We really enjoyed the covered shelter. We stayed on a pull thru patio lot and it was great. I was glad we were not on the patio lots on 400…. I assume that area may be for your employees but it really needs to be cleaned up. That area is the only reason I didn't rate the park as a 5. We loved the pool but you do need additional seating at the pool. There is plenty of room for more tables/chairs.

I’m not sure if this is a new thing for KOA or if it’s just more common on east coast KOA’s but the golf cart rentals and usage on property is out of control. If this is the direction of KOA properties I will no longer be a customer. Allowing kids to scream around the property with music blasting all hours of the day is not what I’m looking for when trying to get away.

Always good to come down. Been coming to the campground when it first became a KOA. Now all the family gets together for a 2 week stay.

Everything was in the cabin that was needed, just had some bugs that I wish were not there. The cabin was spacious had everything i needed. Very nice campground.

Deluxe cabin we stayed in was just ok. The bathroom smelled like urine and one of the totes that stored bedding had bugs inside. Other than that..it was ok. For the price we payed no one should have any of those issues or concerns.

We love this KOA! Large, flat sites, a huge pool, easy access to the beach and an on-site restaurant that serves delicious breakfast and lunch. The maintenance staff promptly fixed a problem with the shore power.

Our stay this year was disappointing. Even under new management, the campground has offered less and still charging more. KOA campgrounds have just become finically prohibitive. After 8 years of staying here, we will not be back.

Overall great campground with good activities and amenities. Wish there were more septic sights, especially being at a beach. Two campgrounds around then offer all full hook ups, not sure why this campground can not. There is no handicap accessibility for the beach.. steep dangerous steps and only one access for beach.

The campground was very clean; they offered a TON of activities for the kids. My biggest complaint would be the stairs going out to the beach. My second complaint would be the dog owners. They were very rude as far as letting their dog just poop anywhere. I said something to two owners who let their dog just poop on my site. Another dog barked from 5:30 AM until night at EVERY person.

We really enjoyed our stay! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The only complaint we had was the bathrooms were pretty dirty during our entire stay.

The grounds were well maintained, the amenities were excellent, and my campsite was just fine. I did notice that the restrooms were not cleaned often despite signs stating they were cleaned periodically through the day. I only witnessed the bath house being cleaned once. More than once there was blood on the floors/walls that was left for HOURS/overnight which is absolutely a biohazard.

Enjoyed the stay with the kids. They played on the bouncy pad, playground, and pool for hours. Walkable to the beach! Having Tina’s cafe on site was great for breakfast and lunch options.

Bathrooms rarely had toliet paper and we had no knowledge that the ramp beach acesss with less stairs was closed upon check in.

Overall it was a wonderful stay and a lovely campground. I would recommend just a few things though … bbq grills at all campsites, shelves in showers, better pool maintenance on equipment (there was such a loud constant whistling noise), and better attention to the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Thanks!

Your support staff out in the Golf carts were amazing. 10/10 Your office folk up front were ok 6/10. Not rude but not outgoing or friendly like last year.Also, no one up front asked for or reminded us about next year's reservations which I thought was odd. Atmosphere was good but we did notice a large uptick of pot smoking on the grounds and beach. Not necessarily your fault but worth mentioning

Fabulous family vacation. Amenities are well maintained. Activities for the kids are great. Tina’s poolside cafe and the Tiki Hut is a hit!!

I keep coming back for the amazing views and friendly staff, but it’s getting hard to justify the cost. Non-guests can enjoy many of the same amenities, making the value questionable. The employee housing areas were poorly maintained and made my child uncomfortable. Also, the beach is essentially gone at high tide, which I wish had been disclosed before booking.

Rude staff! I asked for clean towels and was told that I'd need to wait three days, with tons of attitude, like I'd done something wrong. I insisted and asked for 4 towels for my family, instead, I received 2. Another guest told me a staff member cursed under her breath when she asked for toilet paper. All signs say to simply call for towels. For $350 a night, can I have toilet paper & a towel?

