The shower handle in our cabin was broken and extremely hard to turn, making it difficult to adjust the hot/cold water. I would also recommend taking the unused air conditioner units down, as they are very rusty and unsightly. Other than some cosmetic issues, we have a wonderful stay as always!

There were plenty of available sites but all campers were place all together! Multiple campers had multiple vehicles on their sites and hard a hard time towing out on the day we were leaving due to multiple cars being parted on the roads! The desk staff was rude when checking in or anytime we called the office! We will be looking for a different campground next time.

We enjoyed our stay and the campground was well maintained. The employees were very helpful and cordial. The only thing negative was the washers and dryers were not working and I had to go to the main building to do laundry.

Nice friendly staff, lots of activities even in the off season. Nice sites and off season is the best time to be there.Not crowded down side is a lot of the restaurants were closed but other than that it was great.

The best customer service at any campground I've been to! The staff from the front desk, to those who maintain the grounds and deliver firewood were so gracious and helpful. I was able to check in just a little early to store our belongings, which was beyond helpful. Because of that, I joined the members reward program and now will stay with KOA in my travels.

Friendly staff, clean facilities. Do suggest adding a "porta potty" and trash can to the fishing pier.

2nd time here...love the location and access to the beach. Picked our site based off of our first visit. Across from the bath house with laundry room but this time, every machine was out of order.

The weather was cold and the hot tub was under maintenance but it didn’t stop our fun! We played volleyball, enjoyed the rec room and bbqed! It was a great time!

We have been coming to this campground since our youngest was in diapers and he’s now 31 years old. We enjoy the atmosphere and the area. We were surprised by one thing and that was how when campers left firewood bundles around us as a campers courtesy to the next camper, the KOA employees rushed in to grab it and take it away. I’m guessing to resell? Not sure, but thought that to be sad if so

We have been here many times, both in and off season, and of course the location is top notch and very friendly KOA staff as always. Amenities and activities can be excellent for families. Really like the new text alerts for activities and important updates on the very large, beautiful grounds. However, unfortunately our most recent visit (April 2024) had a few issues. Even though we understand its the off season and it's a relatively remote location, the facilities could really use some updates and upgrades. Hot tub broken, no WIFI and only two cable channels, no lights at volleyball, beach showers by dunes broken and rusted handles. Hope for improvements in the future, as we would still like to return!

First off I would recommend this KOA to all, I see some of the bad reviews and totally disagree. The spots are very level, the staff is caring and amazing, the bath houses are super clean, the beach area is awesome, the sunsets ( waking distance) across the street are to die for and the wifi actually does work but don't expect high speed, use your own hotspot. This KOA is very centrally located and within driving distance to all of the outer banks attractions. Thank you KOA staff for making our visit amazing and our pups also thank you for the very nice large dog parks, woof.