It was great! Only complaint was in our cabin one of the air conditioning units and fan went off on the middle of the night, each night. Then the room was quite warm for our kids. It was looked at by maintenance but still happened cabin 517. But an overall wonderful experience!

The campground itself was nice but the bathrooms is what made us pack up early and leave. Starting Thursday evening there was either little or no toilet paper in any bathrooms. If there was tp, it was just sat on the top of the toilet tank where EVERY person has to touch the whole roll to get any- it was VERY unsanitary.

Was a great stay with the location had more full hookups having your own bathroom is part of the reason of having a camper but the do an okay job at maintaining the bathhouses staff was great plenty of kid activities

Really enjoyed most but just too packed in for us? Great amenities but thought rates were a little high and with those rates and no sewer, pumping should be free? It is at some others we have stayed.

Me and a buddy rented a primitive cabin for a week and it actually had a fridge in it this time which was a nice upgrade, as I have stayed at this KOA in most of its lodgings including many of the primitive cabins. The air conditioners could stand to be upgraded in these units imo but everything was great.

What a great place to stay. We had family and friends from out of state join us for Father’s Day. The pool and site ammonites were simply amazing.

This was the first year I haven’t given five stars. It is solely based on the fact that the bathrooms were not kept up properly. I never saw anyone cleaning them and there was frequently no toilet paper. Otherwise, our stay was excellent.

This is the 5th time we've stayed here since 2018 and this was by far the worst year. It seemed like they just stopped putting effort into the camp. The pool pump was screaming, they had some of their cabins in pretty bad disrepair, the one entrance to the beach was shut down to be rebuilt and no one was working on it, the bathrooms all stunk outside, the beach was half washed out. Look elsewhere

Had a great time. Nice campsite clean bathhouse and the staff are great. Kids had a amazing time and really enjoying all the activities especially the fun train. Will definitely be coming back next year

This is a great campground. My only concern is lack of security. I feel like anyone can come in and take part in the amenities like the pool. There was a gentleman who was acting erratic and his kid at the pool who did not have a camper or cabin. It looked liked they had a car parked by the pool. After I’ve noticed this I realized anyone can just drive in and use the pool and campground amenitie

We had multiple family members stay this year. We were in space 107 but we had other family members in 1201 and M302 and M304. Everyone had a great time. We only had one issue in 1201. Their air conditioning broke down at 3 AM nights of their stay that unit most likely needs to be replaced. It looks like the same unit that my daughter dealt with during her stay two years ago.

I love the Cape Hatteras KOA. I’ve stayed here multiple times over the years and haven’t had a bad experience. I will say this time it was inconvenient to have the ramp entrance to the beach shut down. Having to carry all our stuff up and down the stairs wasn’t ideal. Also this time, we stayed in a cabin and the AC had trouble keeping up with the heat and humidity making it hard to get good

We appreciated the clean and well maintained amenities plus the activities available. It is a destination spot so we anticipated it to be crowded but it was really crowded, June mid week. Loved the direct beach access, cafe, and the large pool. It was a great mix of camping and true resort feel.

Had to pay $40 for black order and gray water to be emptied. Golf carts were $80 so I didn’t get one of them other than now it’s very fulfilling for the children. The pool was excellent. It just wasn’t used to a small beach at the ocean, but it was clean. showers were clean. The toilets were clean.

We enjoyed the amenities and close proximity to the beach and bay. The campground is well run, clean and has much to do for all ages. Recommend!

Great family campground. Decent accommodations from tent sites, cabins, to rv sites. Large swimming pool with hot tub, and sauna. Has a playground and a large inground jumping pillow. Pet friendly with dog washing stations next to the beach area and they have a dog park. Good memories are always made here!

We rented a cabin which was an excellent way to be steps from the beach on a budget. The best party of this campground is the "train" which gives kids rides through the campground blasting music and spraying them with water. The pool and convenience to the ocean were also incredible. Camp sites are very close together and lack the privacy other places have to offer.
